gee it is warm there......... ......... here in Boston it is 6 with the wind chill of -15 and they say tonight will be worse......................

Hey it is New England weather - the weekend will probably be 60!

Thanks for the prespective. They have wind chill warnings out here. The wind chill is going to get to 40 degrees.

It's funny, but they really do put out wind chill warnings when it is going to be in the 40's.

I guess that it is all same - my sister lives in Florida and 40 means a winter coat for her - 40 here is a light jacket. I guess it is all what you are used to.

But, today I would love to have your chilly weather - 40 would be a heat wave!

OH MY. A friend told me about this today at swim, gym and art and I'm going to try it. You go assemble you dinners at this place (no prep work, no cutting, no clean up) and then bring them home and freeze them. For about $200 you get 12 entrees (although we'd get more than that b/c one entree feeds 4-6 adults and no way the kids would eat that much so I'd split them in 2 and end up with 24.) You can pick your meals from a menu that changes monthly and most stuff looks pretty darn good (better than I'm cooking at home!) It takes about 2-2.5 hours to go through the process.

Checked that one out - looks real interesting - what a concept! There is only one here in Massachusetts - and it is over an hour away from me. Maybe if they open another one closer to Boston I'll check it out. I book marked the site

Thank you for trying to not hurt my feelings. But it is common knowledge that I DO need help. I'd seen these before....I think it's a great idea.
Especially for the "Cooking Challenged" like me!!

And so, the saga continues.....

No Molly again today. I went back to our local Animal Rescue, and left them the poster of her. While I was there, one of their stray cats decided I looked yummy, and bit my arm. I didn't think much of it at first.
I went to the office, Jay and the new guy (forgot his name already)...asked if I had checked to see if the cat had gotten its shots. Well, no...I didn't ask.
I called Animal Rescue. No shots for the cat, he was a stray. They advised me to call my doctor.
Called the doc, I have an appointment for 11:00 tomorrow. At the very least, they will want to put me on antibiotics. Worst: series of shots for rabies. Oh goodie.
So, Animal Rescue head person calls me back, offering to pay all of my medical bills, apoligizing profusely. All I really want is my dog back.

I talked to Mom today, she sounded really good. She has pain from the surgery, but it doesn't seem as bad to her as the pain from before. Could it be the morphine??? But I'm glad she sounded good. They had her up in a chair already today. Cool.

Maybe Molly decided that it's her turn to go on vacation. Hope she gets home soon. How did you get bitten by that cat? Was it loose in the shelter? I hope they're at least observing it, shots don't sound good.

Good to hear that your Mom is doing well.

My thought on the DreamDinners place - they need one in Orlando! Wouldn't that be perfect for our long DVC stay next summer?

Wow, Stacey! It is beginning to look like a soap opera! Hope you have a Happy Ending - like tonight there is scratch at the door and there is Molly!

I would like to ask if everyone could keep Boston and New York in their prayers tonight - I don't know if this story has gone national yet - but we are under a terrorist watch - First story is that the FBI got a phone call about 6 persons - then our Mayor and the Governor came on the TV and said not to worry our safety officials have things under control - I will post the some of the story below. Then an Hour later - they have 4 pictures! But they got this info from a telephone tip? Our Governor left Washington DC to come home to be on top of this - he was there for the President Inagural tomorrow.

We live right in downtown Boston - and my husband is at work at the FleetCenter - Celtics game..............

The FBI has triggered a massive manhunt for six people -- four Chinese and two Iraqis -- who may pose a terrorist threat to the city of Boston, law enforcement officials briefed on the threat said today.

The six are suspected of having come into the United States from Mexico, and may have headed to New York and then to Boston, the target of a planned attack that could involve a lethal substance, possibly chemical or biological or explosive, three law enforcement officials briefed on the threat said.

The tip about the threat was given to the FBI by only one person, the officials said, and it had not been corroborated as of this afternoon.

We have friends in law enforcement and my husband is Chief in superior court, so we also hear what the public doesn't - todate we have never had an all out alert - with all of our resources going into effect - our Mayor is in the FEMA bunker etc............ so this threat really does concerns me.

I think I will open a nice bottle of wine so I can relax!
