I am going to CELEBRATE that I am "well" enough to go on this wonderful cruise. A big step forward for me.. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :bounce:  :earseek: :cool1:

Amen to that, I know the feeling! At 52, I've out-lived 95% of one side of my family. I come from a long line of explod-o-hearts. Everyday I wake up alive is glorious!!!

I guess it's our turn....

I work for a company that develops software for law firms. I started out as the development manager for a number of products, and have over time moved into the consulting realm of our company, where I now spend a lot of my time trying to teach attorneys about Ethics. (Oxymoron, losing battle, all that... :rotfl: ) That has me on the road about 30 weeks a year - all over the world.

I was raised on the mouse. My dad worked for Disney when I was born - he played Pooh when Pooh ran for president at Disneyland. My first trip to the park was when I was 4 days old - my parents took me to a cast preview of Robin Hood.

DW and I own a couple of retail stores, and she manages those on a day to day basis. I do the books when I am home. She also does freelance photojournalism, when the demands of the business are reasonable.

We first met online via alt.disney.disneyland, and met in person at Disneyland a few months later. About two years after that, we found ourselves getting married at the Disneyland Hotel (the old gazeebo that is now under ESPN zone), and having some of our wedding pictures taken in front of the castle.

No kids, but two very spoiled cats. We both love to read and cook - our two main hobbies when we are together. This is our third DCL cruise, and I can't wait.

I called Debbie this morning at 407-566-7411 for our REAS. I booked our Palo dinner, Palo brunch, High Tea, and our couple's massage. Unfortunately, we have to miss our first formal night because of Palo but we wanted to dine there on our anniversary.

While we still don't have our docs, I think I feel the need to get down with my Palo dance! :cool1:

Yeah, I know. They look the same. It's the only move I have!

Renae, I know all about Expedition Everest! I can't wait. I watched some of the construction the last two times we visited. It looks amazing! I'm jealous we aren't getting one in California! We will see if you are around when we arrive. We'd love to meet you before the cruise!

Okay- quick break...I'm looking at mortality statistics in Alaska- no I'm not kidding. :badpc:

I thought you couldn't book early reservations for stuff unless you were in a category 3 or higher???

Can you book them early??? I will be so happy- if that is true...it will make up for not having documents!

Celeste--back to the books- I'll check back in a few minutes

Thanks to Liz - I just booked our REAS reservations with Debbie. How cool will this be. So exciting to add to the trip.

Now we just have to remember what to do when and what day and what hour. WHEW !!!!! Hope we don't miss anything.

THANKS, LIZ - oh - did I say that already :rotfl: :rotfl:

You shouldn't say "explod-o-hearts" to someone with a full bladder....not nice! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I will have to use that at work- not in front of the patients!

so the 16th is probably a sure thing... great in my opinion.. get at least one formal dress out of the way before it ceases to fit.....:scared1:
Note to self: find something formalish with STRETCH that will still fit 12 days into the cruise.....:teeth: or plan on topsiders

Leslie you are soooo right. Even with help from our TUSSY friends I'll need those slinky-stretchy-knitty things I just bought. I have one in black, an outfit in turquoise, and one in red. I'm gonna need a fairygodmother :wizard: to help me after that.

Okay, enough funny business! People are booking Palo, etc. because they are doing the DCL REAS package.

Hope this helps!

Now how about those Alaskans??

OH MY - aren't we a busy group today.

I expect Linda to pop in any time now and tell us to

I'm wearing my clothes in tightest to loosest order on the cruise :) Wouldn't want to bring it and have it not fit.

We could always hope for high seas. A diet EVERYONE can do! :rotfl: :rotfl:

For those in AZ and the West Coast... we got our docs today. Considering we booked via DVC and were GTY.. and didn't book the air through them... I'm betting that those of you in the PDT time zone will have UPS showing up today with your stuff.

NOW.. with that said... I was reading the important messages page on the docs. There is a note about Personal Coolers may not be brought onboard except for those needed for medications, baby food, or items related to a dietary constraint. Is this boilerplate? Have you recent cruisers seen this in your other docs? I've read all the comments/posts about being able to bring a soft sided cooler and had unpacked mine (has wheels, goes through the airport scanner, and conveniently holds about 12 bottles of beer with room to spare!)... now I'm beginning to wonder. It's a pretty far stretch to say that my alcohol stash is medication... so... can anyone confirm for me if this message is something new?

This is really for the ladies only, unless of course you ummm move that way... Hmmm well lets not go there...

Oh ladies, I have found this dress store on the web www.buyinamerica.com. You are not going to believe the prices. I purchased 2 formals with shawls for the grand total of $130.00. The dresses that I purchased are lovely and the family says they look good...The people there are sooo nice. I have spoken with a woman names MJ tons of times today( a diffreent order) and she was very helpful. You might want to give the web site a peek..

Bye, Kim

My mom was a surg/charge nurse. Crashed and burned after HA #5. Entire side of the family has some sort of genetic coroary malfunction. Either hearts or vessels go poof --- all different sorts ways to manifest essential and finally maligant hypertension, don't ya know.

We are a cardiologist's dream, or I should say, nightmare. About 6 months ago, went through about 10K worth of tests to find out that there ain't no reason for my HBP. Even Cholesteral is in the 160 range. Finally, laughed at the darlin Dr and said, "Now will you believe me when I tell you, it's in the genes and there's not too much you can do about it?" All the darlin fella could say was "take your ACE and keep losing weight. Oh and the yoga thing is a good idea..."

Now, aren't you supposed to be studying for a TEST????

Okay, my turn.
Joe is a professor of Emergency Medical Science at Broward Community College. To put it simply as he says.... he trains Paramedics. :teacher: He loves teaching and he's been the recipient of several endowed teaching awards over the course of the 16 years he's been at BCC. He's a harda** instructor.. but turns out a good medic... and that's what you want when someones life is in their hands! He's also authored a drug calculation workbook that's used at the college and several other Paramedic training facilities around the state. Before we moved to FL(to be closer to WDW... really!) we lived in Pittsburgh PA (my home town) where he was the coordinator and training director of the Paramedic program out of a hospital there after working for the City of Pgh. EMS Training Dept since it's inception. In Pgh I worked for the Postal Service (don't even get me started... ) for a while then when we moved to Fla and I ended up working for Levi Strauss (the jeans company) until they did away with our field sales division and laid everyone off after 9/11. All those years of working full time out of an office in my home spoiled me. I couldn't stand the thought of going back to an office other than my spare bedroom.... so I've been a stay at home mom to a 12 year old and (almost) 3 year old twins..... LOL... the fact that they all have 4 legs makes no difference to me!! We do have 2 human children who have flown the nest, Ben, 27 and Erin 24, Both still single, although Erin thinks she has found Mr Right.........told her she would have to wait now... the dowry money just went for a big cruise....LOL. They both think we are nuts since we bought our "MouseHouse" (the townhouse in Windermere)... as Erin says.. "you are out of control Disney freaks!!" :crazy:I guess that degree in psychology gives her the right to determine that...:rotfl2:
 Joe and I will be celebrating 29 magical years together  as we sail away on 5/14 for our 5th Disney cruise. :boat: We both love Disney and have visited DL and DLP before. Maybe for our 40th we'll go to Hong Kong and Tokyo. Don't think there has ever been a vacation that didn't include Disney in some way, shape or form.... guess Erin is right....
Okay enough rambling. Next......
