There is no way in H E double hockey sticks that we are cancelling!!!!!!!!! We are also in "SAVE" mode. We have a coin jar, Disney Visa reward $, DH's sales bonus $, plus I take $25 out per week and stick it in out "vacation" account. That is just for spending and tips. I have about half the cruise fare paid for (including air, transfers, extra night at the Hyatt and insurance)

We are giving up going to the NASCAR race next year in Vegas. So our vacations will consist of camping, day trips to the beach and weekends at my folk's house in the mountains. But it is SOOOOOOOOOO Worth it

I think a lot of people will cancel at the 60 day mark. That just makes me hope for a visit from the "upgrade fairy" or if I can save enough extra maybe purchase an upgrade at the port.

Leslie, hubby Jeff use to run the NOLA web site, actually just all the cameras, he's responsible for brining kareoke to the internet from Cat's Meow....

We haven't saved up that much yet. We have a cruise in 40 some off days first. After that I'll be working crazy overtime to pay it off, plus pay off my spa habit...

When we went through canal in May 2003, weather was about 88-90, cloudy, kinda drizzled on and off all day, but was pleasant and was more of a mist than anything else.

No umbrellas needed, didn't even wear our Mickey ponchos!!!!!

Anyway, someone asked a few pages back if you can still get an upgrade if you have a room assignment? Well, this last cruise we took in February 2004, I had booked 18 months out, and had picked my room (the same one from the previous 2 cruises) My documents came with my room number I requested and then I got the email 6 days before we were to leave. What had happened is another DIS'ers friend had to cancel, and Disney assigned me to that room. So, I think that they gave my room to someone on a wait list? I was quite pleased! I'm of course hoping for this to happen again, or at least to get me back up on deck 7. I have never been on deck 5 before. I am on a waitlist for this.

I have to admit I have nothing saved yet. Since the begining of this year we have taken the Disney cruise, flew to North Carolina, flew to Florida (college trips) 3 times, and flew to California. Not to mention the out of state rates that I am paying to the University! I am counting on my annual company Christmas bonus this year to pay for my cruise. If for some reason this does not happen ( has been paid annually for 25 + years now) I will still go on the cruise no matter what!

Jeez you all have talked a bunch since I left work!

I see "NBC" all the time on boxes and shipment lists at the store so it's "normal" to me.

I expect to have enough $$$ by March. I'm sure I could have it before then but I know how I spend money (like water) so I'm being realistic. We are definitely not canceling...and I hope I budgeted enough $$$...I included flights, ground transportation, tickets, post-cruise meals, and cruise excursions, and tips. For the five of us that totals about $4000 per person. YOWZA!

It will be fun though...can't wait!

My ressie is still through DCL, I was wondering if I should switch to DU or somebody to take advantage of their rebates, etc.

What do you think?

I was going to switch to DU, but what they are offering me is so little I figured I'd stay with DCL since I'm a first-timer. This is what they offer:


Cost of Disney Cruise Rebate**
$1000 - $1999 $50
$2000 - $2999 $75
$3000 - $3999 $100
$4000 - $4999 $150
$5000 + $200

I've never used DU before and the 2nd email I sent them went unanswered. So I'd rather not have the $100 and stick with DCL for peace of mind.

Robin, I think it was me who asked. I have an assigned number (cat. 11), and am not on a wait list for anything better. So does that mean, I have a *chance* (tiny as it may be) to also be upgraded??

We wouldn't let you cancel!!! None of us are allowed to cancel!!

Gosh, I missed your IM again! I wasn't on a wait list the time I got the upgrade. So yes, you do have a chance. The lower categories book first, and they are usually the ones that are waitlisted. So.....if someone cancels in a higher catagory, and someone is waiting for a lower, you might just be the lucky one!

Don't worry, I would be the LAST to cancel. Nope, never will happen.

I'm just hoping I can still go. I booked a cat 11 (yours now) and a cat 9 on the first day and nearly in the first hour but my wife is feeling guilty about the overall cost.

My cat 9 is $4k and considering I typically spend around 2500 for the 2 of us in the offseason in a cat 9 for 7 day cruises, I think $4k is a great deal. She doesn't see it that way.

But she's the Disney nut - not me - so I think she'll come around. I'm not letting that reservation go until I absolutely have to. For me, it'll be 14 days of disconnected (from work) bliss.

Funny thing is I got 4 tickets....


Then I Asked My Mom, what she wanted for Xmas She Said Loin King tixs.. This was after they had already gone on sale to the General public Sold out most Dates.. so she gave me a couple
of Dates So Off to the online ticket Brokers Pages we go....

I find the Tixs for the date and Not a t a bad price More than Face Value But i knew that... I get her the 2 tixs ...

Thank you. Everytime someone mentions that picture, Lee says something along the lines of-"see, I do take good pictures". But I think that picture kind of says it all about Castaway Cay.

Well We went to Loin King last night....

Not totally Impressed.....

All i Could think about was Seeing Shows on the ship

and feeling Quality was much better When they do Circle of Life on the Ship it Moved me it Did not in the Broadway Show..


Was waiting for that one big Number to happen Did not

even at AK Festival of the Loin king show Felt Quality was Better ...

once aGain Spoiled By Disney At Disney and Not with there Broadway show .. felt B&B was a better Production


Dont get me Wrong was a Good production for what it was But ..

felt it Could Have Been Better....


just Didnot leave The Show totally Going Wow Like other
shows Disney Has Produced...

Some good Parts , He lives in You .... The Stampede.....


And We Did Buy the Music Cd... Listening now...
