Friday we attended the Buckwheat Zydeco show at a local club. Very good. Very energetic. Zydeco, blues and "a little more".

Have one of their CD's, they are good.

Haven't we all.

I think maybe Buckwheat was a little under the weather. Still, a lot of fun.

I read on the main Cruise Line board that Captain Henry would be at the helm for both the repo cruises and the west coast cruises.

We cruised with Captain Henry on our 4 day Wonder cruise (Nov 28 - Dec 2/04). He was really nice and a lot of fun. My Mom & I are huge Josh Groban fans and we had fun "Joshing" Captain Henry. He didn't know who Josh was at the beginning of the cruise but did after 4 days!!!!

Buckwheat, or Stanley Dural Jr, got his start playing organ for Clifton Chenier. That is where he learned the accordian. He is the supposed heir to Chenier's throne as king of party zydeco music. Don't know if it's true, but about half of the people in the club the other night were up and dancing. Alot of fun. My first hurricane in quite some time.

We used to go see Buckwheat at a Crawfish festival that's held in the spring here in NJ. What a blast.. Also go to see this guy Steve Riley and Mamou(sp?) playboys. Jumbalya, cold beer, and Zydeco. What a great time.

What started of the night was a trip across the street to a restaurant called the Cajun Connection. Wonderful food. I had the Bourbon Cheese Chicken. And Peacan pie.

DCL told me two weeks ago that Captain Thord Haugen would be on the magic. Could be that something has changed in the meantime.

Captain Thord Haugen was on the Xmas 10 day and I asked him if he was doing the May repo. He said that he was and that someone else would be captain for the Aug. repo.

Mickbee- and if it wasn’t leaking hydraulic fluid the ship would not fly. Have flown in a few (lots) of SAR missions.

How true it is! Orrr of they want to fly it when it isn't leaking, you keep your feet firmly planted on the gorund or the next SAR will be for you.

Has anyone thougth of booking a hotel day room for some of the ports? I think it is outrageous to for DCL to charge $49 / person for the Hilton in Curacau. I looked it up -- the facilities look very nice. But, a room only runs around $100. Since there are 4 of us, I'm thinking of just booking a room and trying to 'check in' early. I sent an email directly to the hotel. I'll post if I get a response.

Thanks Bill! That's what I thought I had read months ago. But of course things can change. Okay, I think I will order the certificates now...if it changes the worst thing that can happen is re-order
