20050430 or... April 30, 2005 cruise, anyone?

We have also not received anything official yet.

Has anyone done the St. Maarten Island and Butterfly Farm tour????

How about the Paradise Point Tramway on St. Thomas???

I am getting obsessed about this cruise and these message boards!!

I am going to do the butterfly farm in St, Marteen, but not through DIsney. I don't like doing the excursions through Disney because they are just way to crowded for me and I don't like being herded on and off the bus with a time frame..I like going at my own pace. In St THomas we are goin to Megans Bay and I was thinking of checking out the tramway.

We had orginally planned on taking a town car from the port to the hotel, then using hotel shuttle to the port and then a town car back to the airport....well the towncar would cost more than me renting a car and keeping it hte whole 8 days AND parking it at port! The last 2 cruises it was just so easy to walk off the ship and have the porter load our bags right into our car and then drive to the airport so that is what we are going to do this time around too....I got an alamo mid size car for 101.00 for 8 days!

We've never been to Florida before and never on a cruise, so we just let the travel agent and Disney arrange everything. Maybe next time we will feel confident enough to arrange rent-a-car. motel, and excursions ourselves. Sounds like you are going to have fun the night before all together at the Hotel!
And your car arrangement sounds a lot more comfortable too!!

I can't stand the anticipation!!

Just for curiosity, I checked out the Disney Cruise Line site, and clicked on the dates for our cruise. There are SEVERAL more rooms available than before. In fact, the last time I checked, they only had Cat 4-7 available. Now they are showing up to Cat. 11 available. Could it be that since it is getting closer to cruise time that more inventory from travel agencies is being turned back over to Disney? Thoughts?

I thought about that too...I just figured they upgraded some people since less cat 5, 6 and 7's were there then the last time I checked....so I figured they upgrade some cat 11's. They really should have some way to do it like return cruisers are upgraded first, or whoever booked earliest are upgraded first....would work for me LOL!!

There is only 1 cat 6 left and that is a GTY status, Cat 7's there are only 3 left - 8 cat 5's left though! And over 8 Cat 11's left now!!!! I really hope I can buy an upgrade at port...I don't even care if they give me one but I really want to buy one!

BTW...those Cat 11's are now 3993.39 for my family, I paid 2750.00 back when I booked!

I noticed the change in price, as well. We are already in a Cat. 5 on Deck 7, but my parents are in a Cat. 10 (also on Deck 7) I keep hoping they will upgrade my parents to a Cat. 5--but it doesn't seem likely. We are also repeat cruisers, and paid off our balance early--it would be nice if there were some "perks" for that. What is the cost savings to upgrade at the port vs. now? What Category are you hoping for?

We are in an 11 now....last cruises were a cat 5 and a cat 6 so an 11 is a big change for us. I talked to some people who went from an 11 to a 6 at port for 600.00...I would do that in a heartbeat! I would even go for a 7 if it was available. I don't want a 9 because those are down on deck 2 or something like that.

I agree--We have loved Deck 7, and would like to stay there, or move to Deck 8! You just can't beat the convenience. We never used the elevator--we just took the stairs all the time, so we were able to avoid the hassle of waiting for the elevator we've read about.. It was great burning a few of those calories off from all the eating we did, too! This is my parent's first cruise, and I keep praying the experience will be as wonderful for them as it has been for us....

Okay gang, we're now a month out!!

Okay, suck in those tummies and get those bathing suits ready for inspection! :rotfl:

Ah, frozen margaritas, Mickey bars and cheesecake, here I come!! :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

No docs for us yet.,,,,everyday I wait to see if the UPS truck will stop here!! Saturday is my birthday so I am hoping hey come tomorrow as my birthday gift LOL!!
