All the bags are packed... and zipped!! Just a few last minute things as we leave on Thursday morning

We did have to send 2 additional boxes this morning :earseek: ..... filled with.......

FISH EXTENDERS!!!

Yes.. we went out and got one per stateroom :cheer2: :smooth: I will have some with me before we get to the ship and will hand them out and will also hand them out at the terminal! I did not have time to mark the stateroom numbers on them, so I will be checking them off a list as I give them out. Anyone I miss will get them delivered to their room or at sailaway :)

I will say..... Cabbage Patch rules apply. And you ask, what the heck are Cabbage Patch rules??????? Who here remembers when Cabbage Patch kids came out and the frenzy was attached to it all that Christmas season. Well Mom worked at Zayres (now who remembers Zayre's!) and there was this angry mob in line for the dolls (good training for later pin lines :rotfl: ). The rules were this..... you get whatever doll she had in her hands and if you wanted to trade them, you can do so in the parking lot :earboy2:

So I hope you all enjoy the Fish Extenders (or as Brisully called them Fishtensions :flower: )!

Debbie

Debbie

That is great thanks so much.

With everything that is being handed out in line I put a mesh draw string bag on the outside of one of the carry-ons, got it on the pin trading cruise last year. Folds flat and will hold all the goodies we are picking up in line. The time in line will really fly with so much to collect. That way none of it gets lost.

Just can't wait.

Tom and Diana

Hey guys,

We're mostly done with last minute shopping, sort of....lol. I just had to report my best deal of the day. We scored a Kenneth Cole hanging garment bag for half price! It made me so happy, all that organizing power in one bag, and it's on big in-line skate wheels too! Got a few other things too, but that was the big score of the night.

Now I'm going to measure Eric for his tux, then hit the hay...

We'll talk tomorrow...

Debbie you are wonderful!!

Kim, hope it all works out. I can send Bill out to help you (he's not going on vacation in a couple days :rotfl2: )

Tom and Diana,

Great Idea about the mesh bag. I use one to get through airport security. Put all my stuff in it, i.e. belt, wallet keys etc. then can move out of the way to get dressed after getting through security.

The Question Is .. When did the United states hand over control of the Canal to Panama ?

Peter

Is it 2000??? Or were you looking for a specific date?

Elaine

Oh the canal transition ceremony took place on 12/15/99, with Jimmy Carter leading the US delegation, President Clinton and Madeline Albright were not anywhere near the event. The official transition too place on 12/31/99.

Man, I tried so hard....almost had it (one day out)....gee Scott...I couldn't find the information in your Cliff Notes!!!!

Maybe I'll get tomorrow's question.

Elaine

Cut off for magnets will be 5pm tomorrow (Tuesday, EST). After that Jeff will make magnets for anyone left who did not send in their info. Also, the list will be updated one last time.
If you don't see an asterisk next to your name it's because you haven't sent your info/ got lost in the dryer with the lone sock. (think about it). Please resend info to monorailpilot@gmail.com DO NOT send me magnet info, I have nothing to do with them except to post.
Day has gotten better our pirate costumes are ALMOST done, they look AMAZING!
Thanks for the fishtensions!

We're almost outta here!

We still have one day of work left tomorrow and then we leave right from there to start driving to our friends' house near Oakland airport where we will spend the night for our flight Wednesday early morning.

I am pretty bummed that my pirate costume STILL hasn't arrived. I was told 1-2 weeks and Saturday was the start of the 3rd week. Amy will sneak home tomorrow for lunch to see if it has arrived. If not, I guess I have to piece together something from the POTC shop at MK! Oh, well!

All our bags are all zipped and weighed! We can't believe we are finally leaving on this trip we have talked about for so long! It will be so nice to finally meet all of you in person!

For once I can say I'll catch to you all on board and not be referring to a website!

Bob, Gypsies in the Palace, I don’t think our party will get dull, so no one gets thrown in the pool.
Oh, you never know. Hey which night is "The Last Man Standing" night. With this crew, I expect one. :)

Work I will worry about when we get in cell phone range of CA, one quick call to see what I will be doing on 6/1. Other than that, I will have a Maynard G. Crebs attitude about WORK!!!! How’s that for dating oneself.

I remember my kids seeing him once on tv and they thought he was Gilligan with a funny beard.

Debbie,
I'm not sailing with you all (boo hoo!) but I just wanted to chime in and say what a great thing to get one of those for each cabin (now did you get all 800+ or just for the DISers? :rotfl2: :rotfl: )

Seriously though, I hope you all have a fantastic cruise! Wish I were going with you (not cruising again until October.)

Sue Ellen
Thank you Sue Ellen

Debbie, you are the best! Once we all give you the $ you'll have tons of dollar bills for room service tips! Thanks so much :cloud9:

Okay, headed home to finish up the last of the scrapbook stuff and then the final proofing of the mini-navigator before I print tomorrow!

Maybe I'll get lucky and my docs will have arrived. If not, I'll just go online tomorow and print out the PDF versions.

I booked all my spa, Palo (even though I was told there weren't any), and last minute excursion stuff which I hadn't decided on. It was soooooo easy............and it took Disney soooooooooooooo long!

Okay, sea-u-later!!!!

Linda

Gee before I miss out, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN. Although someone, I think Randall is his name, told me it is the 19th. I have proof. He needs typing lessons. :)

I got my 3RD EDITION PASSPORTER TODAY!!!! They are so nice, there was a lovely note inside saying it was a complimentary copy...the had expected the binder versions, etc (I need a refill!) to ship by now, but there was a printing issue (those poor people have the worst of luck!).

Anyway I'm glad I told them I would be leaving for the repo cruise this weekend, that's why they expedited a copy. They're wonderful!

I'm wearing the lanyard once, for the sailaway party. I won't be wearing it again. It'd be too much like work, having to run around the ship with an ID card on.

Cath, I love your non-conformist ways. Glad to know there is at least one other non-scrapbooking, non-scavanger-hunting individual on board. I was starting to feel like the Lone Stranger.

I was a bad mom...scarred my son for life. I just wasn't into cigar boxes a la gold sprayed macaroni or glitter-dusted pinecone center pieces. I know, I've trashed the all-american Mom image. At least I did my time in Little League hot sweaty afternoons and years of Room Mom.

:earseek:

Margaret, I don't know what I would scrapbook...I'm never in any of the pictures I take... and I've done my scavenger hunt duty, ask Jeff.

I've been saying to Amy that you and I are going to kiss the ground at Castaway Cay if we actually get to step off the ship there.

My fear is that if we don't making a landing this time there's gonna be a whole bunch of angry people looking for a jinks. And of the folks I've traveled with before, I think I'm the only one who's cruised with Disney more than once and never made a landing at CC. I'm gonna have duck and cover if we get high seas and gales yet again. I'm beginning to think it's just a big mobile backdrop... but just in case... I booked a glass bottom boat excursion. I'd like to do a banana boat too if there is time.
