Gail,
My kids have been out of school twice this year...first for my daughter's wedding on
DCL, then we took 10 days to go to Bonaire. One is in 5th grade, the other 7th. The schools weren't too pleased, but SO WHAT! We had their homework ahead of time. I didn't make them do it on vacation. We did some before we left, and they spent the weekend after we returned to do the rest. They each kept a journal of our travels both times, and their teachers let them use those as credit. Turns out, they took in a lot more info than I did, and reading their journals helped me with our pictures and scrapbook! Especially for Bonaire, where there is a lot of history (slavery, salt mining)...I'm amazed at how much they learned and wrote down.
The last time I had to change airline tickets, it was $100 per person. Don't do it. Give your kids the experience of life.
Virgil, if you go to Vegas in March, do you know when it will be?
I'll be there the first weekend in March, and also on the 19-22nd.
Maybe we could have our own DIS Meet. Bring your DW!!
Taking off for now....let's see that 2000 before I go to bed tonight....hopefully
before midnight this time!!
