Too funny. I dance too. Not well. Usually only if I've had a couple of drinks, but I make an exception for sail away parties and I dance completely sober.

Couple of sail away dance stories. The first cruise they did the electric slide. I didn't know the electric slide, but I was determined to try. I was getting run over by the ppl who knew how to do it. Well, ohiomickey was taping. The video tape is telling....there's me, stumbling and fumbling. There's the ppl next to me doing it PERFECTLY, including one lady who was holding a full drink! So for cruise #1 I was DETERMINED to do it well. I checked out a video from the library (the dancers all looked 10) and I learned it!!!!

Second story. The moves are different on the Magic than they are on the Wonder. So after 3 Wonder cruises, I was feeling good. I knew all the moves. I was smooth and looked cool. And then the Magic cruise staff went and did different moves. Well, I had no idea they were doing different moves b/c I was looking at the kids, smiling, laughing, dancing. Then I looked up and was horrified b/c I was doing it all wrong.

So again I was back to being a dancing loser!

USMC B-day ball tomorrow

We will be taking a maring friend of gaRry's and his wife (he is a vet of the Korean war) The ball is always a big deal. I will get to try out some of my cruise formal wear.

I resemble that remark! Only it had to be cider vinegar. Don't ask me why. But that smell definitely brings back sunburns! Of course, we got the sunburns, because we used baby oil on our skin. SPF..... what's that???

Being a strawberry blonde might have something to do with it too.

Vicki, our marine birthday ball is next Saturday here. We've never been, but you can imagine it (and the Navy Ball) are big deals here in Navy town. I loaned one of my formals to a lady from church who's going with her Marine DH.

OK, getting ready for final preps and was thinking about Christmas Day.

1. Does anyone know yet the dates of the formal nights? I was betting that Christmas Eve or Christmas night will surely be one.

2. Does anyone know if cell phones will work on St. Thomas or St. John? It would be nice to call and "brag" about being on the beach while everyone at home is FREEZING!

I'm also getting anxious waiting for that special treasure chest of documents which I believe will be arriving within the next 2 weeks!

Still no idea about formal nights..... Depends on which provider you have - but most will work (AT&T/Cingular do)...

Ok, so if I have one that will work (Nextel is my carrier) what are we talking in ROAMING charges? Does it cost an arm and a leg to call the US? I know my mom will want to call the three children she abandoned to be with me.

Speaking of.....we had a lot of trouble getting Mike's cousin to come out and finish. So my dad installed the toilet/vanity/counter/faucet/shower fixture/medicine chest and wall chest. He also ripped out the bad wood on a small linen closet and reframed that up. Cut up all the casing and baseboard that we need and now we just have to attach it. Lookin' good.

Just have to caulk up the shower and I think it's about good to go!
