HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA. DENISE, AND DEB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE YOU BOTH HAD AN AWESOME BIRTHDAY.

Went into chat for a little while tonight.

Denise, I registered for our shore excursions and we were not even paid in full. Ask to speak to a supervisor.

Stacey, I hope you are feeling better. I know what that pain is all about. I have one root canal left to go and I have not been back to do it or put the crown on. The last time I was there was enough for me.

DH is a very early riser. He is out of the house around 5am. He does his Home Depot Run and off to work he goes. He only needs a good 6 hours of sleep. DH has trouble staying up late at night as he is up so early.

I on the other hand LOVE my sleep I need at least a good solid 7 or 8 hours otherwise I am so tired. I can go to bed early or late as long as I get the sleep. If I do not get my sleep I am the crank Queen in the am.

DD use to go to bed early. She know has to watch Full House at 9pm each night. I would tape it but she wants to watch it. She faslls asleep around 10pm and gets up around 8am. DD also loves her sleep once she falls asleep. She is the cranky princess in the am.

DS is to young to tell yet. He does sleep pretty well. He stopped taking naps at 18 months and that is when he started sleeping though the night. Last night he went to bed at 8pm and woke us all up at 3AM from a nightmare. He than wanted to tell us all over and over again about it!!! He finally went back to sleep at 5:30am. DD went right back to sleep but The parents NEVER DID!!!!!! I am sure he will sleep tonight.

KAREN, you will love this. Our DG Harmony ONLY sleeps through the night in her bed in our bedroom. Otherwise she is up all night long and paces!!!! We also have to shut our door or she paces in the hallway to go out and make and than want to play!!!!!! She will be 9 on Thanksgiving and she still can be a piece of work!!!!

We just brought two hermit crabs tonight for the children. One shell has Spider Man painted on it and the other a dinosaur. We thought only DS would want them. We were wrong!! DD wants to pick one out too!!!

The company has left for tonight and will be back after sundown tomorrow.
The in laws were suppose to take the Hampton Jittney Bus back to Boynton Beach, Florida Sunday BUT the bus company cancelled it until Tuesday due to the hurricane. It will be nice to see them one more time on Sunday. A bonus day for us all.

Thanks for the suggestion Gail. I'll pass the bday wishes on to Sierra. She'll be 5. Have the characters singing her happy birthday on Monday morning. Good evening! I am alive. Done with all the doctor visits and I'm glad.
Each one of them confirmed what I already knew....I'm getting old. Oh well....beats the alternative.
I zonked out for a while earlier and darn it all DH & DS went to the ball games without me!
That's when I pulled out my bag of tricks....I snuck the invoices home, and finished them! He hates for me to bring work home, but I felt like I'd never get caught up.
He had said to do them Monday or Tues, but with mom here, I'll barely get in the office long enough to go through the mail.
I should have time tomorrow to get the laundry done, and make sure Jordan has her room clean for Grandma before heading to the airport. At least I feel like most of the pressure is off.
My glasses prescription changed some. I ordered a new pair of glasses...they might be a little too "stylish" for me.....the girl there talked me into them. Maybe I needed an update.

Cindy...stay safe down there, thanks for the "tooth wishes"...feeling much better....you're welcome!!!!!

Gail....glad you're having another nice holiday with your family. Thanks for still checking in...I know it's a busy time.

Denise, you probably won't see this before you go...but I am sooo jealous! I'm just a touch too far to just run on over to visit the Mouse. Happy Birthday to your DD.

Where are all the men lately?? Did they start their own thread?
Maybe Mary's and my "shyness" scared them off......they got tired of not getting any T.O.P.'s.......

Do you think that Florida can just please be done with all this crummy weather?? Guess I should check and see what "WeatherMark" has to say....do you have something posted somewhere, Mark?

DW and I liked the questions about early vs late risers. Guess what, it's 6 am Saturday morning and I am the only one up ready to go. I guess that says a lot.

I have to make a run to the Mother Ship to get some more chaulk. DS took it off the front door last weekend. We need to put it back up to keep Jeanne out.

The only question is when the storm will turn. The current path takes it through Orlando, again. At least it is early enough to not affect Food and Wine Festival!

Another weekend with no diving. Some of you may remember my posting about why do the hurricanes only come on weekends. Well, it's coming tonight and Sunday morning. Enough said.

I'll have to try out the new dry suit to see if it can stand up to the driving rain.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

We have a busy day today. DH finally comes home after 17 days!

The kids both have volleyball games this morning, same time, two different schools! Thank goodness my neighbor's son is on the same team as DS. She will take the boys.

This afternoon/evening we have our neighborhood Villagefest. It is small carinval type thing put on by our association. There are rides,games, food, beer,music etc... The good thing is that we just have to walk a block or so! It's nothing spectacular, but the kids have a good time.

My answer to Mary's question. I wouldnt really call us early risers or night owls. DH gets up at 5am for work because he has to. He loves to sleep late on the weekends. We try to make it up till the 11pm news most nights , but sometimes he crashes early. However while on vacation, I cannot usually sleep in. For some reason I am up early before everyone. I usually go take a walk or something. I guess I just feel I should make the most of every minute.

Good morning.

I really don't have much to add to the current forecast for Hurricane Jeanne, sad to say it is going to follow a much easier to now predict track, and yes that track takes it over the eastern half of Florida.

The thing that was making it so hard to predict was the fact there were two other tropical storms in the area, Ivan and Karl. They've both moved on now and the weather surrounding Jeanne has settled down as well as a result, so Jeanne now has a very clear and rough path for eveyone down there, again.

Be safe. Will be watching and hoping everyone pulls through ok.

We don't even live down there (yet) and I'm tired of the hurricanes!! What's up with this anyway? Hope your all prepared and as ready as you can be. Good luck to all Floridians and you're in our prayers as always.


The drysuit approach works pretty well actually. Last weekend we had a OW class go to certify. Saturday was beautiful, but the remnants of the west coast Javier blew in some rain into the SW region. Anyway, it started raining about 8am and continued for about three hours. Not bad, but it does dampen the spirits of some a bit. I kept the drysuit on and at one point was jumping in some little rivulets of water passing through the picnic area. Makes "good" splashes.

Like I've been saying; You are only as old as you act!.......

Needed to take a break for hurricane preparing - I'm officially SICK of these storms. Just got back from my daily walk - still trying to lose a few more pounds before cruising. Last hurricane put weight on - ate all the time and whatever we wanted. I've vowed that this time will be different.
DS was very upset last evening - his scuba club just posted pictures of their dock, boats, etc. They had just started to rebuild and now this..... Yes, he could go diving with others, but we feel like these guys are family - just heartbreaking. I did tell him about having DiveQuest booked for Oct. 15 for he and his friend. It was going to be a surprise that day, but thought he needed some cheering up.
Oh well, DH just got home from helping friends - time to get back to work.

LeiLani, you ! Pretty sneaky!! With me being away from here as much as I anticipate in the next two weeks, Mary will be able to take a big lead in the race.......not that we knew there was one. I had wondered about that, glad Mary & Ohminnie are clever enough to figure it out!

Ohminnie...I'll keep my fingers crossed on the doggie hotel for Maggie. The one Molly goes to is pretty deluxe. Some of the rooms have TV's and plush beds. Sad to say, Molly doesn't get that. She'd start expecting it at home, too!

Seems like a lot of cleaning up will be interrupted by more chaos and damage.

If you don't mind me asking, which dive op does your DS dive out of?

Myself, DD and scuba diver and DS will be at Dive Quest October 9th. I know he will have fun as we will also.

I was going to say, Cindy, it would be fun if you guys came up that weekend and join us for some wining & dining at Epcot. Interrupted by some scuba diving, of course. Is your DS diving on the cruise?

The (old) DCL program was on the Travel channel this morning, sat and watched the whole thing again. Such a beautiful ship, can't wait! We were saying that it's really going to be depressing once this one is over, we've been looking forward to it for so long! I guess we'll just have to book another one when we're done. A Western cruise for summer '06 sounds good, and we might be able to save the $$$$ for it by then. Or maybe the $$$$$ (hope not!).
