Well, I finalized my cabin and was told to stay up on the May 14th cruise at the boards here. If anyone can point me to some of the key posts as I've tried reading the thousands of posts and am going kookoo, I'd appreciate it. I'm ready to have a blast and will be happy to see many I know. Ken :earsboy:
There is a summary that appears every day that will put you right on track...The rest is just chatter and fluff...

You and Beth, too, can be assured of being in the thick of things if you get your stateroom info to Tigfanjeff or JenKatt for the master list...

Ok, have gotten all the emails/PMs from people. We;ll be heading to Disney for the weekend for our anniversary. Jeff and I will be updating the lists/ deck plans in the morning before we head up. So if you don't see us updating anything after the morning, just be patient we'll finish up Sunday night.
Just a quick reminder, Jeff is only taking magnet info for those DISboard names that begin with the letters A-F, no others. Once we get all those done, we'll move on. Please be patient. Between the list, deck plans and now the magnets, our email boxes and PM boxes are on overload!!! We do get everyone's messages, but don't usually reply unless something is missing or needs to be addressed. We're not being rude, i swear, just overwhelmed!
One last thing, if anybody wants us to pick up anything from WDW or needs some info, email me by 10ish and I will do my best to get it done...

WELCOME to the thread!

I'm a former Bellinghamster, myself... miss the trees

Thanks, Lynda :goodvibes

Texas is a long way from Bellingham....don't you miss the rain? ;)

yep, I do, indeed.

We're having a terrible drought this winter -- the weather has been wonderful, sunny and warm, nothing like the typical Puget Sound winter with the gray skies and endless drizzle. I know I should think about how much we need the snow in the mountains for water this summer, but all I can do is rave about the beautiful weather we're having now. :sunny:

It did rain really well today for the first time in weeks. :umbrella:

If y'all aren't careful, with all that sun you'll have to change the name of the state to California... except there's been a bit of rain there....
Well, it's all crazy...Around here, last week it was rain, rain, rain...This week ...80 degrees and dry, dry, dry... aargh, this pirate has skin so dry that walking the plank would be a pleasure....

Has anyone found a good deal on transportation from the Port of Los Angeles to Anaheim and then back to LAX? We are considering extending our trip for a couple of days.

We have booked a transfer with DCL to Anaheim (Disneyland Hotel) which costs the same as the DCL transfer to Port Canaveral, for Anaheim to LAX we decided to leave it until we arrive unless anyone has any suggestions

It was 89 here just a few days ago and looks like 69 for a high this weekend. Not quite as extreme a change as you had, but still an adjustment.

I just saw a news report showing kids out making snowmen on their spring break up north - guess you could find that happening lots of places this year.

I spent 6 months in London on a study abroad program while in college. I hate to say exactly how many years ago - but I slept on the street to catch a glimpse of Prince Charles and Lady Diana on their wedding day. ;)
I remember some really cold, wet days!

I remember that day ,I am ashamed to say although I only lived about ten miles away, and could have got there in 45 minutes that I only watched it all on TV.

As you probably know Charles is now marrying Camilla ,who is not very popular in the UK.

I too have insomnia. Sometimes dog induced; most other times I just can't stay asleep.

Maybe we need another list! :scratchin Gather the names of those of us who suffer from insomnia, and then figure out a place we can all meet at 2:00 a.m. :grouphug:

I normally watch TV when I can't sleep. But with only a 200 square foot stateroom I can't disturb Kevin. I'll grab a book and go sit somewhere and read until I get sleepy again.

Hi everyone!

I just typed up an introduction, then previewed it, wanted to change something, and when I clicked back, it disappeared -- not a good beginning, but I'll try again anyway.

It took me several days (more like a week) but I skimmed all 6000+ posts in this thread. My, but you-all have been busy! and I'm very late to this party, hope you don't mind.

I know a few of you from RADP and from previous cruises (you know who you are :grouphug: ) and hope to get to know the rest of you over the next couple of months.

I only hope I'm not too late to sign up for the wine tasting! :)

And I hope you'll all help me celebrate my 55th birthday, which just happens to be May 14, 2005!

Beth

Whoopie! BethE, you made it to DIS!!! :earsgirl:
Welcome dear Friend! :wave2:

Beth was part of the group of friends that made my 50th onboard the Magic so much fun. :thewave:

I can't wait to see the gang together. Yo, Carol --- you got enough deck chairs on that monster veranda of yours??? I'm gonna be over there annoying you to death. :jumping2:

Kelli, do you think they will get upset if we trall for marlin and sailfish off Carol's veranda? We'd need a wintch to haul it on board...My little Nav hole is too small to fight for the big ones.
OK OK just teasing! :rolleyes1

But Seriously: Is anyone in the group doing a weight loss program, such as LA Weight Loss or Weight Watchers? I know I'm gonna need a bit of morale support. I'd like to form a network of diet-buddies to help each other maintain some modicum of impulse and temptation control. If you are interested, please send me a private post. :grouphug:

Congrats to those getting Stateroom assignments. At least those of us in the life boat suites already know the location of our muster station.

Yep, The good old Yankee American Dollar will work fine in all the ports we are visiting. In Curacao the Guilder is the local currency and prices are marked in both Guilder and US Dollars.

ATM’s a Credit card use works well. I once had a credit card problem with a new (VISA or MC ??) card being used in a foreign country. Worked great the first time. Card Company saw the foreign charge thought it was suspicious and shut the card down till I called them. Hard to call from the Caribbean. Never had that problem with American Express.

We are all set with Primetime Shuttle for CA area transportation.

Welcome aboard Beth and Ken, as posted Peter’s most excellent updates and Jeff and Jen’s site with the master list.

BEWARE : Lynn is working grave shifts and is lurking under my username….I can tell when I sign on.

Have a happy St Patty day…
