Thanks Mary

That one is scary! Too much stuff! I think I will just wind it!

Some of the stuff on there was a little different--like ask your room steward for an extra compass? And pack your old socks and undies and don't bring them home to get more luggage space. :crazy2:

Our giclee came today via Fed Ex.
I really like it. It is nicer that I expected. Here is a dumb question. Do you hang it as is or put it in some kind of frame?

I just now went through the list and does anyone really bring this much stuff? I can't imagine it. How many bags would you need to pack?

I saw a picture over on the DVC forums of someone who framed it with a plain white frame with no glass. I like that idea. I think they said they were able to buy a ready-made from which helps too.

I asked the same thing. Some folks are just hanging it as is. I was thinking of a frame (like you would for an oil painting on a canvas...) :goodvibes

I think it is way too much stuff. Hey that one was in the FAQ when I revamped it. I just put the old link in. :)

We will hang it as it is. I bought some posters (4 of them 1 each of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto & Donald) and I am planning on framing them the same way the giclee is framed.

Must have been before or after they dropped off ours! :cool1:

I love it!!

I can't wait to have it framed. I knew what it looked like from the DVC board but had no idea just how cool it was going to look in actuality.

Along with a dog bone for our dog! I think the Fed Ex lady is trying to bribe the dogs.

Cool!

I refuse to do laundry on board ship... too many FUN activities to do. :cool1:

On our Panama Canal trip, we really did mail some things home... some of which was laundry! Looking back now, it would have been much cheaper to throw the 2 sets of 17 days of underwear away to have the luggage space. (ha!... go figure!)

For our 4 day cruise, it wouldn't buy you too much space.

We are packing an extra cloth bag just in case we do need more luggage due to the gifts we receive onboard. :Pinkbounc

Yeah! More are being delivered!

Cindy I agree with you. I thought it looked cool on the DVC board but it looks even better in person.

I was a bit disappointed because the way people were talking over there the outside box was cool so when I saw this plain brown box I was sad. Then I opened it up and saw the fun box inside. Love the pop up candles!

Did you all also see there are people over on the DVC forums who are against DVC wasting our money for this (though I really think it comes out of the marketing budget). Of course many of them are most likely also the ones who don't like the idea of a Member Cruise because it is a rip-off. :)

That print put a smile on my face for the rest of the day!

But not our dog. :(

Tony ( :dogdance: ) has such a bad wrap around our neighborhood. For some reason, our letter carrier Matt is afraid of him? I know Matt gives treats to the other dogs around, but never to Tony. Matt thinks that Tony is out to get him because he wears a uniform. What Matt doesn't realize is that Tony would need to find a new home if he ever showed any type of aggression.

That's okay, Tony has enough treats here. Silly dog, won't even go outside without the bribe of one (shhhh, don't tell Gary ;) ).

What can I say I've been involved in some very chatty threads. If you do a sort of the cruise meets threads I've been involved in 4 of the top 10.

#1 Blabbermouths - 50,914 of which 3,060 are mine (#6 on that list)

#2 Dec. 04 10 day holiday cruise - 26,307 of which 2,821 are mine (#2 on list)

#4 This thread 22,520 of which 2,298 are mine (I'm #3)

#10 SSMC05 thread 14,318 of which 1,759 are mine (I'm #2)
Thats a whole lot of posting...but it was all enjoyed!!

That's what my mom always told me. She said that she would get me the basics, but if I wanted designer jeans, etc, I had better get a job (without sacrificing grades) to pay for them, because she wouldn't do it.
Same thing my mom told me...we had the necesitites and what ever else we wanted...work for it
