I read on the WDW website that starting 1/2 they will have MYW ticket and resort packages? I wonder what the benefit will be to a package and if this will be how they promote room discounts. I am waiting for next set of room discounts but maybe it will be a whole package deal if they are going to promote MYW. I hope they have some deals :flower1:

I am curious what is included in the packages that they are touting as starting at $1500. By my calculations that is probably $200 more than it should be. I am figuring value season, value resort ($77) and 2 adult and 2 child base tickets. I added 6 % for tickets and 11 % for resort. What am I missing? Why would a pkg. be so much more? A "free" lanyard for $200 maybe? LOL

It does say starting LESS than $1500(value), $1800(moderate), or$2500(deluxe), so maybe that gives room for big discounts, otherwise why would you buy a package? How busy will the phone lines be January 2nd? Hopefully the changes will bring good things. :cheer2:

Tax on the tickets is 6.5% and on the rooms it is 11.5% but I don't think that will change much in your calculations!!

I will call tonight to add my extra night and not wait unitl 1/02/05.

Who ever told you to call before Jan 2 was wrong.

The software will not be in place to book the new packages until 01/02/05.

Just called at 10:30 am Sunday morning and CM told me to call back later this evening when they expect to have the "system" updated. Can't believe disney would annouce these major changes without having everything up and running first.

I didn't quite understand the concept of Disney not everything in place either. I guess it's not for me to understand!?!?!?!?

the kabuki,

According to WDW website it still says under there new MYW ticket and package information that these will be available starting 1/2/05 for purchase. You would think that if they were releasing this early that they would not have that one there site.

I would love it if this evening if I got online and was able to get a quote. It would really clear up alot of questions I have and wondering if I should do a package or AAA rate and tickets seperately. I really want to do the package so I can get the dinning option added on, since what I have been hearing Disney TA is that you can't add the dinning option to a room only ticket.

The updates that are being done now are part of the new packages, however as the website and press release stated, these packages cannot be booked until 01/02/05.

The CM's still need to be trained on this new system - many of us know more about the new tickets/packages than they do at this point. It will take until 1/2/2005 to get everyone trained.

This is from the disney site below those quotes

Price based on 2 adults, 1 junior and 1 child occupying one standard room during regular season in 2005. Lower prices apply during value seasons in 2005.

I hope this helps as its during regular season.
