Just checking in for my mid-afternoon hello!

Have a nice night, everyone...talk to you later!

Gail......so sorry to hear you will not be joining us.

It is a real shame, I wanted to meet everyone on this thread.

Perhaps we'll meet on some other cruise.

Please stay in touch and keep checking in.

By the way........I have no idea what MCMCP tickets are.

I'll have to do a search on the home page to learn about it. I think I recall several people talking about it. (Christmas Party includes a dinner at a Hotel)

Excuse my ignorance, you have to remember, this is our first Disney Cruise.

If you haven't put anything in your tag box, it defaults to welcomed guest until you hit 75 or so posts, then it goes to Veteran. But if you put something in that box (Gus and Angie, you both have a personal message there) that replaces the veteran thingie. Don't you love the technical term "Thingie?" I think I used up all my knowledge with "complimentarily"!

Gail, as I said in my pm, we are very sorry you won't be joining us for the cruise. I hope things go well on the job site, and you're able to enjoy a January family cruise!!

And Angie, I'm sorry I missed saying Happy Anniversary. But this way you can say you've celebrated an extra day :)))))

I'll post our evening experience next. Lisa

Thanks Lisa...........will "a fearless firefighter fit there"

Wait a minute ..that would be afffft

Wow, I got a top, and it looks like I'm talking to myself :)

More on the real estate front. Last night, our buyer started getting really anxious that we were "shopping" his offer (i.e. waiting for someone else to offer us more to get into a bidding war). So we went ahead and signed his contract, which gives us rent-back through the end of February with an option to rent back until the end of March. This means we don't have to move til after the cruise. And given the next info, we may only have to move twice.

Now as to where we are moving TO. There is an extremely nice planned community in our area named Wildewood. It has a nice shopping center with a grocery store, bookstore, couple of restaurants (including Outback), bank, Penneys, and my old Tae Kwon Do school. There are neighborhood recreation areas, a community pool, and clubhouses for most of the areas. There are some condos, some townhouses, a retirement center, and about 1200 single family houses up right now. It's the place that most people want to live in this area. Well, it turns out that there are two lots left in the last section which is being done by the original builder (He started this in 1974). So we went and looked yesterday afternoon, and I think that's where we're going to build. They are estimating late February for delivery, which would give us a month to spare in case anything got delayed. I really do think this is answered prayer, since this kind of thing just DOESN'T become available down here! We'll decide by Friday on that option!

Now the not so good news. When we got home, there was a phone call that FIL is back in the hospital. He's had 2 more episodes where the defibrillator had to fire. The doctors are going to try a different medicine to regulate his heart, and are probably going to change his pacemaker out (remember the battery is showing signs of wear) while he's in there. I was going to make their final payment Friday, but I'm going to wait until we get the cardiologists recommendation before doing this now. Prayers and pixie dust would be welcomed please!!!

Here's hoping for a less eventful day? Take care everyone, Lisa

Lisa....hope all goes well for your FIL.

Gail - so sorry to hear to you had to cancel the cruise and we are goign to miss meeting you. I sent you a PM

Mary - the 3pm DIS mee sounds good to us. That is usually where we get a spot for sailaway anyway, so we'll go to the meet then lifeboat drill and then back to Deck 10 for sailaway.

Lisa - sorry to hear about FIL we are sending thoughts and prayers.

So the lifeboat drill is just prior to the sailaway.....I'm learning some Disney stuff tonight.

Gail - so sorry to hear about you having to cancel. DW was looking forward to shopping with one of the few that like to shop....

Stacey - the video is awesome - they should have given the "welder from Cave Creek" more exposure.... The railing is really incredible.... Nice house too....

I think that the 3pm meet is perfect to get us started - then we can go to the drill - and then those that want to can meet up for sailaway... bubbles and all.....

Have a great Thursday!

Gail, I'm so sorry you can't sail with us! I was looking forward to meeting you :sad2:
I hope you have a good time in January.

Lisa -- your FIL is in my thoughts. I hope he gets well soon. On a happier note, the house option sounds wonderful! Good luck on that.

Stacey -- WOW! That's all I can say. And the link (incl. video) worked well for me, so you posted it just right!

Gus, the Fearless FireFighter was my post (sorry, Angie!) :teeth:

Have a great day everyone. Gail, I miss you already! :(

Sorry Dee

Yup. Cruisers Meet 3pm, Lifeboat Drill at 4pm, sailaway party at 5pm.

And another thing, There is no rule that says you have to wait for the drill alarm to arrive at your lifeboat station. Go a bit early and you can avoid the rush.

afff - it will fit. If it gets too long it just wraps around - check out some of the other tags. Yours will fit!

LeiLani - Got your pm and sent you a return one.

The rush is the best part of the drill!

Hi everyone. Thank you all for your kind wishes and thoughts.

Lisa, pixie dust your way with prayers for your FIL.

Mary did you get my 2 e mails I sent today????

If I didn't follow the herd, I wouldn't know where my station was!
Even if I have been in the same room for both cruises!

Watching Survivor.....TTYL

Long day... had a bunch of things to get done - and then had an interview with a new doc. Took her and her husband out to dinner... Seemed like she would fit in.....

I get to work the next 4 days - yech... but have to pay for the cruise....

Hope that everyone has a great night!

Ok, will try to catch up here and I'm sure I'll miss some things....

Lisa, Praying that your FIL comes through this without problems. Congrats on the house! Sounds like a nice place to live....kinda like celebration. I'd LOVE to live somewhere where I could walk to get a gallon of milk or walk to the bank when I needed too. I hate having to DRIVE everywhere.

afffffffftfff....Don't worry about being a cruise newbie. We'll hold your hand! :) And you'll rebook on board, so think of how experienced you'll feel on your second Disney cruise.

Stace, what'd ya think of Survivor. Those boys aren't playing very smart. They expect to win any challenges with the ones they have left????? Looks like next week there will be a shake up. It'll be the last reality show I'll get to watch before we head off for the world. Ack, withdrawl! :)

Ok, funny life boat drill story.....May '03, our first Disney cruise. It's lifeboat drill time. I go to the closet to get our lifevests (PFD's) and I pull one out....kid size. The next one....kid size. The next one....it's got a big "L" on it. Yuck....Pull the next one out....another "L" on it. I look at ohiomickey and say "I don't want a Large, I want a Medium!!!" He nearly wets himself laughing at me. I stand there stunned and repeat myself saying that I don't want to go out there and have everyone see I'm a Large....I want to squeeze myself into a Medium!!! But alas, there were no "M" in the closet, so I wore my "L"arge and proceeded to assembly station "L"!!! Our next cruise I think we were assembly station "F" and for another we were "P" Luckily I haven't had to be "L"arge again!!! Whew! But this next cruise will be in our original stateroom (DON'T UPGRADE ME DCL UNLESS IT'S TO A SUITE!) so I'll be "L"arge again!

Hi Gail - got them and your pm. Just a crazy day. I've sent you a pm.

Be glad they don't have assembly station XXXXXL

Seriously, all you have to do to find your station is pull out the lifevests, and follow the overhead signs. I think it's also on a map someplace in the cabin(back of the door?).

OM - too funny on the life boat story. What May '03 cruise were you on? We were on the May 10th Western.

As for Survivor - those old guys are idiots. The only one I like is Chad. I think a woman is going to end up winning this.

Best part of being in a Navigator Verandah - your life boat station is in Animators Pallette :D
