LOL Jim, when you posted about next Fall (2006) I was thinking, oh that sounds good. Maybe Alaska on Holland America. Then SLAP! Back to reality! We're good for a cruise every OTHER year, remember? And we've already got one booked for 2006. I think Kevin needs a (much) higher paying job. Just for starters, we'd need a nanny to drive and hold the homework whip over DD's head while we're gone.
Just the lottery Hon. But I guess you actually have to play to win, eh? Just think how much "less expensive" it will be with just the two of us....

And another TOP pirate:

Sharon, that was lovely, thank you.

So here's a conversation recently held in the kitchen:
Mom: What would you think of Dad & I going on a cruise this Fall, without you?
DD: What? No way!
Mom: But it's during school.
DD: I don't care! I want to go on a cruise!
Mom: But it's all adults, kind of like Palo every night.
DD: (doubtfully) mmmm, well Ok. What grade will I be in?
Mom: It's next Fall, you'll be in 9th.
DD: (starting to panic) But who will drive me to school?
Dad: You can walk to school!
DD: (full on panic) nnnuuuuhhh!

Dads are so helpful. The itinerary is lovely, too, I looked it up. Pencil us in for Nov. '09, OK?

November 16 - 26 2005. We'd love for you to join us. :grouphug:

Would you mind posting this over on the Double Scoop Group thread and tell Mike that I need to go on this cruise?? ;)

So I ask naively: How much is THAT cruise?

DW: If you have to ask, you can't afford it!!!

I guess!!! :guilty:

Well, the world cruise 2005 (which leaves Saturday) starts at 39,900 (for the cheap room) I told Mike as I was gasping and he said "really, when you think about it, it's not that much considering what we just spent on the 10 day"

oh...well, put that way....
(although we didn't have the cheapest room on the 10 day)...

oh, and now that I think about it....that's probably 39,900 PER PERSON.....ours was only about $9K for FOUR....

It's apples and oranges. No comparison.

Now that would really be a challenge to find a "LDS" at every port on THAT cruise!!!

Well, you all spent last night thinking about it. What do you think? 10 days with Crystal over Thanksgiving 2005 going through the Panama Canal.

Anybody in?

Matt and Lisa were bumming a little last night as I told them I would be cancelling our Cat 3 for all of us for that week. They tried to get me to send them with Grandma and Grandpa while we were on Crystal. No way. They think anything over $300 per person is way to expensive.

Sorry Matt and Lisa, I'm sure there will be another cruise in your future.

VANESSA is at school right now, I'll tell her she is needed again.

GOOD MORNIN ALL

another day at work.

Just tell her to bottle the good luck. We would all make out like pirate:

Speaking of Pirates, a TOP pirate:

Morning all. I'll try to help us with the 25k goal.

Are we going to try to move this over to the Community Board? Or just let them close it out at 25k?

I did finish my trip reports, so if anyone has a few hours to kill you're welcome to take a look. If things are quiet again this week, I'll try to figure out the picture posting thing. It was really slow at work, so I was able to get the trip report all done using the high speed hook up. Our dial up just won't support picture uploads!

GaRry, thanks for the update, and I'm glad it's not cancer. Keeping you and the family in my prayers. If we weren't not on the way to anywhere, you could visit us when you dropped off the trailer, but a trip to us is a 3 hour detour for anyone!

Happy Monday to all! Lisa

morning all. Just back from curves. I will run Jeanne over to another sister for a day or two and have the house to myself :cool1:

my niece, Sarah, is going to Alaska with us. Yeah! We will start looking at shore excursions. The dog sled ride, seeing a glacier, average temp of 65. A lot different from the caribbean.
