First, thanks Hygiene 99 for keeping us up to date about everything that is going on.

My group will not be able to use speed dial Disney tomorrow morning to book excursions. In fact, we probably will not be able to book excursions for a couple of weeks. (We have one member of our group who is not yet sure she will be able to be with us.) There has been mention on this board about problems with excursions on the 10 day cruise. Could someone give me more info about that? If the excursions sold out quickly, were there other option that were readily availble (e.g. other tours you could book yourself once off the ship?)

And what color should the background of the oval be?

Well... since you asked.... here are my preferences (to ease the patch situation as well)

Lettering: White with exception to the word "Magic" which would be Red

Background: Aqua

Treetrunk: Black, instead of brown

For the patch, I have to limit the # of colors to 7... So I was thinking:

White: Oval, Lettering, Castle tops
Red: Smoke Stacks and "Magic"
Black: Oval, Tree trunk, Epcot 'dots', lower portion of ship
Aqua: Background
Medium Gray: Matterhorn and Epcot
Green: Tree
Pink: Castle

Just my .02....

The cutoff is nearing, so anyone else who might want to change their count should do it soon. I'm wondering about some of the really early posters who sent their info to Jeff, and haven't posted in months? I know of two cancellations, but what happened to the others? I know a few of us have extra's on order for anyone who signs on late. Makes me wonder though if we have lost more? Excursion booking is happening on Sunday, you would think it is time to get excited again!

FYI (for those keeping track) I was told this morning that I could not book excursions until the 23rd?!? I will be calling 6am Sunday!!

Does anyone have a good guess when we will get a room number? We are on guarantee status for a cat 4.

go into Disney Cruise Line's website, put in your reservation number and see if there is a room attached yet. Someone did this a couple of weeks ago and their room number had been assigned, and they hadn't been contacted. It's worth a try.

For those of you who met me on the 10 Day Christmas Cruise i want to tell you i had a blast! Due to classes and finals i cannot make it on this cruise...damn education... but i do have a couple of friends that will be joining you. One that will be posting is linda1961, take care of her like you did for me and my mum. Leslie she is a pin trader and she is another Linda...that makes it what 3 or 4 lindas. Well i will keep in touch. Miss the cruise so much. TTFN.

The problems on the 10 day were that on the first day of booking some of the CM's said you couldn't book, then they couldn't find the excursions since they had never been offered before. But then for other's, it was no problem at all. I think it was just who you talked to. Just be persistent and if the CM doesn't give you the answer you want, ask to talk to their supervisor or call back and you will probably get a different CM with a different answer! I asked them to immediately fax me confirmation so I had it in my hot little hands. I didn't get it. So in a couple of days I called back and talked to someone else and they had my excursion in there and they faxed me a confirmation.

The excursions did not book right away. The one that was popular and booked first was the Pirate Extravaganza at St. Lucia. The pirate ship was actually used in the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean and a couple of the pirates on the ship were actually extras in the filming of the movie. We all talked about it so much and were having so much fun getting pirate gear and such that I think all of us on the Dis boards had the pirate ship booked before any others had a chance. But I think it was open for about 30 days or so before it filled.

So, I think you are okay if you don't book your excursions on the first day. Just remember, you aren't charged, and you can cancel up to a couple of days before we leave, so I would just book as soon as you can.

Now, since I’m using this list to produce the name badges, I’m hoping that it can be as up to date as possible. Here are the IDs for those that appear to be missing in action:

Maybe we should make a LIST and have those that want the lanyard/badge PM one of us with the correct info etc. (Yes, I'll volunteer if necessary) That way we are not making a lot for people that might not show up or want them... ??? Just a thought.

You're right Robin, Matterhorn is best the way it is... a combo of white and grey. I didn't make that clear - thanks....

Also, the castle tops would probably look better either grey or black, instead of white like I earlier said.
