I'm glad that someone else could get a great deal. I really like being on the plane and having the lowest fare. I always wonder how much other people paid.

I really hate those athens crocs with the different colors. I am holding out for the ones on their website.

Happy Saturday!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Big plans tonight for our family. Gary & Walker built a huge boat out of cardboard and duct tape for an Adventure Guides boat regatta tonight. They are "sailing" it tonight across the pool at the YMCA. Their group did a really neat job -- their boat is designed as a black shark -- teeth and all! I'm anxious to see if it floats at all. It should be fun. :cool1:

That should be lots of fun!!
Hope you take some pictures!

So it looks like there are a couple of places online that are selling them, but they look different than on the crocs website. Like, the lime green ones have a fuschia footbed in them. :crazy2: Not sure if I like that.

I don't like that color combo either. I do like the ones on there site alot better. I don't have any crocs yet but after listening to all you guys and seeing the cute selection I think I will need to get a pair or two. Maybe even in Dis Lime Green!

Hey guys you can all help me out. You can be a focus group for me. I just updated the links page that was on the main cruise forum into a new FAQ. Let me know what you think.

I agree with the rest of you - the color combo ones are not that attractive. I do like the Athens that are on their site. Can't wait to get mine ordered.

FAQ Looks good Mary

AND

I like the Athens II color combos. I think you ladies should ALL wear watermelon looking shoes :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Your a pisser! :rotfl2: :rotfl:
I didn't even notice they looked like watermellons!

First to catch up.

Those shoes are hidious. I hope no one is buying the "watermelon" version because I won't be joining any of you. My feet are no where near "shrek" size, but you won't find those things on them. Thank you very much. I do like the croc version though. :cool1: I wear my crocs now all the time with socks. I couldn't during the summer because for whatever reason my feet were sweaty, but now, with winter and socks, I'm good to go. I really should look at getting a version that doesn't have the holes in the sides as when it's wet or just a little snowy, they aren't the best option. :guilty:

Mary, I'll take a look at the FAQ....I'm sure they are fine.

I just got back from the boat regatta. I'll try a couple of pictures but I just joined photobucket tonight so I'm not sure this will work. Julie, I used dotphoto in the past (but it's down yet again :headache: ) so let's see if these work for you (and everyone else, of course! ).

This is what their boat looked like before the race. Made out of only cardboard and duct tape. :cool1:

The kids under 2nd grade went first:

Then the bigger kids -- I'm not sure this was actually fair as Cameron isn't really an Adventure Guide anymore.:

And the Dad's: :crazy2: They quickly sunk the boat and needed to carry it back to the other side.

The entire group: :scared: :scared: :crazy2: :worried:

And, what's was left at the end of the race :charac2:

The kids and Dad's had a blast.

And, now the house is quiet and I'm heading off to watch a movie without any interuptions. :cool2:

Cindy that looks like alot of fun! ::yes:: Tell the guys they did a great job! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Loved the theme of the boat too. Just keep it away from Diana! :rotfl2:

OMG Cindy that looks like they had an awesome time!!
That is just so cool. I loved the boat!

Cindy they did a great job on the boat - it looked really cool. I guess I was expecting something the size of a cereal box - boy was I surprised to see how big it was. Pretty neat! Glad they all had a good time!

Cindy - looks like a lot of fun was had by all. I'm with Gail - I thought you were talking a little boat they had to get across the water by blowing on a sail or something. What fun that they had to race in it.

Good morning Member Cruisers
- we sail in 40 weeks!

Looks like the boat race was fun.

I am real disappointed no one wants the watermelon shoes. I thought it could be like a group thing. You know like the fish extenders or decorating the doors :(
John,Dale and I would have been THRILLED to be judges at a Watermelon shoe decorating contest. How proud we would have been to be charged with picking the winner of the HIGHLY PRIZED Watermelon Shoe Trophy. Sadly it will never come to pass
I guess that means we will be forced to sit in the adult pool and drink rum and cokes all day.................DARN

Ahhh, the sacrafices we make. Life is rough, isn't it? :rotfl:

The boat race was really cool. This was my first time attending one of the Adventure Guides events as Mom's are taboo when it comes to the events. But, I wasn't the only Mom curious enough to see what would happen with these boats....there were several Mom's & Sister's there as well.

One of the boats didn't even make it across the pool for the first race before starting to sink. I felt bad for the boys. :( But those Dad's courageously held their boat together enough to have their boys finish out the remaining races. :cool1:

I'll point Gary here so he can maybe offer more details as to just how they built "Bruce".

You know Steve that crocs come in all sizes. I suggest you, Dale and John each buy a pair of the watermelon shoes and let the woman judge the contest! :cheer2:

40 weeks - I can't wait!!! :cheer2:

The flip flops don't do much for me - I'll stick with my "blinkies" since I find them to be easy on my feet.

Cindy - the boat race looks like it was a lot of fun!!!

Those are some great airfares for the cruise - but I usually drive - what's a person to do - I'll probably just stick with my plan so I can visit friends and family along the way!

Mary - we're driving down as well. After all we need the extra space to bring all gifts back :)
