Ashley,
They are ready any time!!!

We have serious reservations about the prices for the Med cruises too. We didn't think they'd be that much, and they don't go some of the places we really wanted to go, so we're having second thoughts also. Right now, we're trying to get things together for our trips to Utah and Alaska, so next summer isn't really on our minds. We're concerned enough that we won't book on Tuesday, that much we do know... It's too bad that they priced it so high. The Panama repo cruise wasn't that expensive, and the other good cruise lines are a lot less expensive for better ports. oh well.... we may be living through the 'puter too...

Linda,

That store sounds great! Is it like an outlet? Which mall is it in? Wherever it is, I'll have to restrain myself after my binge on scrap supplies at the EXPO yesterday...LOL! I thought I'd have money left over to take to Salt Lake for some more serious scrapbook shopping.... NOT! They had so much that was deeply discounted, I came home loaded up with goodies and 43cents in my purse!

Yeah, Linda, I"ll be there the first week of May, actually the 1st-7th,for DS Dave's graduation from the UofU. We're really excited to see this happen. He feels like he's been in school his whole life, but now he gets a year off to work, then back to get his masters in robotics.

Linda,
Is Baker's cash and carry still off 13th south? I need to get a couple of things there that I can't find here... And there used to be a place on 33rd south and about 20 something east that carried a bunch of great ribbons and laces. I'm not talking about the Lace Place, I know it closed, but I've heard that something moved in and has all the ribbons, but not all the laces. If you can tell me what it's called, I can probably find it. Thanks Heaven for roads that go in straight lines!!!

Scott,

Just think of the range of motion as a swimming stroke, sit in a cool bathtub, and have a movie on of your underwater adventures... that should be easier than just sitting there counting rotations.... Really, good luck! You'll be back diving and driving Lynn crazy in no time!

Hey, I resemble that remark :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Just wondering how many people booked their DCL repo cruise today or first Med? I am wearing my DCL shirt in honor of you all today- and I wore my repo shirt while I worked out today. It's cold, windy, and rainy today!

Georgie- thanks for your comments regarding my job, I honestly feel that nursing was what I was meant to do in life. I really like working in the intensive care units and my second job as the sexual assault nurse examiner- both jobs are a blessing and a curse at the same time, but I woudn't trade them for anything. You could still book the Sept cruise if you decided that the Med was too expensive- we'd love to have you!

Kelly- yes, the on in SLC is decorated similar as the one in Denver. I think most of them across the nation are- but the one in SLC is in an old trolley building that was converted to a mall, Trolley Square- pretty cool mall.

All scrapbookers- I know that they ALWAYS have a CKU in Utah, if all else fails we could go there. If we did go to the Orlando one, we should do DCL- as I'm sure there would be many people doing Disney.

I've been there!! We went there to get taffy during the Olympics. I remember a Rodizio Grill, but not OSF....bummer!

It really was a great building!

Which mall Linda? I am going to be there the first weekend of June, will it still be open?

Thanks!
Celeste

STEVE- super cute!

They are at Fashion Place Mall in Murray. 6000 South State. So 6 miles south of Temple Square downtown SL. Real easy to get to right off the freeway. Don't know if they will be there in June, but I'll check on my next visit.

They had a great selection. I didn't have a hard time spending money, and I could have spent a tons more.

WOW you guys have been chatty!

No Repo or Med cruise for us either. Too much planning and $$$$$ for the wedding on top of DCL's prices! Next weekend we are going down to the Keys to visit the place where they want to get married. I suppose a deposit will have to be made :scared1: I have tried my best to get them to switch to a beach at Disney... but no luck. Guess I'll have to do my own vow renewal there or something if I want a Disney Wedding!!

Maybe now I can catch up on my scrapbooking.... You Go Lynn! I'm glad someone else is still working on the PC Cruise..... I'm not even up to Canal day yet....:faint:

Baker's still there. Address is 367 West Paxton at 1170 South) Open Monday-Friday 9-6 and Sat. 9-1. Phone 487-3300

There is a Lace store that used to be on 33rd that now moved to Highland Drive. they are at 2682 S Highland (so 1700 East and 2700 South) called Sheri's Lace Place. She said she has lots of ribbons. Open Monday-Thur 10-6, Friday 10-5 and Sat. 10-4. Number is 474-2697. She used to be at 2261 E 3300 South, so I'm thinking that's the one you are looking for.

Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square-yes, they have antiques. We don't go there often, but it is pretty good.

Waiting to book for the Med. tomorrow!

Linda
