Hi everyone,
Well we have finally decided after running all the numbers that we are going to rent a car from Enterprise ( across the street) to get us to the hotel at Disneyland, and then on to LAX on Monday. The price was basically 1/2 of super shuttle and 1/3 of the cost of a private car service. This way if we feel like touring we can...
Does anyone who is renting from Enterprise and staying at Disneyland want to form a little car caravan and drive to the area together ?? My mom is in charge of the map reading, ( already warned her) but in reality we could end up in Mexico ( she knows she is really bad at maps) , however she wouldn't drive in LA for anything...
So if you are interested in forming a car caravan to Disneyland count us in.
Bye, Kim

That would be a very good idea, but with everyone getting off the ship and getting all their luggage and keeping their family together and waiting in line to get the rental car/van, there would probably be a traffic jam, if we were to wait on each other. I'm sure there is no waiting area for that. Most of us are going to the Anaheim / DL area anyways. I think that would be hard to do.

For those on late breakfast, it would be impossible. I know, if I were ready to leave, I wouldn't want to wait on others to eat and then disembark and get their car/van and I wouldn't want others to wait on me. If it works out, that would be great, though.

I know the route from Long Beach to DL well and if we are out at the same time as you, we would be glad to head up the road at the same time. Not a problem at all. :moped: :moped:

Doesn't the first person who receives their docs get to buy everyone drinks? Congratulations on that honor Mickey&JoshNut!

Yeah, I heard that was the rule....I'll take a margarita...

Yay for you Elaine!!

It is almost 2:00 pm Central and no one else has got documents yet? That does not seem fair that only one person got them today! Maybe we are all working and they are waiting at home for us?

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Rebecca,

Remind me to tell you a funny story about shoes when we meet!

Janis

P.S. Hope your birthday was fabulous!

Sharon,

“Honey, I just found out somebody is sending us some mail, I guess we should go out and buy a mailbox.” :p

Very funny....I was thinking the same thing...how strange to have to go buy a mailbox to get your docs....what does your mailman do with your mail now?

Just curious...

I know, I know, I know - just thinking... just thinking... :teeth:

Kelli that (Cody) is where I may be later in the week. I think several folks would enjoy the mural in the Bottoms Up Bar at the Holiday Inn in Cody. I am in Casper till Tuesday for sure. Up in the air after that.

On the way over here I stopped in Riverton at the Walmart Super Center and scored those Blinky Flippy Floppy Thingies for Lynn and I. Boy those Walmart security dudes have no sense of humor when you dump all the Flippy Floppy Things on the ground and start slam dunking them to find the flashy ones. LOL……

Peter, What is the Holiday on Monday?????

Bob, maybe add Mexico to the CD??? Randall sorry will pass on the John Denver.

Elaine, you lucky duck getting the first docs. Will have to call Lynn when she gets up and tell here to keep a weather eye out. She is working graves.

Regis and Kathy Lee are on their own. DIS folks are much more important to me.

Renae, the wreckage you are referring to is about one third of the way out to the wreck we will be trying find if the tide is high. It is visible when the tide is low. It is a ways out there.

Lynn and I were talking about heading to PO for breakfast on 5/12, will you be there then??

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Well Nothing Here In At Home Keep Looking At The Mail Box & Porch But Nothing Should I Go Talk To My UPS Dude Saw Him Earlier But He Just Waved Hummmmm

I know that a number of us are going to Anaheim for a couple of days after the cruise. How many are going to tour LA? There are several tour companies that will pick you up at your hotel (Gray Line, Star Line, VIP tours, etc.) Has anyone used any of these in Anaheim? I searched the Disney California boards and saw Star Line and VIP mentioned several times. They seem to have the most variety of tours. We plan to go to Disney on Saturday and tour LA on Sunday. I'm wavering as to whether we will rent a car of do Super Shuttle. I want the last couple of days of our vacation to be as stress free as possible. :Pinkbounc

Has anyone tried on their blinkie flippy floppy thingies? Are they comfortable? :sunny:

Marie

Scott,

So.... you like those beignets too? ;) I don't know if I'll be there in the morning or not. I don't start OJT for 2 weeks, :hourglass and won't get my schedule until then. :confused3 Since it's a new dept. for me, I'll have NO seniority at all, I suspect the shifts won't be the best, but during training I might be working days. I'll let you know when I find out. :earsboy:

Anyone else staying at PO before the cruise? ::yes:: If I do see you, I'd love to know that you're Dis'ers! :grouphug: That would be so fun! I know I'd get all flustered and :bitelip: forget what I was doing :confused3 but it would be an early thrill before the official meets. :cheer2:

Thanks for the info on the wreck. :boat: I always thought the machinery was quite a ways out there, :rolleyes2 but it's worth it to see something new :fish: :boat: :fish: lunch afterwards will be a great reward! :mickeybar :drinking1

can't wait to meet you all,
Renae :earsgirl:

Yes we do.
Wishing I were wiping the powder sugar off my face to answer, Note to self, don’t wear black that day.

Hi Scott

While you and Lynn are getting covered in powder sugar, we will be zooming around Epcot on the Segways. I hope you have plenty of time to get that sugar rush out of your system before Dive Quest. ;)

Ken, It is a new theory I am working on to eliminate a weight belt.. LOL

Segways are fun, bad thing is you want to buy one after the program.

I used one on the Magic back in 2003. It was fun, but it got boring quickly just riding around in circles on the basketball court. I'm looking forward to actually going somewhere on it.

Scott: We have one and it is just awesome. DH goes to the store shopping with it and puts the groceries in a bag we have hanging on it. He knows everyone in the neighborhood now and I know no one.!!! He lets some of the older kids take a short ride on it but he is very - very careful about it. Can be very tricky with any move you make. You would not regret it if you were to purchase one. I take it that you have riden one before. Come to our house and you can ride all you want, anytime.

For me, I like my :moped: much better right now.

Would have to have snow tires for one here in WY, Maybe when we move to FL.

Thanks for the offer, we did the Segway tour last May. It was fun.

Such a strange question, but . . . I know Minnie always wears the white, flowing, sparkley dress on Formal night for the pictures. But, what does she wear for Semi-Formal night? Is she out and around? I'm thinking that DD may wear the Minnie costume for semi-formal night -- I'd love a picture with them...

Az Pirates (Sheila), Does Cammie have a Minnie Mouse costume? Any other around 6 year old DDs (Kaylin?) have Minnie Mouse costume? What a marvelous picture that would be!??

Ken... Joe rode one back in 2003 too (DVC member cruise)... wonder if you were in the same group. He liked it so much, we BOTH took the Segway tour in EPCOT last year! It was GREAT. To ride through EPCOT during the Flower Show in the early morning... just BEAUTIFUL!!! :flower:

I was proud of myself for taking it... it was rough going at first. In the "training area" we were in pretty tight quarters, and the girl next to me couldn't stop... you guessed it... BAM!!! right into me! My confidence was shaken after that. :rotfl:

HAVE FUN!!! Tell us how you liked it when we catch up on the cruise.
