I just paid my balance using my Disney Visa...hoping to get the $50 stateroom credit. Let me know if you are successful in getting it!

Dreams Unlimited came through for me. Originally DCL said all of my payment wasn't on a Disney Visa. After investigating I found the deposit was on mine, and tha balance was on my DH... BOTH were Disney Visas.

Now, granted, the payment wasn't on the SAME Disney Visa, but... DU came through for me, and worked it out with DCL (saving me the phone call and any problems). I told them I would gladly transfer the balance amoutn from one card to another, but as it turns out, that wasn't necessary. We got the $50 stateboard credit! :Pinkbounc

Looks like we'll have some pin $ after all!

Thanks Dreams Unlimited!!! :disrocks:

I'm originally from Greeley, CO. Where is this vineyard? I'd be very interested to hear what they produce. We are going to bring a few bottles from the winery in Clermont, Florida. It's not that bad.

Its called the "Monfort Winery"------ :teeth:

Actually, what I was referring to is that Colorado, is just south of us--we are 7 miles from the Colorado border. I'm bringing 2 bottles of an "award winning Chardonnay from the Two Rivers Winery" in Grand Junction. Grand Junction is NOT just south of us, unless you think globally, but Colorado is.

Wyoming wine is still on the edge......of reality!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

How long has it been since you were in Greeley? I bet its changed a LOT!!!!

On another note (where is DisneyPinDiva???) I tested a bottle of wine tonight for the safety of others at the wine tasting. Wanted to make sure my vintage :teeth: 1995 Fume Blanc hadn't turned to vinegar.

Thank you for the sacrifice that you made on our behalf. :drinking1

Still haven't decided what kind of wine we're bringing. I'm not a huge fan of the fruit wines produced here in Florida, while not bad, nothing I care for either... There are however I few Australian wines I adore....

Good Morning Cruisers:

I ordered more shirts from Cafepress yesterday. I figured if we are wearing them as a group one day, I needed another one to wear another day.

All these shirts are wearing me down............ Have to cut down on my pin buying now... :rotfl:

Didn't get to sleep until 4 a.m. - watched movies all night - coughed my fool head off. DH is at the drug store now to get me some OTC medicine.

Sure a nap is in the day's plans w/o a doubt.

Sunny and warm here and no rain in sight. What do I care, I'm in the house all day.... :rolleyes1

There are some very good Virginia wines, but I think I drank them all. :) I might have a red VA wine left. Red is not my favorite. I think I have a bottle of Mondavi Botrytis left...super yummy and not for sharing ;). Mondavi wines are my favorite :teeth:!

I personally think embarkation day should be "Reposition This" day and debarkation should be "Lousy T-Shirt" day.

Also, for *EVERYONE* who wanted it. http://www.zazzle.com/products/product/product.asp?caching=on&product_id=235857238055289012&index=1

Enjoy. So far zazzle revenues are 98.44, which once I get a check, will all go to GKTW.

new book...

I finally finished Path Between the Seas...whew, done. Did you know the Americans built the canal? And that it's still there? ;) That was a lot of reading! I bought another book which has a lot of pictures and a lot fewer words :) It will do for one day at the gym instead of the month for Path.

Portrait of the Panama Canal from Construction to the Twenty-First Century. Text by William Friar, forward by George R. Goethals. ISBN 1-55868-746-7, $16.95

Lots of great pictures. Haven't read the text yet, that is tonight.

I also bought 2 of the canal maps that were listed somewhere, another site I think. Great maps, I had one laminated at Kinkos, they did a great job. I can put the laminated map in the tube I will need for artwork.

Doesn't matter to us which shirts we wear which day. When it is decided, just post it and let us know. I have both now.

Ok. I got the magnetic paper in, and printed off the first door magnet. It looks great. I'm getting ready to open up shop, so here is what I need, and please follow it very carefully to give me time to make sure I don't miss anyone.

If your disboard name on the cruise list starts with an A through F, or a number, please e-mail me at monorailpilot@gmail.com. If multiple disboarders are in a cabin, its the first name on the list that counts.

I will need to know what you want on the first and second lines (If anything). The first line can be a family name (The Carter's), first names (Jeff & Jen) or your disboard names (Jenkatt & Tigfanjeff). The second line can either be your hometown (Apollo Beach, FL) or your disboard names if they are not on the first line. Either line can be left blank.

You will not receive an e-mail back from me confirming things, so please check spelling and names closely. When your magnet is printed I will place an * next to your name on the cruise list. Once I've gotten through the first batch, I'll post calling for the next group of e-mails. Thanks again.

We find the wines at the Sabastian winery in St. Augustine too be better than the Lakeridge winery. We hope to get up there before the cruise. Alex

How many nurses are on board? Usually there's a bunch due to flexible scheduling on units... just curious if there's a night to share war stories... I've got alot of ammo from my last two nights at work...

Carolyn and I are both nurses, althought Carolyn "retired" a few years ago when I retired from the Navy. Carolyn did peds, I do alot of OB. Alex

Hi Jeff

Thanks for the work on the T-shirt design using the Pin. However, I think the request to have the reverse of the pin on the back was misunderstood. I think the idea was to turn the pin over (bottom to top), not reserve it.

Again, thanks for all your hard work on these shirts.

We recently purchased the Canon Digital Rebel and love it. It takes excellent pictures. It is very easy to use. I would appreciate some tips from those who use SLR cameras regularly. I want to take pictures of the shows, particularly Disney Dreams. But I can't figure out what settings to use. I'm a fully automatic user right now. Not sure we could have waited, I'm a slow learner.

The Digital Rebel just went on sale at Best Buy. A new model is coming out. Canon had a great rebate offer at the time we bought so we also got a telephoto lens and carrying case. Still debating on the wide angle lens (fisheye?) lens. Oh, and we still need to get the 1Gig memory card.

Now, about the Muppets!! I can see a conga line snaking through Deck 3 with all of us singing "We've got cabin fever!" :rotfl:

Randall

:earsboy:

We LOVE our Canon Digital Rebel. We have the zoom lens as well as the original lens it came with. We have a couple of 256 cards, a 528 and a couple of 128's. Now that the prices have come down so much, they are much more affordable. With our new digital video camera, it has a 1 GIG card. Costco or Sam's Club has the best prices on the cards and I think Costco has a coupon deal going on this week for the memory cards.

When we take pictures at the shows (i.e. Disney Dreams), we find that using the sports mode works the best and we try not to sit back to far. And, we try to take pictures when either there is alot of light or not too much movement.

You'll find that you take tons of pictures. On the 10 day Christmas Cruise I took over 2000 pictures. I just download to my laptop each night, clear off the disks and start all over again!

We really need to take a class though so we can become better photographers. Canon did have a website last year with the Digital Rebel, I'll have to research and see if it is still around!

Linda
