You are talking about 4:30 AM, right?

If you'd like to exchange by yourself, yes. If you'd like the company of others, 4:30 PM would be better!

Yep, I am 15. Actually 15 1/2. lol doesnt matter. Mississippi you have to be 15 to get permit and have to hold permit 6 months to get junior license.

:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: Yikes! 15???!?! That just seems so young for most teens. I know, some are mature enough to handle it....but many aren't! Wow!

Do yourself a favor and encourage Mac & Cheese, chicken fingers. If I did that I would not have to share my Chilean Sea Bass or Group St. Jacques tonight.

But all you have to cook for dinner is Chilean Sea Bass or Group St. Jacques. If we were having Chilean Sea Bass or Group St. Jacques, we'd also have to cook a DIFFERENT meal for the kids. That gets annoying.

I love the idea of an ornament exchange as long as it's not a homemade ornament. If it was, no one would ever want to put it on their tree.

Mine is only homemade b/c it's an extra I made 2 years ago. :) So, whoever gets it will have a story to tell with it...."yes, it's from our cruise in 2004..."
"then why does it say 2002???" :)

Yea its young lots of states are 15. California was 15 but raised the age before we left. Florida is 15, georgia is and I think massahusetts. Other states are but I dont know all of them. I just think driving is dangerous if some teen just doesnt care when driving he will be dangerous. I am scared my self driving which I am told its better to be scared rather then not care at all. I drive us around to different places now, just have to adult over 21 with me.

Matt

P.S. I am going to drive part of the way to the cruise!

Been there, done that. For years. Yes, it is so nice when you can just prepare the same dinner for everyone, which we have been able to do for about two years now, I think since the first cruise when she was 11. It's sort of like, "when did she start liking mushrooms?". It still happens occasionally, but usually only when we are making something with green chile.

IMPORTANT....IMPORTANT (I have not been playing with all the fonts and colors so this message would all be in red)

Don't force it or even encourage your kids eating the good food!!!!!

Haven't anyone of you notice the problem I created by encouraging my kids to eat the good food. Haven't you been paying attention to what I have been posting?

STOP NOW!! For you own sakes. Keep the good stuff for yourselves. DW and I have to fight for our good food. DS and DD want it.

I only wish I could go back to the days of DS being happy with a hot dog!!

Do yourself a favor and encourage Mac & Cheese, chicken fingers. If I did that I would not have to share my Chilean Sea Bass or Group St. Jacques tonight.

Kids should be told that steak and seafood make little children very, very sick.

HA HA HA! Dh tells me the story of when he used to go to his relatives in West Virginia (not the area Virgil lives in...dh went to the BACKWOODS area)

One day the kids were out playing and one of they yelled "SNAKE." The overweight, barefoot, missing teeth aunt comes out with a shotgun and "blam, blam, blam, blam," No more snake!!!
Stop it, you are KILLING me!!!   Here I am at work, trying to look like I'm working and NOT day dreaming about leaving for vacation in just a few days, and you all are making me bust up laughing.

Confession? Hm...DH is really mad at me for giving you all our cabin # for the mini-nav and Tag game. He's kind of a private person and is afraid that folks will just come randomly knocking on our cabin door. I tried to tell him that nobody would abuse it, but he's a bit skeptical. Anyway, I hope he really enjoys meeting you all as much as I will on the 18th and that his fears will subside some.

Jeri, I'm so sorry about your break-in. That's not what you need just before leaving on vacation. Glad you've already got a plan in place for

I'm still a few pages behind, but has anyone heard from Gus? Just curious to know how his appointment went today.

Oh, and now I'm just a chatting fool. Long ago, someone posted that a pretty famous Disney person would be on the cruise with us...has the identity of that person been revealed yet? Just curious... :cat:

Cheers, Kara

Alicia was never that crazy about steak, she kind of preferred chicken. Then, on our cruise last year she discovered rare steak. You should have seen her face when they brought it to her in error! Then she tried it...

Gus - hope you get good news from the doctor today. We'll be thinking about you.

Thanks LeiLani...........

So I said to the technician......... I know why I had to come back here today.
( to confirm a hernia )

If you see it, can you tell me anything, I asked.

NO, was her answer.

Guess I'll just have to wait until the radiologist and my Doctor talk.

I'm not too worried, I'm not missing this trip.

By the way, that lengthy "things to pack" list that David posted yesterday..........

I shopped and spend a lot of money today.

Still don't have anything packed.
I don't recall ever packing for a trip 10 days out.

OK tomorrow the suitcases come up from the basement. :teleport: :teleport: :teleport: :teleport: :teleport:

Sorry, Karen. I don't think we have any secrets left to confess. We've already shared them all in the last year and a half!

How about a wine exchange instead of the ornaments? :Pinkbounc

See, you're a good parent. You've got one of the three main elements down. I'm POSITIVE you also bribe and lie, so that launches you into "exemplary parent!" ;)

Mary and Mark, on the other hand, have probably NEVER bribed, lied to, or threatened Bear.... so their standing is not as high in the parenthood rating.

Then again, if I had a child like Bear who never caused trouble, I may not have to do those things!
