Estimates are that by 4:00 a.m., there were over 10,000 people in the queue in Disney's California Adventure park to get into Disneyland. By 6:00, the line grew to an estimated 18,000 to 20,000.

The crowds have been very well-behaved, and Disney has been very well-organized so far, making for a very smooth morning.

When guests arrived into DCA, they were immediately given their special July 17 golden mouse ears, accompanied by a special July 17 park guide. Just as important, people received color-coded wristbands that gave an indication of the time frame in which they arrived."

Did anyone see any news coverage of the Disneyland celebration? I've seen nothing so far. I had a few friends who went out on one of the packages for today so I'm hoping to hear all the stories when they get home. Can't imagine the crowds.. it must be wall to wall bodies out there.​

Checkout Tony & Adrienne's site Mouseplanet.com...they have lots of stuff about the birthday....the picture of the crowds was incredible...they posted that the park was at 50% capacity at 10 am!!!!!!

Kelli, got a steroid shot, can’t remember what, Flonase and Claritin over the counter, he also recommended Naphcon A drops for the eyes, but they have not been much of a problem. Allergies seem to be extreamly bad here thisw year.

Ken, sounds like ya had a good ride, my problem in the hills is I never really learned to down shift, just gutted it out in the high gears, that was when I was young.

Naphcon drops are good! I use them once in a while, not often. They just make my eyes not so itchy and dry. Ceiling fans going nonstop don't help dry, itchy eyes....looks like we're gonna top out at 75º today...first time in 10 days its not been above 90º......the pollen is going down, but the dust is coming up.

Even the black hole of Cheyenne, Wyoming got theirs......only 1/7 of the postcards, but we got shirts, etc!

Maybe they are making "special" ones for the two of you "special" guys!!!

Peter...we got our shirts that we ordered from DCL about a month after the cruise - they came the same day as our pins.....we also got another really cool t-shirt from two very special people!!!!!!!!

I wonder if Linda (seaulater) got her t-shirt she won????

You know , it amazes me just how much I miss you guys.
Robin, You are right. Previously, my bananas did not always dance.
Being the manly man that I am, that is very frustrating. Hopefully, they will dance this year. Hi Leslie, Peter, Kelli, Georgie. Wow, it is old times day again. This really feels good. We have got to get a reunion cruise.
The party on the magic was for the "Make a Wish Foundation". It was on Saturday. Previously, the CM's wouldn't tell me anything about the reason the Magic was being delayed. Now they will. They also said they don't know when the new schedule will be available. It has me concerned. Before, they let us know when the day would be. It allowed me to call in exactly on time to get the Panama Canal cruise. Just had to wait an hour and a half on hold. But I got it!!!! You guys have got to tell me if you find out something, OKAY????? I'll reciprocate. You guys are important to me.

Eric's reading Harry Potter, don't know if he'll come up for air anytime soon, our DS Nick bought it the other night along with most of the rest of the world, and they are going to tag-team it, I think... gotta get a pic of that!

Don't you just hate it when you get so into a book that simple things like your dog coming into the room can almost give you a heart attack!!!!!!!!
