Back from 2 18 hour work days - and now pages and pages behind....

Yes, I signed up for the intl program with cingular, so it shouldnt be too bad and for my company it was worth it to them to try to keep me on a leash....

Oh well, there are worse things...

I hope it works. It is supposted to get service throughout portions of the cruise...I assume it depends on how close to shore we are. I am betting on it in ports and such...and the rest I can keep up in the internet cafe if I dont have service.

Please dont hesitate to give me a ring on board if you need any help. I will be happy to try.

Is there a MAC machine on the ship? How about in Disneyland or the Disney hotels?

I know we can use our key card for charging, but we're trying to plan on $, and I don't like to carry a lot of it around. I'm a real plastic gal This will be the first time we've been away from the home MAC machines for SO LONG!

Has anyone ever used the "receipt" gratuities for the crew... the ones you get through the services desk, and they charge to your room? Did it work out alright? In the past, we've given cash in our own envelopes.

Georgie: We always use the "receipt" gratuities... that way we can charge them to our stateroom and rack up rewards points. Plus, we don't like to carry any more cash than we have to. By MAC machine I'm assuming you're talking about an ATM... (haven't heard MAC since I lived in PA!!) No ATM on board but if you take travelers checks, they will cash them for you at guest services. I believe they have ATM's at DL... the service fee will be high though so plan on that.. It's $3 a pop at WDW.

Georgie, we have used the receipt system for both of our cruises, and it couldn't be easier! Be sure to go to Guest Services a little early (i.e., don't wait until the last day, because the lines will be LONG), and tell them how much you want to tip each person. They will charge it to your account and give you receipts for each one. Then you put the receipt in the corresponding envelope and give it to your server/room steward, etc. Doing it this way really helps with the cash flow!

Perhaps one of the best puns ever at Disneyland was one that may have been unintentional. Captain Hook's pirate ship which was present at Disneyland's opening, contained a restaurant inside, which served great tuna sandwiches. Thus, the frequently cowardly Hook was sponsored by Chicken of the Sea.

THANKS!!! DH doesn't like traveler's checks, but... if Guest services will cash them that would do the trick!

MAC is my DH's name for the ATM... looks like I've come to use it too

He'll always say we need to visit Uncle Mac (which REALLY means we're out of cash! )

Nope! Looking for an actual full blown passenger ship with guest cabins for 1,957 passengers, weighs 81,000 tons, and over 1,000 feet long.

If you don't want to pay for internet access to check and see how your favorite driver did in the two races we will be missing (Richmond and the All Star) I will be checking the results after each race. If there is a need I can print out the results and post them on our stateroom door.

I'm wondering if it will be Jaime (is that her name... the singer from Little Mermaid + Hercules) She was there for the inagural ceremony for the Disney Magic. She was there at the DVC Opening Ceremony of Saratoga Springs Resort...

Well... maybe not. She's a singer... and has performed on Broadway. Maybe they're thinking of a concert type performer???

Sorry for the double post

I just got off the phone with DCL - I was trying to find out if they had any information about character breakfasts - I didn't even know about the character breakfasts as we have only been on a 4 day and they didn't have them on it. I was hoping I didn't plan our breakfast on a character breakfast day but DCL does not have any information about the character breakfasts but I did find out 2 interesting things:

We will have a celebrity singer on board for a night ​

and

we are getting a commemorative book about our sailing​
