I would like to know how many entrepreneurs or entrepreneur “want-to-be”s there are on this cruise. I enjoy talking small business and would like to meet some DIS’ers who do to. What does every one do?
:rolleyes1

My wife and I have started and operate two small businesses. Would love to chat, swap ideas, etc. Both are retail stores - one a physical store and the other exclusively online.

Yikes! My calendar has us in Curacao on Wednesday, May 18 . . .

Hey Scott H.

I bet the guy who invented the medical staple does have a huge place down your way...good for him. Those things are great. I had them s/p c-section- worked like a charm and didn't hurt coming out- and my scar is nice.

Do you ever see Calysta and Harrison?
Who else do you see...I know lots of interesting people have homes out your way. How about the VP? Gotta love a state with interesting tax laws.

Morning everybody!

When we were on the Wonder over Easter, we talked to an officer about this very subject. He says they are working on 2 ships, (cheaper when you buy 2, lol) They are still having trouble with the euro/$ exchange rate, but have design mostly done. They will be 1/3 bigger! He said they expect to have a 'hull in the water' by 2009. That seems to be a long time off, but at least it's coming! They love the name, btw!

Since you are making this list, how about we schedule the Scavenger Hunt for May 22 from 10:00am to noon. How's that sound to everyone?

This fits us!!! We do the character breakfasts, lunches and dinners too! :rotfl: Oh! And we've been known to wear matching t-shirts and Mickey ears... and both of our cars GEJO + GEJO1 have seasonal Mickey ears on the antenea!

WOW left for a couple hours 10 pages to catch up on and past 10,000 Posts. I thought of a terrific way to keep this group together. As Everyone knows the rumor is that 2 more ships are coming to Disney in the next few years. I figure since we are the guinea pigs for this cruise, they should make us the official cruisers for all the Inaugural Sailings now. So when the New Disney Dream is ready to come over from Italy or Japan or whereever they build it, the cruisers are ready to go.

All we have to do is change the title of the thread to OFFICIAL DISNEY FIRST CRUISERS FOR ANY INAUGURAL CRUISE.

:cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:
We will SEE You There ...

So, what's it gonna take to get a DISboards group singing of Pirates Life For Me on Pirate night?

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me.

We pillage, plunder, we rifle and loot,
drink up me 'arties, Yo Ho.
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot,
drink up me 'arties, Yo Ho.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me.

We extort and pilfer, we filch and sack,
drink up, me 'arties, Yo Ho.
Maraud and embezzle and even highjack,
drink up me 'arties, Yo Ho.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me.

We kindle and char and inflame and ignite,
drink up me 'arties, Yo Ho.
We burn up the city we're really a fright,
drink up me 'arties, Yo Ho.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me.

We're rascals and scoundrels, we're villains and knaves,
drink up me 'arties, Yo Ho.
We're devils and blacksheep, we're really bad eggs,
drink up me 'arties, Yo Ho.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me.

We're beggars and blighters and ne'er do well cads,
drink up me 'arties, Yo Ho.
Aye, but wer're loved by our mommies 'n dads,
drink up me 'arties, Yo Ho.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me.

If they do the MIDNIGHT SHOWING of PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN on Pirate Night, maybe we could ALL go up on the stage and sing the song!!! I think THAT would be FUN(NY)!

Poor, Kara! I'd start walking to FL if I were you......just start early! :goodvibes

Btw, how much are your parking tickets? Ours are $15 if they haven't gone up recently....glad only a few places are enforced, and I'm not usually in that part of town!!! I remember when they were "only" $2 and we thought that was awful!!! :rotfl:
Okay, so once again I'm behind reading and catching up with you all...seems you just can't shut up on the weekends!

Anyhoo, to answer your question Kelli, the parking ticket came from the lovely city of Palo Alto (translation = expensive) so the ticket is $27. Not terrible, but still cuts into my cruise budget!

Another very busy week, so I'll do my best to keep up with you all! No docs here yet, still not even printed. Is it just me, or does DCL seem to be even more disorganized than usual for this cruise?

Has anyone shipped packages down ahead on prior cruises? Did it go ok? I'm just wanting some validation my big box of books will actually be in my stateroom and I won't be reduced to reading the navigator again and again and again by the pool.

Catherine, Thanks for the Pink Panter clairification, Which one wast that secene in??

That is from "The Pink Panther Strikes Again," the scene where Clouseau goes to Bavaria to rescue Professor Fassbender.

(Big fan of the Pink Panther movies since I was a very small child. My dad used to take me to see them. I didn't get the adult jokes then, but the slapstick stuff was funny, anyway. My favorite scene from that movie is the assassins chasing Clouseau through the Oktoberfest.)

My cruise nightmare (which I was going to post on my cruise blog but will mention it since others are having them) was forgetting to go on the cruise and going to work instead, and not realizing it until my coworkers asked in the middle of the day why I wasn't on the cruise.

My husband owns his own Heating and Air Conditioning business.

From the time I officially left work Friday evening and got here this morning, our disboard family had posted:

541 posts
36 pages!

WOW!!!!

Keep that chatter going!
