Oh my goodness, I can't even go away for 48 hours without having 30 pages to read! I took notes as I went so I wouldn't forget things, so find your name below.....(you may be on there more than once!)
Diana--as of right now, Nick will have a total of 16 performances to do. They could add more if school groups book some of the school matinee spots that are currently empty. So far we have 3 of those done and they went well...although he still needs to be LOUDER!!!
Mary, here's my list:
- We aren't putting up a tree...being gone for over 2 weeks and having a new puppy is not conducive to a tree
- I'm not in the mood to watch White Christmas--right now it's POURING rain!!

Not sure why but one of my things got eaten...it said "we aren't sending out cards this year, haven't in years, our friends probably think we are already dead."
Virgil, We saw Christmas with the Kranks on Thanksgiving day. Not my favorite movie in the world, but I liked it better than every critic did. It was timely that it was a cruise vacation over Christmas!

We love the audio book, so we enjoyed the movie--esp the Botox scene!!
All, I'm doing the DOC dance. They must have arrived yesterday while I was gone b/c they were waiting on the kitchen table for me when I got home today!!

That is just WONDERFUL!! We are all going to get on this ship as friends!! We're going to have a blast!
The Piper G suprise story was pretty cool!!
Mary/Stacey, What's the "velvet skirt" in reference to?
Stacey, no idea what top # you have. I came up with that list at one point, but threw out my paper. So I haven't kept up with it from that point.
Bubbles....Can't believe the number of bubbles we'll have. Maybe we need to make labels that say "compliments from your friends at www.disboards.com" and stick them on...then hand them out to non-DIS kids!
Mark,
Thanks for the warning about you not being able to hear well and forgetting names. I'm sorry, were we separated at birth? I also have trouble hearing if there is a lot of extraneous noise or if people mumble. And remembering names! HA! Can't do it! I have a lousy memory. I say stupid things like "One time I went to see the Rockettes, they were pretty good." And the person I'm talking to says "yeah, remember, I was there with you!!!" Oh!
Therese,
I hear ya about dh packing. Mine ONLY has to pack for himself. I have to pack for myself AND two kids. This last trip to Disney we were unpacking and he said "Oh (*&^*##!!!" I said "what?" He said "I didn't pack any shorts!" So he LIVED in the only pair of shorts he had...the ones he wore down. Luckily he didn't wear jeans down!
Tina,
Did you end up snagging the Nintendo you wanted?
xmascruise04--WELCOME!!!
Diana,
Nope, we saw the infamous "Columbus, Ohio Rockettes!!" Actually their travellling troupe.
Mark, sorry about your fish. We got a tank for Nick about 2 years ago. Up until recently it's been a nightmare! For about 5 months the water was pea green and no matter what we did it stayed that way. I was this close |---| to buying a UV sterilizer for a 10 gallon tank!!!
Cam-fam, I believe it was...
Make sure you explain to your kids from the get go that fish die....easily. Luckily we did this for tenderhearted Nick so he wasn't surprised when his fish died after 12 hours, 1 week or 1 month (as the case may be) We explained it wasn't like a dog or a cat or a human....their life spans were much shorter (or we were doing something that killed them!)
Stacey,
what in the world do you mean by "I have a question for anyone who knows fashion?" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been emailing you with fashion questions. YOU are my fashion consultant. Now I'm going to have to rethink my whole cruise wardrobe! Actually stopped at Coldwater Creek (almost typed Cave Creek) on the way home today to try on the dress I showed you. I was informed I'm NOT allowed to buy it!!! And the kids demanded to know which size fit the best. I have the feeling something is up!
Tina,
We are also celebrating Christmas the weekend before. And KT will get her iPod then...all charged and loaded with songs and audio books. The kids went to see Santa yesterday and I found out what they wanted. One of the things was something I had bought, but had "sold" to my mom to give them...and I had to "buy" it back!! ACK!! Every year they only ask for ONE thing, so I think we'll take that on the cruise along with some stocking stuffers.
Sue,
I hear ya about being in a deck 8 cabin. We were upgraded the last time and I hated it. We, too, must have been right under a ping pong table. Sitting on the verandah was just not enjoyable with all the noise. Hear that Disney, don't upgrade me this time!!!!
gaRry,
Glad to hear Vicki is doing well. I had the same thing done a few years ago. She'll need to take it easy for awhile. No heavy lifting, no cleaning, no cooking. But she should be good to go for the cruise. I'm assuming, based on your post, that they were able to do it via lap.
I think that's it...Took me a couple of hours to catch up!! Well, between all the posts and a needy puppy who is completely off her sedatives. Belly is looking very good. We're keeping her from being too crazy active though b/c the vet said there are internal stitches that still could come undone.
