Navajo taco.....yummmmmyyyy. Back from the lake, got the boat, now had to read many pages.

Okay, glad we will have a continuing party on deck 6 next year!!!!

Linda

GarRy, sorry you and the horse had a run in. I know how that feels (don't ask me how?)

We all should know enough to stay away from "horses behinds" eh?

I'm so jealous of those of you going on the DVC cruise. Are you going to be making two CC stops again? We get to do that if we go on the cruise we've booked in 2006, but so far none of this group is going. No fun!

and from letting horses sneak up behind us...chomp.....
AARGH...This pirate was careless about that in her youth...don't ask.....was early chapter in interesting life...Har, har...

Sorry about your face re-arrangement! I know from several face plants...THAT HURTS!

Thanks for the Navajo taco Linda. They get no better anywhere than out there.

GaRy, ouch man. My thoughts are with you.

Stacey, Stacey , Stacey.tch tch tch. I probably would have done the same thing.

Found sandals for DH today. Still looking for me. You would think that So. Cal. you wouldn't have any trouble finding this stuff. Off to the surf shops tomorrow.

Everyone watching the series or what?
cheers -D

Spent the afternoon watching the #1 team, GO TROANS :cheer2: win one more. Started slow, but warmed up second half.

GaRy, ouch! Thinking of you.

Stacey is right. Everyone needs to lie low, stay safe and well until Dec.

Talking to myself.:chat:

So just for grins:
A fisherman having arrived at the edge of the river soon realized
he had forgotten to bring any bait. Just then he happened to see
a little snake passing by who had caught a worm. The fisherman
snatched up the snake and robbed him of his worm.

Feeling sorry for the little snake with no lunch, he snatched him
up again and poured a little wine down his throat and went about his fishing. An hour or so later the fisherman felt a tug at his pant leg. Looking down, he saw the same snake with three more worms.

:teeth:

Definitely an interesting baseball game....

Guess I get to go into work early - got a head's up that one of my doc's isn't going to show up for her last shift.....Definitely ruins the day - but I'm happy that it's the last time I'll have to deal with her....

Hope that everyone is having a good weekend!

Diana - no this one isn't going to CC twice. We'll do Key West, a day at Sea, CC and then home. Tips are included in the price which is a nice little benefit.

It's nice having it booked because after knowing how much fun we're going to have on the 10 day I was bummed not to have another already booked. We were looking at booking a Western while on board then they announced this.

The best thing is we'll be sailing with so many great DIS'ers we've already met and even some of our fellow 10 dayers!

Your post got me wondering............doctors don't whine more than firefighters, do they?

By the way........I'm curious, what does TFD stand?

Its funny, here it used to stand for " Toronto Fire Department "
We are TFS now.....S for Services.

Hope you have a quiet one.

Just think 8 more weeks

Gus

Yep - they definitely whine - too.....

TFD - my Pirate name.....

LESS than 8 weeks now....:teeth:

Very good......I remember your pirate name now.

Yes indeed less than 8 weeks now. Even better.

Do you know or does anyone know......when is the earliest you can check-in onto the ship on the 18th?

What time is the DCL office open (at the pier) on the 18th?

Thanks

Gus

LESS than 8 weeks???? oh no...that is way too soon.....
I'll never be ready in time. I still have to pack. I still have to lose 50 pounds.....I still have to learn to keep my big mouth shut....
(no soccer games on the ship, right??)
Someone needs to get a hold of my daily navigators, and delete anything remotely competitive...like a family game....things could get ugly if I go.

Okay....I do believe that I got all of my PM thingies deleted..thanks Mark & GaRry!

We went to dinner at TGI Fridays for my friend's birthday, then to her house for cheesecake...make that 52 pounds to lose....
My friend has two daughters of my beloved kitty...rest her little mouse-catching soul. I almost hate to go see "the girls"..they look so much like their mama. My friend bought the girls a little wrought iron bed...and they actually sleep in it! We watched the SOX ....and had a good time.

Gus, I'm thinking that DCL doesn't like to have us at the port terminal until about 11:00....anyone else?

Off to bed....more fun stuff to do tomorrow!

BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS!!

And an early Happy Birthday to Mary Ann:cake: :bday:

And also a Happy Birthday to Joe...Dee's hubby!!:bday: :cake:

Good Night!!

Stacey

:flower1: Good Morning Cruisers! :flower1:

Blessed Sunday everyone!

:cake: Happy Birthday Mary Ann! :cake:

:cake: Happy Birthday Joe! :cake:

Doc - sorry to hear you are pulling extra shifts. Kind of what I was facing a couple of weeks ago. We had to let someone go and not only did I have to pick up her work - but it was a major mess. Not as important as your work - but still something to get through. Good luck.

GaRry - hope today finds you feeling a little bit better.

Well off to read the boards and then to church we go. Have a great day everyone!

Almost forgot to mention. Did you notice there is another teen thread for another cruise. See what trend the kids started. They can be proud they were first!

I don't know what's more dangereous - your profession or your hobby!

Mary I couldn't have said it better!!

I'm really busy keeping the DH & DS patched up.

Sorry I didn't make it to chat or on the boards Saturday. I got called home from the football game Friday to take care of the injured, got called into work at 3am, them sat in ER with DH most of the day Sat. too tired to read, let alone think!!

Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Mary how many weeks was the first official week countdown? It has been a wonderful time counting down with all of our friends.
8 weeks until we are all together, on the Magic - WOW.

Good Morning ALL

Thank you so much for the Brithday Wishes:earsgirl:

And A Very Happy Birthday to Joe!!!

Not such a good day yesterday. My nieghbor (and best friend) was taken to the emergency room after fainting and being "out of it" for hours. She is still there and they are running all sorts of tests. She has heart palpitations that she was told are nothing to be concerned about months ago but now they think they are the cause of this. I am very concerned but all's I can do is wait.

On a lighter note.....
DH came home from shopping yesterday proudly announcing, "I've got my suit".(something I have been bugging him to do for a month). And I got 4 shirts and 4 ties and 4 pair of pants and dress shoes that don't hurt my Fred FLinstone feet(size 11 EEE) AND "we're broke":earseek: .

Gee, I hope there was something left over for my present:( .

Stacey...all's I can say is..."OOPS". I know how you feel though. DD plays soccer and some of these girls are brutal and I am not sure the rough play is an accident.

GaRy, hope you fell better soon. And yes, no one do anything the least bit dangerous in the next eight weeks.

Have a Great Sunday Everyone!!!

Good Sunday Morning Everyone!

:bday:

Happy Birthday Mary Ann & Joe! :cake:

gaRry - sure hope you and DS are feeling better. Take it easy with those horses.

A little side story - 3 years ago on Oct 20th, Alyssa broke her arm while riding a scooter. Last year she came home one afternoon complaining that she had fallen off her scooter and her knee hurt. Took her to the clinic for X-rays and Rich(her Dad) said she was okay. The next afternoon she was complaining of her right hand hurting really bad, so we called Rich again. He said bring her up in the morning for X-rays just to be safe. Sure enough her wrist was fractured. As we were driving home it dawned on me that she had broken her arm on Oct 20th again(2 years later) while riding a scooter. So the scooter is now banned on Oct 20th in our house and I wouldn't even let her jump on the trampoline this year. Now we will have to wait and see what happens next year. I told her I am going to wrap her in cotton and let her sit on the couch. :p
