Well luckily I won't be flying anywhere. My next surgical consult is Sept. 27th then hopefully surgery that week or the week after.

The recovery time is 3-5 days until I can drive and then maybe a week after at the most.

I should be well by the time I am on the cruise.

ER WOW is right....talk about a roller coaster ride. I don't read any spoilers on the show, because usually the show isn't that exciting, but I spent the whole episode going--oh no--he/she CAN'T die!! They aren't going to kill that poor baby, are they? :sad1:

Well it is ER but I hope not since Dr. Carter's baby died. I was on pins and needles the entire time. But I do feel that those of us who have not given birth should have been WARNED about the GROSS stuff they were going to show. Plus we were eating pizza :scared:  which was not a good idea!

Just a reminder that tonight is cruise chat. Karen should be back so I don't have to stay in the main room. Do we want to try for one of the other rooms? If so I suggest we get together at 8:30 Eastern to make sure we get one. They fill up fast.

I like the idea of a private room only because we'll have less people that way and can talk just about our cruise.

Thoughts? Suggestions?
I'll try to be there early. Chris is flying in tonight at around 7pm, and we have to pick Emily up from her friends' house, but we'll be home after that.

Good luck, Cheryl!! Hope you're better soon!!!

I won't be there unless you are :chat: late.

Walker & I are off to see Monsters Inc on ice tonight. :sulley:

I have given birth--twice. Both were C-sections and I wasn't prepared to see that!! :faint: But I'm all too familiar with the "Mag" they were referring to. I was on that with Emma and it kicked my butt!!

I think because they are making it look really bad in the preview for next week that the baby will pull through. They just need the baby to be in really bad condition to bring Sally Field back to get the ratings up. :thumbsup2 I did really think that Jerry was going to die though because I saw him on another show. :confused3 And was it me or did--I can't think of his name, the other check in area guy, the one who had the heart attack--he looked horrible, didn't he?

For the record, that's my plan--buy 2, keep one for us and help absorb the cost of a $40 Elmo with the sale of the other one (to Julie with my highly inflated ebay fees!)

You guys do realize I'm joking about robbing Julie on ebay, right?

:happytv: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I DO

(I hope she's joking or I may have to fly up there and hide in the pool with the frogs)

You'll have to let me know how it is. I got the presale postcard in the mail the other day and Emma was really excited. She's been to Finding Nemo and the Princesses, so it's a bit of a tradition now, but I think Monsters may not have enough "action" for her to stay focused. I was hoping for 100 Years of Magic for this area.

Shana Tova to my fellow Jewish Diser's

I really want to go to services tomorrow, but with the pain in my side due to gallstones. I'm not sure we'll be able to go.

Cheryl

Cheryl, if you really are in that much pain, you should just go to the ER. There's no sense in being in pain that long, especially if you can't do your daily things. Feel better soon!

Oh yes, definately a treat that magnesium sulfate. For those who complained about pitosin, they should try a drip of that.

It seemed to me like Frank was out of place and thinking back on his days of having a heart attack. I really thought Jerry was going to die. I like how the split the time between the two surgical cases.

I hope the baby is okay. I wasn't happy when Carter's baby died, although I didn't like him at all with his girlfriend -- what was her name?

Happy Jewish New Year to all who celebrate!

David - that is a good one!

Diana - I agree with you about Sally Field (I like her) and am glad Jerry lived - he's one of my favs!

Cindy - I only caught the end of CSI so did Nick do that to Kathryn??? I'm confused!

Cheryl - girl feel better!

Curt - hmm have to think about that one!

Oh Dr Carter was my favorite (ok after Dr Green and George's character - can you tell how long I've watched?) ... I cried cried cried when the baby died

I was really surprised when Walker said he wanted to go. He went in the spring to see the Incredibles with a friend and enjoyed it. I'm hoping he likes this as much.

It's Mommy/Walker weekend as Gary & Cameron are off camping this weekend with Boy Scouts.

Walker has soccer at 5 & then we are off to a 7 p.m. performance.

Walker & I are selling Cub Scout popcorn tomorrow morning outside the grocery store. Is anyone interested in any? If not, maybe you'd be more interested in a pine wreath that Cameron's selling for Boy Scouts. It never stops around here.

Oh no!

Nick & Kathryn were in the bar having a drink and dancing together. Another woman came a long and wanted to dance with Nick, which he did. Kathryn went back to the bar, sat down and someone came over and said the man at the end of the bar wanted to buy her a drink. Kathryn declined, took a sip of her drink which was sitting on the bar, and things started to get foggy and spin. I'm sure the guy at the end of the bar put something in it and he's the one who took her back to the hotel room.

Let me guess, from the first days.

I had a love/hate thing with Dr. Benton. I liked him at times, but thought he was a bit arrogant at other times.

I loved Dr. Ross --- even if he did goof off once and a while. I liked him with Carol and was glad that they followed through on their storyline.

I love Dr. Greene --- hated his wife but loved when he got together with Elisabeth.

Those were the days. I still hope it goes out with a bang.

I'm not really sure. They found the person she was with and kind of showed that she accidently flew over the railing to her death. But, I think that was the end of that case.

It seemed to me like the two new stories came out of no where. I thought at first Nick & Kathryn were just out for the night, having a drink and it drove from there into the other two segments. Very choppy to me --- I don't like when I think back on it and can't remember quite clearly how we got to that point. I hope this isn't a new trend for this year.

I was SO disappointed that they didn't start off with Sara & Grissom -- as they left off last season. I felt a huge let down.

OMG, listen to me. I sound like these are real people.
I Tivoed CSI and watched it this morning while catching up on the ironing. It looks to me like someone slipped something (maybe that date rape drug?) into Kathryn's drink, because it did show her vision getting really blurry. It could have been the guy who wanted to buy her a drink. How she ended up where she did, I don't know. As far as Sara and Grissom, I think the scene where he brought her lunch and knew what she would like (a veggie burger) was meant to show that they are more than just co-workers.

ETA: After I read your second post, I can see we're on the same page, Cindy. And I know what you mean about the whole "real people" thing. Sometimes I even have dream about TV characters!!

I definitely thought that Frank looked bad. I thought that something was going to happen to him again (heart attack???). I'm sure hoping that the baby makes it through!! But, you're probably right, that it will "pull-through" for the ratings.

I've watched since the beginning too, Julie!! I just LOVED ER. Actually, when I was laid off from AT&T a couple of years ago, and Madison was a baby, I would watch all the ER reruns on TNT.
