OK I think Jim Brinkman could be a possibility based on the clue. That would be awesome.

As for the graphic. Mark and I were just talking about some additions we want to make to the website (most likely over the long weekend). One is putting up some graphics you can use for door signs. Stay tuned!

Ooh if anyone can tell me how to pull the 15th anniversary art from the newsletter out and make it clean enough to use I'd love it!

So don't you just get the feeling that in the DVC Marketing office they have one person press the button to send the e-mails out and another watching the DIS with a stop watch to see how fast it will be reported? :lmao:

:rotfl2: that would be cool! I also wonder if their team is watching this thread for more ideas on things to do/gifts... LOL

I have the Jim Brickman CD and DVD - wonder if I should pack them just in case he is there to sign them!!!

We now need only 141 posts to surpass the old Member Cruise thread. :)
I don't think that will be a problem!!!:thumbsup2

I havent posted in ages.
My life has taken a dramatic turn and Ive been very busy.
The week Chick Fil A was getting ready to close for remodeling, my DH got a job offer through his company for Tampa.
We had planned on going down for a long weekend because we got an awesome DING fare from Southwest.
We ended up extending that stay to look for houses.
We tried the Lakeland/Winter Haven area as we thought it would be 1/2 between Orlando and Tampa.
We ended up finding our deam home in Haines City,
im about 24 miles from the enterance of OKW and SSR,(going I-4)
If I go the back way Im about 17 miles from MGM
We're getting this house ready to sell and that means painting everythig back to nuetral.(BORING)
We didnt expect to moce so quickly. so theres a million things to get done.
Hope everyone is well and good luck getting to the magic post #

WOW! Debbie, awesome news. Good luck with the move and DH's new job! pixiedust:

Looks like 4 minutes --- or 240 seconds! :lmao:

The email came into my box at 1:21 p.m.

I posted the 'we have mail' post at 1:25 p.m.

We ding when mail comes in and it's so tempting, I usually can't ignore what it. It's kind of like checking the caller id to see who is calling.

If I wasn't commenting about how disappointed I am with DVC and their lack of info, I'm sure I would have noticed it sooner.

Okay, DVC, your off the hook for today and the lack of info. ;)

You mean this one?

Rt click on it in the email and then save to a file on your computer. To use it in a post you can put it on photobucket and then put a link by copying the address.

Hey Gang! :wave2:

I hope that everyone is doing well. I haven't forgotten about my friends, I just haven't had it in me to keep up with all of you. Hopefully, you'll all understand, and forgive...

Dear Karen, just take one day at a time! I wake up in such pain sometimes, but you just have to "keep on carrying on!" .

YOU do just fine!

We're excited to be sailing with Jason Surrell again! He is a great Imagineer, and has sailed on other cruises. We also met him during the Happy Haunts Ball in WDW. I'm sure DVC will have copies of his POC book for purchase.

Now, my question... Who is Jim Brinkman????? I can't say that I've heard of him.

I was kinda hoping for Julie Andrews. :goodvibes

We haven't started on our door magnets yet. I have to find magnet sheets first. I didn't see any at Officemax when we where there yesterday buying Nick's school supplies so I have to look around fo some or do something else.
I found Magnet Printer paper at Michael's. I used one of my 40% off coupons on them. About the same price as last year.

DH is trying to repent today. I have been asking him all summer to powerwash the house. Well, yesterday he spent $460 on paint ball equipment:mad: So, he just went to home depot to purchase some simply green because he is going to power wash the house today! I am going to watch!;)

Heck! for $450 you could HIRE somebody to power wash the house!

Don't forget the magnetic "bumper sticker" for those of us who are driving to the port so we can find each other on the road! :drive:

You might want to put a few on the party bus too!!

Jim Brickman is a magnificant pianist who pretty recently had an album called "The Disney Songbook" which featured many classic Disney songs. Wayne Brady has performed with him several times, so I guess that's why we're hoping it's both of them.

While I'd love seeing Jim Brickman, I would probably cry like a baby if I was able to see Julie Andrews perform.

Thanks for the info! I'll probably cry whoever it is, as I have so many happy memories when I hear the old Disney tunes. They are such classics. How fitting for an anniversary celebration.

Sadly, I dont think Julie Andrews performs anymore.
