Who got jeans at Petsmart?

btw--Yay for jeans that are too big. You are doing quite well on your journey.

I was :rotfl2: about buying jeans at Petsmart! I also agree about the jeans being too big. That's great! Keep up the good work. Annmarie

Curt ,sorry to hear about your base being closed.Pixie dust and prayers for you too!
:cool1: Ok, caught up. Only took three hours. Luckily the phone only rang a couple of time and only one or two walkins.

My hopes go out to the Ford Families - may the coming months go smoothly. I am also in a period of transisition the Army installation I work for did NOT survive the last round of Base Realignments. I have no IDEA where I will be working in the next 24 months so I can understand the apprehension that you are feeling. Michigan is tough - we'll get through this and then move on to the next problem.
Thanks for all the kind thoughts! We hope to ride thru this!

Mary , I hope Jen's job is safe.

Mark, our town in the same way, more and more minivans roaming around. I still swear never ever, no minivan for me! (No offense MV owners, I just can't get myself there and I love having the 4 wheel drive.
I NEVER thought I'd drive a Mommymobile, but here I am the proud owner of a minivan and I love it. Of course we got it with ALL the bells and whistles, so what's not to love about it. (I tend to keep my cars for a long time so we invested in something that would grow with our needs, and yet be nice and comfy at the same time.)

Julie, I saw you posted over on the budget board with a trick for Sunshine Rewards. Who else participate in this rewards program?

I just received my first $20 in Disney Dollars. It really couldn't be easier. And, I don't enter their contests or do a lot of online shopping.

Anyone who doesn't know what it is, maybe you want to check it out. It's really very easy and it was so nice to get something for free. Here's how to get there:

Cindy - I've never done this one before but will look into it. Thanks!

I just love Ian's new pictures. He is so cute and getting big. :sunny:

No minivan here either. I really love my SUV and hope the gas prices keep going down. They were $2.14 here yesterday.
Thanks, he is growing like a weed these days.

I filled up today and was doing a Happy Dance  because I paid $2.29/gal. at Sam's Club. I remember a few years back filling up for less than a dollar - one particular intersection near my apartment - while most of the rest of the city was over a dollar. Boy, to see those days again. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for under two!

Gas around here is around $2.40 or so but I have been filling up with E85 and it should be around $.30 a gal less I can go two weeks USUALLY between fill ups in the Avalanche BUT its $65.00 or so then so every little bit helps!

Our walmart just had it at $2.13!!!!!!!!! If you use the walmart shopping card that would bring it down to $2.10! WOW!

In honor of Friday and the new cruisers joining us I think it is time for another round of GTKYKFC (or Getting To Know Your Krazy Fellow Cruisers).

1) What is your packing strategy? (do you pack a week ahead, the night before, the day you leave, etc.) I have started to get stuff ready for packing. I also have a packing list that I saved on my computer from last year. I added items to it after SSMC05 so that I wouldn't forget them this trip.

2) Do you have any pre-vacation rituals? Water the plants. Stop the mail and milk delivery. Clean the litter box. Last year everyone was talking about getting pedicures and I got one (and a manicure) for the first time ever. This is now a must before any vacation. The house will be clean before we leave too. Since we don't have trash pick up and we need to go to the dump we usually go out for dinner the night before so that we don't leave any garbage.

3) What deck are you on for this cruise and what do you like best about that location? Deck 7 Aft. After SSMC05, this location was very convenient for us.

4) What category are you in and what made that your choice? We are in a Category 7 just like last year. It has a navigator's verandah which I like because it is enclosed and has the large opening but it's more private than the full open verandahs.

5) Where are you staying the night before and why did you choose that location? We will be at BCV for one night before the cruise and we are staying in a studio although I wish I reserved a 1-BR. BCV is our home resort but it's also close to Epcot for F&W Festival. We will also be staying here for several nights after the cruise too.

I can get it for 2.11 at giant eagle and then take 90 cents off with my rewards.... Almost under a dollar.....

1) What is your packing strategy? (do you pack a week ahead, the night before, the day you leave, etc.) I haven't started yet, but I usually get out a small suitcase and start putting 'stuff' in it a couple of weeks before the trip.

2) Do you have any pre-vacation rituals? I really clean the house (I'm glad I'm not the only one worried about who will see it while I'm gone..) stop the mail and newspaper. We have to ask my Mom or BIL to watch the puppies. This time we need Mom to watch the kids too! It sounds like I need to add a new ritual - pedicure!

3) What deck are you on for this cruise and what do you like best about that location? We are on deck 5, and I have no idea what to expect!

4) What category are you in and what made that your choice? We wanted a verandah.

5) Where are you staying the night before and why did you choose that location? We will be at BWV studio for one night before the cruise. I have always wanted to stay there, I've been waitlisted in the past, but this will be our first stay there. Jellyrolls, here I come! :goodvibes

(I tend to keep my cars for a long time so we invested in something that would grow with our needs, and yet be nice and comfy at the same time.)

For a good number of years I drove a Ford Aerostar minivan for work. Now it wasn't a commercial vehicle, it was a fully optioned out minivan that they gave me to use for work, where I put an average of 60,000 a year on it. Best vehicle I've had until the current rides, our twin 99 Subaru Forester wagons. I was sorry they stopped making the Aerostars, as I've driven both Chevy and Dodge's versions and really didn't like them as much for differing reasons. And when I was pushing nearly 300K on it they insisted on replacing it. But I never thought of it as a mommy vehicle, even though that, in the past, was the most common use one was put to.

When it comes to a car, the bottom line is what's right for you, not what people may refer to the vehicle as. My ex boss was anal about this, anyone call his Tahoe anything other than Tahoe and you were going to get a chewing out. All of us thought he was nuts, he took it to a far extreme to get so offended over something that trivial.

When we got the first of the twin cars, we researched all the vehicles in the category of mini suv, then narrowed it down based on what information on options, safety and the like on each of them, then the final test was to go to the auto show and check each one out in person. The one that met all of our needs was the Forester and have been absolutely content with that choice for us, and we'll be roadtripping in it in about 5 week now. Your choices are yours and what fits best for your needs, don't let some public opinons color your judgement in that, it's your car, and you're going to be the one driving it.

Good morning everyone! Had a great time in chat last night. Pretty good turn out. Wish I could have stayed longer but I was beat!

It was a great time! Even if I didn't get to pick on Curt too much! :rotfl2:

Chat was a lot of fun last night!! I stayed until the bitter end and it was a blast. I just love talking to everyone each week!! And, in just a few (5 to be exact), we'll be getting to meet in person at the pre-cruise DIS meet.

Good Morning! :surfweb:
Sorry I missed chat last night. By the time I got home from the crop I went to I was just beat. It's been a long week and it just caught up with me.

Hey Diana! I saw you last night! :3dglasses
It was around 6:30pm and you were on 146 heading south at the traffic light at Rt 9. I imagine you must have stopped at Lowe's. I was heading to Michael's on the way to the crop. I called your cell phone but got your v.m.
