Is anyone doing anything fun for Labor Day?

We're going on our annual camping trip. We're not going to rough it as much this year and are renting a cabin near Burney Falls, CA. It should be 92-93 degrees each day so it should be toasty for swimming. We will tent camp again next year.

So what is everyone else doing?

We're hoping to view some fireworks this weekend! On Sunday we'll be in Pennsylvania at Longwood Gardens. They have a great fireworks show coordinated with music as well as fountains.

Georgie, Longwood Gardens is near where I used to live in PA, I have been there many times.

Me might get out camping after our Scuba class on Saturday, Scott has Monday off, and I do not go into work on Monday until 5pm, that would give us Sunday and most of Monday to enjoy a campground.

I have been thinking how sad it is that not everybody from the old cruise will not be on the new cruise....stinks!

Hi everybody,

We'll be seeing those of you going to Scott's party before you sail, but alas, we will be staying home this time too. Just too much going on around here! Grandbaby is starting to make little kicks, new wedding plans to make, Christmas coming, etc. Also, a new hobby (read:addiction) to play around with.... aka beading jewelry! Anyone else out there do this? I just bought a few beads in Alaska to go on a scrapbook page and.... a full blown, ye haw, happy shopper addiction was born! At least I have a bunch of Christmas gifts made already, lol.... I'd love to know if anyone else in our group does beading, with all the fun outfits you wear, there must be some of you out there! At the risk of sounding stupid, did you know that there are gorgeous LIME GREEN beads out there? Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.....

BTW, can you give us a link to the live thread while we're at the party? I want to virtually accompany you and see pix!

Renae, I do beaded earrings with seed beads, I have hundreds of dollars in beads, I have not been doing it for awhile, but hope to pick it up again when I get to "retire". It is something that I enjoy doing.

Me too!!! A work friend began beaded jewelry, and asked if I wanted to accompany her to a bead show . You can only gue$$ what happened I bought every type of bead there

I made several sets of earrings and necklaces and bracelets right away.

NOW, everything sits untouched! Hopefully someday, when I have more time, I can do this again! It was really fun to do.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only addict around here... I'm sure having fun with them!!!! I've been thinking about what I can make to wear to the wedding... and make for the bride, and my other girls, and...and...and... I'm going to have to stay out of the bead shows though, until I get some cash that doesn't go to paper and stickers... he he he!

Renae....we looked in Studio Sea, but there is no EMHE picture on the WONDER....

Will provide a trip report in a week or so's time...need to adapt back to reality......
