I remember the brother bear song, on my way, being played sometime that morning in LA...
I also remember them playing a version of On My Way by Melissa Ethridge? I have never heard that before- where is it from?

OK I will try,

Hum, Hum, Hum, Hum Hum Hum Hum Hum Hum HUMMMM, Hum Hum HUm
when you wish u- pon a star makes no difference who you are

Hey Scott! I think I've got it! Let's see...

The first part: Hum, Hum, Hum, Hum Hum Hum Hum
When you wish up-on a star

The second part: Hum Hum HUMMMM, Hum Hum HUm
Makes no difference (that's the HUMMMM one) who you are

There... "When You Wish Upon a Star! Was that it? Was it? Huh? :rotfl2:

(pretty good try though!)

We'll be staying at Poly for the first time Oct 29 - Nov 6. Have tix for the MK Halloween party on Halloween and reservations for V&A Chef's Table (heaven :cloud9: ).

We've also got tix for Spamalot, July 22, day after my birthday.

Was it:

(Sung somewhat to the tune of "When You Wish Upon A Star", work with me here):

Get the heck off of the ship
This was much too long a trip
No food is left, the booze is gone
It seems like a month since you got on

Go wait an hour to get your bus
We're doing our best, don't make a fuss
Please don't cry or be bereft
Go to DL and give Mickey any money you have left

Please get off, please just go away
Other people want your room,
Go sell your stuff on Ebay

We hope you return again
Bring along all your DIS friends
We should recover in a year or two
Just please don't bring those annoying blinkie shoes......

Very, very funny!
Poor Scott...he'll never find out the name
I was trying to record the horn on my cell phone....never did get it

OMG Regina I LOVE it.....:rotfl: :rotfl: at this rate my butt will never heal.:rotfl2:

I was thinking that the crew probably were really glad to get rid of us. I'm sure the next group of DIS'ers paled in comparison.

My BFFT's are still going strong. :cool1: It will be so sad when the batteries finally go.
Scott: Forgot to mention that I loved the pic of Lynn and the pup...beautiful dog!! I'll bet I could get one of ours to do that... Woody is as strong as an ox. By the way...Put me on the list for a malamute fur scarf.....:rotfl:That should keep you busy when winter comes.....uh.. in August right? I can wear it on those 3 cold days we have in January.

For all of you that will be coming down for the Member cruise in September....anybody coming in early for the weekend??

Hey Elaine,
What dates did you rebook that are back to back?
Thanks for the information!

I didn't rebook back to back....I called DCL originally to book back to back cruises in May 2006 and the CM sorta talked me into doing the 14 day Panama Canal. I had already asked all my questions about doing the back to back when she suggested the Panama cruise and I said it would be great but it's sold out and she said she had just had a cancellation and it was the category we liked so I booked the Panama instead of back to back in May 2006.

Sorry for the confusion.

We are re-booked for the 10-day Holiday cruise Dec 16 - 26, 2006.

Hello All,
Today is a great day! I got my grades in from the class that I did over the cruise (and the paper I finished last week)- I got perfect marks!

:cheer2: :cheer2:   :cheer2: :cheer2:

Also...Noah lost his first tooth last night....with a little help from dental floss and ambisol. Laurie will laugh over this- because she witnessed me attempting to wrench it from his mouth over dinner one night on the cruise. :rolleyes1 The tooth was hanging on by one thread of skin...and Noah has no pain tolerance- so we numbed it and it came out in one second AND HE WAS THRILLED! He requested that the tooth fairy bring him- 6 quarters, 10 dimes, 4 nickels, and 1 penny and she did! :earboy2:

I have FINALLY finished unpacking- now let the cleaning begin!

Hope you all have a great day!
Celeste

Congratulations Celeste & Noah!!!!!!

Thank you all so much for the lanyards, name cards, surprise gifts left at our door and everything that helped make our 14 day cruise as wonderful as it was. When there was a name on the gifts I wrote thank you notes and delivered them to the staterooms. Sometimes there wasn't any names on gifts and I couldn't write a thank you note. We do want you to know we really appreciated all the hard work everyone did. Our door was so much fun to come back to and see it decorated. It was neat that someone went to a lot of work to make Dale's birthday special with a birthday door greeting on his birthday.

We met a few people from the group but mostly kept to ourselves taking video and pictures and enjoying our 5th Disney Cruise.

Some of our pictures are on the Kodak site if anyone is interested in seeing them.

We have enjoyed the forum so much and felt like we knew some of the people from the forum when we would see them wearing their lanyards.

The magnet for the door was just perfect and we really apppreciated it. The fish extender was great and I am using it in our office to remember how great it was to come to our stateroom and seeing it hanging there. All gifts were wonderful surprises.

Thank You Again,

Shirley & Dale Wyckoff (dalemm) dwyckoff2b@charter.net

That is so sad about the boy. I heard about it at work today and was given the article to read. I don't think I would have allowed my 4 year old to ride that ride. I had heard conflicting reports about Misson Space from people that rode it (some loved it but most hated it) and I decided it was not the kind of ride for me. I have also heard that that while this is the first death on the ride, there have been many people taken to the hospital as a result of riding the ride.

I have gone on the ride and it is intense- makes me feel like someone has a hand mixer in my brain. Noah, who is 6, went on it and loved it. However, I would not let a four year old go. While the ride would be safe- like not falling out- it is physically demanding. The little boy probably had a medical condition that they weren't aware of- it happened to my good friends son- weak vessel in the brain- and he died after playing football.

Who knows why these things happen. Maybe the family will find out they have higher risks for other problems and others will be saved...

I agree about the medical condition. A hand mixer in your brain....I'm so glad I didn't go on it. I'm so sorry about your friends son.

OK Guys I am going nuts trying to remember the name of a song. The song was played over the PA system on 5/28 as we arrived in LA. It was the first song played. Anyone recall what it was. I know the melody but can put a name to the song.

Scott...Sorry I can't help you out....I didn't even know that DCL played music over the PA when we arrived in LA. :)

Elaine

P.S. How many Malamutes do you have? One of the ladies I work with has a Malamute puppy.
