I decided to get the nile because REI online had a coupon for 10%off and they were only 19.95 no ship charge if you pick up at the store. Thats what I did. So they are mine for 17.95. I got them in light blue. Would have like red but none in that color at rei. Everywhere else online they are 29.95 except at crocs.com where they are also 19.95. What's up with that?

Cindy,

Have a GREAT time at Hilton Head! When we were there for Spring Break we went to the movies at the Mall and they have the BEST popcorn. When you order your popcorn they just hand it to you and don't ask about butter. The reason is if you go to the left of the cash register there is a popcorn condiment bar. You can add butter or different toppings like white cheddar, jalapeno, ranch, etc. etc. We would go there again just for the popcorn!:thumbsup2

Across from the resort in the shopping area there is a store that sells pirate t-shirts, etc. DH and I purchased t-shirts and I bought a banner for our door on the ship. I have worn my shirt a couple of times and have gotten a few comments! Too fun!pirate:

DH and I booked a back to back cruise Member cruise 1st room 2068 move next door to room 2070 for a 3 night cruise. Does anyone know who has this room and would be willling to trade? Never did a back to back before how difficult is to switch rooms?:sunny:

Does anyone has any experience parking at Midway? Steve, do you fly out of Midway? Tina? I hope it's simple because in the middle of the night, the last thing we need is to have a problem with parking. I guess we'd just have to leave Gary behind, as it's his car, not my van. :charac2:

We do the park and ride and Midway. Not sure of the name of the place , it was like 4 blocks away and they have a very timely shuttle. The outer parking lot for the airport itself was not that much more and it too had a very timely shuttle service. We will park if we have a real early flight out of midway or Ohare, or have my dad play driver if we have a later flight.

Happy Birthday Debbie!!

Wow!! A big storm came through here yesterday afternoon! It knocked out our phone, threw the circuit breaker on the AC, and fried our wireless router. Have to hook the laptop up directly to the cable modem now for internet, and still no land line phone. Thank goodness for cell phones. Our damage was minor in the long run though. The storm took off half the roof of a portable classroom in an elementary school about 4 miles from our house. So thankful that it's summer and no children were there!

Mary glad to hear you are ok. Lots of nasty storms hitting all over.

:thumbsup2 Those flip flops are so CUTE!!!! :thumbsup2 My neighborhood is having a Relay for Life team. We are trying to have each neighborhood in Hunter's Creek have a team. I am the Team Leader for Mar Vista. We are called the Mar Vista Marchers. I am going to steal your great idea to sell those flip flops at our Fall Festival......you know we wear Flip flops all year down here! I haven't seen them around. Did you get the pattern at Michael"s craft store? Connie
Connie, sorry I am just getting back to the thread. No pattern. Just pick your ribbon/fleece or whatever and tie strips on.

Thanks, Tiger Lily, I looked at Michael's online site, and they have the instructions there, too, plus LOTS of other fun ideas for crafts we can sell at our Fall Festival in October. Since I am the chairperson for the Festival, I am going to let all the Relay for Life teams have tables to sell their items for free! I hope we have lots of good crafts, I love to buy crafty stuff!

on the subject of CROCS: I went to our Bloomingdales' store today, and I didn't see a SINGLE pair of any type! I wanted to try on the new types I saw here online. I am afraid to order them online!

And I hope everyone in the Midwest is ok after those terrible storms that went through, I understand a lot of St. Louis area is still out of electricity this weekend!

It's just hot and humid (as per usual) here in Orlando! Although it looks like we won't get a rain today...I'd like to go to Seaworld and see the new fireworks there.

Bye bye

I agree but you know we have half of the DISers we had last time. On the 2005 cruise we had 74 families and made 205 buttons. So are there less DISers going or just less posting. :confused3

I'll bet there's just fewer DIS'ers going.....because I know EVERYONE loved their buttons, the photos of all the other families, all the fun get togethers and parties. Maybe some are waiting until closer to the date to sail! :Pinkbounc pirate: WE can't wait!

Hi everyone! That report on the mini meet was great. But I don't understand why everyone wasn't invited. We live right here in Orlando and we didn't hear anything about it. When you all were discussing it on the DIS I thought it was a private party for some of you while on vacation here in Florida. Am I missing out on something? I HATE to miss out on anything! ;)

Connie,

No slight intended :sad2: !!

Karen wants me to explain that this did not start out as a meet (mini or otherwise). Ann Marie (bvcprincesses - another Michigander) PMd Karen and suggested we get together in the World as we would all be there at the same time. Jeff(Copper3) came along on my PM invite as he and I hung out last May prior to Karen getting to the world. Cheryl and Todd saw my excited utterance in Post #11431 and came out to join the fun. So what was supposed to be a quiet 'Gander gathering morphed into a mini meet. Please accept my apologies if you felt slighted in any way. Karen and I look forward to meeting all disSers when we all come together for the member cruise in October (besides - we're really boring in person ::yes:: - Just ask Jeff)

See all soon

DD had another taekwondo graduation this afternoon. WOW! She did great and broke her boards on the first try!!!! She has had a hard time consistently breaking her boards so we were holding our breath. She is a red belt recommended!!! Only three more belt ranks to get her 1st degree black belt. DD has decided to take the next couple of months off. She is burnt out and needs a break. So, we don't start back until the second week of September!! YEAH! I think I need a break from driving her!:drive:

Well gang this will be my last post for a week.
Finishing the last of the packing and we'll be off to Boy Scout Camp tomorrow.

If at all possible could you keep it under 50 pages while I'm gone this week! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Catch ya all at the end of the month! :wave2:

Well, according to Mary's website, it doesn't look like a DISer has room 2070.
