Since I'm going to be away from the computer til probably late next week, I'll answer the full nickname.
Laura was "a half pint of sweet cider, half drunk up" or something really close. I don't have the book with me to get the exact wording. I always thought that was such a cool thing!
Tonight is the packing the vehicles for girl scouts, then taking DS to boy scouts. Tomorrow, I take both to school, finish helping DH pack (he took 1/2 day off today, plus he has all of tomorrow, but he still wants help!), then pick up the girls by noon to leave at 1. We get back late Sunday, and I fly out early Monday for two days in Texas for work. Wed is DS's 5th grade graduation (more proud mom moments here!), then I can breathe for a few days.
Oh and that means I won't be in chat on Friday. You can all be thinking nice thoughts about me while I'm not there.
Hey, wasn't someone on this thread from Ft. Worth? I'll be there Monday night, if you want a mini-meet?

Just got home, have to go back out. Jordan has dance from 5:15 to 6:30 and Jared has ball from 7:00 till whenever the Ogre lets them go...last night it was 10:00. I will be sooo glad when this is over.
I cannot believe that they actually sat my husband on the Grand Jury!!! OMgosh.....you'd have to know him........
It will be interesting to hear about the cases, but he has no idea how to give the Reader's Digest Condensed version of anything.
Two days a week, for four months....
So....the question about David MacCallum.......anyone know what show he's on now, and what his occupation is???
I hardly recognized him!

I am counting the days until DD is done with summer school, and DS's ball is over. Having her school from noon to three really makes a mess of the day.
She (DD) was very happy to get back to dance class tonight. We ran from there to the ball field. DH and DD & I had to go out and field balls...they had a batting practice and not one other parent was there. I have to play two games tomorrow, so it was good practice. The worst was the kid who kept hitting foul, and we were all over the bushes shagging those. Stomping loudly and yelling "I'm coming rattlesnakes....don't bite me!" Then the kid is still hitting, and we're ducking..... Where are all those other parents, anyway??
At least it was cooler. Only 89 today. A regular cold front!

My brothers had an UNCLE "office" or command post, or whatever you want to call it, in our basement. I was not allowed in there. I was only allowed to play UNCLE when they needed someone to hunt down and kill. Love ya, mean it!
