Still no docs here. :sad2: :sad2:

Okay... so when are we going to have time to do anything that is actually planned by DCL??? :rotfl2:
I'm wondering if I should move the pin trading meet until later in the cruise. Is Saturday 5/21 still good for everyone... I'm just afraid it might interfere with a Ducky signing... considering it's the day after we go thru the canal and there might be a litho to have signed. :cool1: Let's have a vote PIN TRADERS ALERT!!
Saturday 5/21 or Tuesday 5/24.. probably around 1:30 pm PM me or post here.

Saturday would probably be better, Ducky is not getting on the ship until Acapulco!!!

So far we have 22 1/2 people for the Jammie Breakfast!!!!!

Well off to bed now....unfortunately I will be unable to check in until after work tomorrow...I don't know why they won't give us the internet at our workstations....I'd still get my work done...yeah right!!!!

Hopefully my Inbox won't be too full when I get home.

Are we sure of this?? Why wouldn't he be on the entire cruise? I wouldn't think that would leave him enough time (sea days) to hold his seminars and do signings! Anyone else have thoughts?? :confused3
Maybe we'll have to play it by ear:listen: .... I can always post the info on the daily DIS Navigator or leave notes on your Fish. :fish:

I cannot get the word for "A Pirates Life for me" to link from the daily letter...Help.

ACCESSING COMPUTER ON SHIP

Thanks to whoever suggested looking at www.gotomypc.com. I'm playing around with a trial version now. It looks like exactly what I needed to make a couple small file uploads every few days by accessing my home computer while on the ship.

My only concern is that I'll get on the ship, and it won't work. The company says that the software will get through firewalls because the host computer is setup already and the remote computer accessing it won't be intruded upon. But I still can't help but be paranoid that it won't work.

I was planning on passing off some small web updates that can't be left undone for three weeks to some other people, but this would be so simpler if it could work. Does anyone have experience with this and could you help ease my fears? Thank you! :worried:

Peter asked if I would organize the Jammie Breakfast because Linda already had a lot on her plate and I accepted. I'm new to all this so please be gentle and if I mess up or step on some toes, please let me know.

Please PM me, or post here, if you'd like to attend the Official Disney DisBoard Jammie Breakfast.

Also I need to know what date you guys would prefer, scrapbook day (May 17th) or scavenger hunt day (May 22nd).

Also, do we want Lumiere's or Parrot Cay?

Elaine

P.S. You do not need to have Disney jammies to attend but PJ's (of some sort) are required :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm a little old to show up in my jammies but don't want to miss out on anything. Either date is fine with me.

Hello from CmpkC and family. A brief intro: Chris and Cathy are celebrating our 30th anniversary on this cruise. Love Disney and couldn't think of a better way to do it and, now we know we'll be cruising with a fun group, too. Sailing along are Caitlin, our daughter, and my mother, Dolores. We were looking forward to the cruise all along, but finding this forum has upped the excitement level here in Highlands Ranch, CO.

Thanks for all the good info and especially the warm welcome...

Ok folks. This is the allcall for magnets.

The following is the pertinent information.

1. The email address is monorailpilot@gmail.com
2. I will not reply to e-mail sent to this address (with a few exceptions, so please only send magnet related info
3. Magnets are free, are 1 per stateroom (with an exception for disboarders from unrelated families traveling in the same room)
4. The first line of the magnet is either your first names (Jeff and Jen), your last name (The Carter's) or your disboard names (Jenkatt & Tigfanjeff).
5. The second line of the magnet is any of the above OR your hometown (Apollo Beach, FL)
6. *YOU MUST BE ON THE MASTER LIST TO HAVE A MAGNET MADE*
7. To get on the master list please send an e-mail to jenkatt@gmail.com People have PM'ed updates to Jen and myself, e-mailed to other accounts we have (jeffc@tiggerfan.net, monorailpilot@gmail.com) etc and while we try to get it all on the list, its getting to be crunchtime. Please *PLEASE* use the one listed e-mail.
8. If you don't have an asterisk (*) next to your name on the master list at http://www.tiggerfan.net/canal please send an email to me with your information from #'s 4 and 5 above. If you *think* you've already sent it, please note that in the e-mail. If you have already sent it but aren't on the master list, but have sent or are about to send your info for the master list, please give me a few days to get caught up on the master list and if you still don't have an asterisk once I announce that I've processed all magnets, *THEN* send a second e-mail.

Thanks folks. This is a massive undertaking as you can all imagine, but it should be a lot of fun for everyone. See ya on board.

Hi Cruisers:

I also don't want to step on anyone's toes that has planned so much for this wonderful cruise and it seems to be going together perfectly.

I started the calendar thingy because I was asked to list some activities that we had planned - and didn't want to conflict with other activities and there was an interest to start a progression of people that wanted to see some staterooms -- so that for future bookings -- we could see how the rooms looked and their size in relation to the ones we have previously booked and stayed in. AND ONLY to the staterooms that we have been given permission to see - ---- I would think THOSE PEOPLE will be in the progression of trekers. Our Segway would be perfect for this, but DCL won't let me bring it. :moped:

That being said, I will go through the daily update and list some more activities that are planned and add onto it, just to try and make things more clear day by day - while we are onboard.

I know that I, myself, don't want to miss anything that the group has planned and my personal plans - - and I plan on taking my home calendar with me and keep it in my stateroom - to check it each day along with the Navigator that is being provided to us and the things that will be put on our room "fish".

I am open to any and all suggestions for anything at all. :grouphug: :grouphug:

I have heard that this works with the computers on DCL. Would you be accessing your computer at home or at work? I know people whbo have used this service on DCL and their home computer became unstable and they were no longer able to access it. If you had someone who could reboot your computer on occassion, I believe the system would work fine- but otherwise you may run into stability problems. I would love to use this program from the boat, but I fear my old desktop would freeze. I attempted to test this theory over a weekend once....
I couldn't access this site from work as it had been blocked by the IT department. I then found that my computer had somehow rebooted itself and I couldn't access it remotely from my laptop.

I have talked to people on DCL who love it and it has worked fine for them and I talked to people who have had similar situations.

Also- my firewall on internet security wouldn't let it work...

I think the DIS Board was down again last night for most of the night.

Anyone hear from a poster via phone or otherwise that they could not get on??
