The whole losing thing is a good point. My oldest (DS 11 yo) is especially prone to losing things.

Does anyone else have a DS 11, DS 8 or DD 6yo?

Also, do the kids typically get dressed up for the Captain's GALA?

Sarah, my DS is 11. Tina (tinkfan's) son is also 11, and I think there's a few others out there.

My DS will be wearing a suit for formal night, and the same jacket with contrasting pants for semi-formal. Got a good deal from JC Penneys online (I think it was $40 for jacket and two pair of dress pants).

Tina/Stace: I've got the opposite thing with my DS. His crewcut was getting bushy, so I took him to get it trimmed up Friday. He came out with it practically shaved! He told me that he had her do it on a #1 trimmer, because "Mom, you spent the money to get it cut, I wanted you to get your money's worth." I figure it should be grown out about right by cruise time!

Boy customer service at USAir has certainly gone downhill. I just called to get seat assignments and alert them I have a wheel chair. The woman I spoke with couldn't have cared less I have only 40 minutes to change planes in Charlotte with the wheel chair. I am glad we are going down the day b4 so I don't have to sweat the small stuff.
