You mean you won't be out buying pins? Or are you sure you aren't getting in extra rehearsal time for Gloria's appearance on the ship?

We are Carolyn and Alex, we just got back from the 10-Day Holiday Cruise where we spoke with many people about the DIS Boards, we didn't know they exsisted. I think we talked to more people on the 10-day cruise than our other 18 Disney Cruises. Our kids think we are Disney freaks. We are not the most savey computer people, but we have signed up to try the disboards. Having done the maiden voyage for both ships, the first eastern and western cruises, and the first 10 day cruise; we are booked on the first Panama Canal Cruise and staying onboard for the first West Coast Cruise. We live in Lake Mary, just north of Orlando. We will try to keep up with things. Anyone else crazy enough to be onboard for 21 days?

For the open water dives we go to a place just out side of Park City Utah called Homestaed Crater, It is a warm spring at about 96 degrees warm. Other dives this time of year it's dry suit and cut a hole in the ice. Heck I use the dry suit here even in the summer. Class pool sessions are at out local rec center. waiting for Lynn to get home, I might tell her about the wine and cheese meet.

The Homestead is great! The temperature I prefer when I get in water! Of course, it is only a 45 minute drive for us to get there!

Robert scubas, he just needs to get a replacement PADI card. The application has been sitting on the counter for 3 months. Maybe this will get him going! I'll talk to him.

Linda
Hey Linda! I will add Robert to our list of "interested parties" for SCUBA at CC. If DCL decides to offer it, I will contact everyone to let them know, so he can decide then if he wants to go. But he should really get going on replacing his card now if he thinks he wants to dive on this trip. I'm not sure how long it takes to get the replacement cards, but I would think time is getting short for that kind of stuff.

Linda, I wish Homestead was only 45 min away, rather than 5 hours but such is life.

PADI is very good about replacement cards, should only take between 7-10 days, if Robert needs any additional help in getting the replacement i.e. forms etc let me know. If he need his card number, I can get his c-card number if you provide me his birthday and full name as it appeared on the card.

Ha ha... I will get the pin buying done early that day.... although I might have to skip dinner AND last minute packing to go trading at the Contemporary!
Also... I believe Gloria has gone into retirement and will not be making any more shipboard appearances...... esp now that she knows the secret of the glo necklace!!! :cool1:

IS IT 5:00 SOMEWHERE, YET!!!!!!!!!
It has really been a fascinating, fun, rewarding, very busy week at work but the aforementioned says it all.

Jen and Kara, we could start a SHA group, (Sugar High Anonymous).
Scott, I totally sympathize! Your work life sounds EXACTLY like mine was for the months preceeding the 10-day cruise. Thankfully, things have slowed a tiny bit here

For our first meeting of the Sugar High Anonymous Group, I would like to welcome our newest member, Leslie! I will begin today's meeting with a confession - I must go to Scoops every afternoon on the ship :mickeybar

Hey Kara, how's the weather up North (Northern California that is). It's raining cats and dogs down here. :umbrella:

Funny that you should ask...I'm just getting ready to :boat: home now. We are forcasted to get about another 2-3 inches over the next 24 hours. Probably means draining the pool for the second time in a week... :earseek:

Stay safe everyone, and have a great weekend.

HELP I AM STILL AT WORK!!!!!! One more phone call and I might get to go home.

Hey you folks in California, remember your rain becomes our snow. Starting to snow now and is expected to really hit us hard.

No in southern California their rain is their snow. Have you seen them drive in the rain?? Oh my! ;) And I thought DC folks drove bad in the snow...

It's now that "them" (we) can't drive in the rain or that we don't know how to drive in the rain - it's just that "them" (we) don't change the way we drive no matter what the conditions are. :umbrella: :moped:

Ken

DC folks drive in the snow? Don't we cancel everything as soon as a flake appears?

(This year I'm still waiting to hear "The federal government is closed")

Hi all! After much thinking and going back and forth, I finally decided that you only live once, so I just booked two nights at the Disneyland Hotel after the cruise! Boy am I excited now!! :cheer2:

There goes my reincarnation theory about wanting to have a second life as a duck at OKW.

Being a duck in a pond definately would be relaxing!

Hi everyone! Keith and I are back from our whirlwind trip to NYC and I'm caught up on 12 pages of DISboards!! We left Cheyenne after work on NYE, and spent midnight at the airport in Denver. Arrived in NYC at 630a New Year's Day!

We actually went for a friend's surprise Bday party, and was it a surprise!! Priceless!! Catherine, it was Arlene's Bday on the 1st and Marisa did an AWEsome job on the party!

I had scoped out airfare vs hotel prices and decided the 1st and the 4th were the best travel days, and we also used some of Keith's Holiday Inn points for the hotel, so that part was free. The hotel was 2 blocks south of Central Park, down the street from Carnegie Hall and the Hard Rock Cafe. The location was awesome, even if the quality wasn't superb. We enjoyed what we saw, but NYC is a rat race compared to Wyoming!! Surprise, huh?

Anyway, just a weekend trip to Scott's country in Feb and then nothing til the cruise for us! We arrive in FL the evening of the 12th, staying at the GF so we have easy access to the monorail for Keith's Mom.

In CA, we'll be heading to Redlands right after the cruise to see Keith's uncle. I've never met them and their health isn't the best, so being that close is a great opportunity.

Not sure how much partying we'll be doing, but I know we'll be around! Maybe I could take pics for drunken twister!! Guess I'll need to save up for the internet access. Our first cruise, I did the "per minute" option and was within $2 of the unlimited price, and really didn't use it much. Add to that its much slower than my connection at home!

Keith got his passport photo done while he was on vacation in Dec. Guess I'll have to brave it alone this week.

Glad to hear Jindy is around, even if she's not around here! Anyway, that's our update. Kelli and Keith
