You are an evil one aren't you! I could out buy you ANYDAY! And stay within budget! My eyes are trained for "special values."

Forget the headline about Gloria, it will be about us finding the one last *something*: They've been holding onto it for days, they refuse to get off the ship, they just keep shouting "It's mine!" "No, it's MINE!" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

<inappropriate response deleted> :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

And just WHAT was that inappropriate response?????:scared1:

SO watcha gonna wear? I have a "tea outfit" :teeth: that I've worn to tea for the past couple of years. Linen, casual, resort are the keywords! I don't have any skirts :rotfl: so it's capris for me! Actually my tea pants are cropped if you want to be picky.

OK off to complete my dining plans...Palo, brunch, tea...trying to figure out what days!

I am not a fashion plate....I prefer jean shorts (yes I know denim is out.. I DON"T CARE... report me to What Not To Wear... I can use the $5000) and a Disney Tee. I guess I'll have to get some hideous old lady outfit to wear to tea. I'm an old lady so I can say that.::yes::

Thanks everyone!!! :grouphug:
I read the post about driving to the port and being closed when we return from LA. I called DCL and they said since I booked air through them that I could park at the airport and they would transfer us no charge. I feel a little better now.
Also, I have a stupid question. This is our first time with passports. Since my daughter is only 7, what do I do in the space in the passport where you sign you name? Do I sign? Do I sign her name? Do I sign my name for her? I am completely lost when it comes to these things!
So, whos leaving first? Lucky ducks you are! I have next friday off, but DH has to work, so we will leave Fri. as soon as he gets off work, then we will drive to Ocala to get my MIL, and drive over Sat. morning. It's getting tougher and tougher to make it through the days knowing its oh so close!

Leslie, you crack me up!!!! :rotfl2: You don't need to wear some hideous old lady outfit. A pair of capris with a casual top will suffice.

And who says denim is out? I have a denim skirt, a denim skort, and a pair of denim shorts I'm packing for the cruise. So take that, all you fashionistas! :goodvibes

OMG now you sound like my mom! How about we have a queer eye for the straight Gloria, I mean girl. :) LOL!

I'm sure you will look FINE in whatever you wear. You can sip tea (or your favorite choice of beverage) anyday with me! :)

Just got a phone call too. Very weird.... while it seems like a nice gesture on the surface, I can't help but wonder if this is a roundabout way for them to try and solicit business for the transfers.
She mentioned that she just wanted to make sure nobody would be stranded at the pier. Strange comment... I'm guessing that their numbers are way off as a lot of people are doing their own things. I'm guessing that the car rental companies on both sides are going to be packed.
For those of you who are doing Budget in San Pedro. Just want to prepare you for the fact that it is not right there at the port. We've sailed in that port before. Basically you have to take the shuttle into Long Beach. Budget provides it.. but considering the potential crowds, if you have Budget... be prepared for a looonnnng wait as the Budget office is about 12 miles away. We had gotten off early from our last cruise... called over and were advised the shuttle was 30 minutes away. We were then given the option to take a cab over and they would reimburse us.... which wound up costing as much as the rental! So free car for us.
Needless to say... we're taking Execucar this time. However, for those of you with rentals... San Pedro is not very pedestrian friendly... unless something has drastically changed... expect that you will be doing some serious jockeying for a position on your rental shuttles.

Just to check, I called Budget yesterday at the Port in CA. - or the closest one to the Port - and they are not close by - they are approximately 15 miles away. He said it would take 15 to 20 minutes to get to their rental office from the ship docks. And they charge a drop off fee at LAX.

I am with Hertz and they do not charge a drop of fee at LAX

THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP LESLIE!!!

We are leaving for Disneyland tomorrow morning 11 a.m. flight. I'll pop over to the VISA site and print out because I am sure the CM's won't know what the heck I'm talking about when I want a discount! Happens more often than not for me......

By the way...........for anyone in the Disneyland area, our DD Jamie (13) will be singing and dancing her way through DL and CA this Fri/Sat.

If anyone is completely packed, has absolutely nothing to do, and wants to come watch her perform, here is the schedule:

Friday-12:30 p.m. Disneyland-Carnation Plaza stage, (just to the left at the front of Cinderella's Castle)

Saturday-10:30 a.m. California Adventure, Hollywood Stage.

On Saturday they probably won't be doing costume changes as there is no backstage area. Hopefully the weather clears up and there will be no rain!

So, my computer time will be minimal this weekend..........but I am taking my laptop!

Linda

Isn't it fun how we include our computers as one of our family members- they get to come on all our vacations... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:badpc: :badpc:

Yet- mine will be coming with me on the cruise...and my books too.

Rumor has it that my documents may hit the TA today and I have BEGGED to have them sent overnight mail....maybe Friday?

Mikimous - we are also doing Execucar. The guy that took my reservation seemed to be new and didn't know how to answer most of my questions, including - where will our driver meet us? Did they tell you where your driver would meet you?

We are doing execucar also..they told us our driver would meet us on the dock and will have a sign with our name on it.

I wondered, too. So, I looked at my passport (that I have used a few times) and it wasn't signed! I had to laugh out loud. But, the instructions say something about you can sign for her. Or, she can sign herself. I'm not sure what I'll do with Becca's -- proabaly let her write her name. And, I guess I should sign my own, too.!

If I am remembering correctly- you can sign their name and put your name and relationship. I believe we did this

childs name/parents name (parent)

However, I plan on letting Noah, my six year old- sign his own. When we use the passport- they always ask him his name and who I am....sometimes making me stand on the side away from him, and if I'm traveling alone with him they often ask if his daddy know where he is. (at that point I pull out the notarized letter- sometimes people don't believe I'm his mother.) I think he will like signing his own name- on his second passport....his new one came in the mail last week.

Although I am in my 30s- when I don't wear any makeup and pull my hair up in a barette- I frequently get asked if I'm 18-21. While I don't think I look that young- or young at all- I have been acused of being a teenage mom- even when I wear my diamond. (I usually do not wear a wedding ring- nor will I be on the cruise...got out of the habit after scratching patients with the high setting) This last happened last year flying to Chicago from Boston- I politely told some "nice" lady to buzz off-

Celeste,

Don't worry about the .42 cents, the hospital has us send out notices to anyone that owes money but there is a minimum, just can't remember what it is. If you got no notice, they are not worried about it. Keep the .42 cents and enjoy an extra ounce of your favorite beverage on the cruise.

LOL- thanks! :goodvibes

The information we have at this time is that Disney is running
behind in processing the paperwork and luggage tags. You can still access
the service at the airport, if you previously signed up for the service,
even if you didn't receive the paperwork and special luggage tags prior to
your departure.

According to Disney, if guests do not receive their tags prior to leaving,
or if they happen to forget to tag their bags, they are to go directly to
the Magical Express Welcome Center on the 1st floor of the airport. There
will be Cast Members who will take care of picking up non tagged bags.
Guests can look for Cast Members in the area where you get off the shuttle
from the gates and they can direct them where to go.

:rotfl: Your mom and I would probably get along famously. :rotfl: In any case my pinkie will be up but it will be a strain.....I may be the first person kicked out of High Tea. :rotfl2: Mary Poppins I am NOT.

Gloria could use some help... at her last performance I believe she was wearing denim shorts and a Mickey Mouse Club Tee shirt...:rotfl2:...........and a boa of course!

My advice for tea is this: do not rush, enjoy the atmosphere of your surroundings and the tastes of the fine cuisine, sweet and wet as it may be with tea! I find it relaxing since it is nice and cool in Palo and sunny (since tea is daytime).

Oh, they do have a lovely selection of apertifs as well as the full bar available should you need it. A love a good bellini!

We are going to Disneyland this weekend. We decided to take a last minute trip for our son's birthday on Saturday. We will try to make it over to the Saturday performance! We will be there Fri evening until Sunday afternoon. Maybe we can have a mini pre-cruise DIS meet?!

Let's see... High tea vs. more scrapping.... hmmmmmmmmmmm I don't need food that much! Let's make it an all day crop and see what DCL does about it! LOL!!!!! I can just see us all spread out with paper and stickers everywhere, and little scraps of paper flying... I think the poor CM's would think they were having a nightmare, lol...

Just 11 more hours for me this week and I am hasta la bye bye, unless something major happens. Today went fast but was rather hectic. One of those days where everbody wanted something and office equipment, copier and computer CD RW drives were not cooperating. Don't they know I am going on vacation soon. LOL

Just in case anyone forgets what is going on from time to time - I will make copies of the little calendar that has been posted.

Of course, it will not take place of the Navigtor that you will be getting - just in addition to it
