How embarassing!!! I'm a loser! :(

You must remember that I am only a youngster. (Yeah, right, and Kelly Ripa, too)

I know that Charlotte has been in and out of town.....don't know about Gail.......Where are you, Gail???:magnify:

Stacey - you are a winner in many many ways.

Just know Emergency trivia. :D What can I say I was a big Jack Webb geek. Dragnet, Adam-12, Emergency. I watched them all. Plus I'm showing my age!

Lynda, we were at Grand Cayman just about the same time last year. The weather can be pretty dicey in December, all of the boat excursions were cancelled that day because of rough seas. Stepping onto the tender boat was sort of like trying to step on that bucking treadmill they have in Fun houses. So, I would say it would depend on the weather. I do remember that people had to get themselves down the steps, though there were people to help at the bottom.

I'm going to add, I wasn't impressed with Grand Cayman anyway. Since the weren't going out and the snorkelling was too rough, the only choice was the island tour. What a waste of time and money. There were only a few shops open that day as well, it was a Sunday. My family did get to go scuba diving, which worried me all day, but they were fine. Got back to the ship early that day!

Do we know for sure we have to tender anywhere? I know St. Thomas is a possibility? We don't in Key West, St. Martin or Castaway Cay. What about Antiqua and St. Lucia - anyone know for sure?

Yikes, I need to read more carefully. Why am I talking about Grand Cayman? Where are we tendering, anyway? LOL guess I just filled my posting quota for the next several days. I'm talking to myself, just like Stacey.

I loved Grand Caymen, but we went in early May and the water was smooth as glass. We did Hell, the Turtle Farm and snorkeling with the Stingrays. What an awesome experience. I loved it!

We didn't stick around downtown too much. Instead we headed back to the ship and had lunch via room service out on the veranda!

Ah, lunch on the veranda. That's what cruising is all about! Wish we were going to Cozumel though, we loved that port.

Next time we do a Western cruise, we'll try for summer. The weather wasn't great in Roatan either, and the seas were pretty rough. I'm betting that the water in Key West and Castaway Cay will be a bit chilly too. Just hope it's nice out on the veranda!

Diana - see different strokes for different folks. We didn't care for Cozumel as much as the other ports.:D

As for CC - yes I think the water will be chilly. When we went on the DVC Member Cruise in February we thought the water was a little too cool for us (and we were there for 2 days). Of course we were going back in May so we could afford to be picky. :D

Love my veranda - that's how I got my tag!

Sorry that I didn't participate in the trivia but I'm not old enough to know anything about those shows!

Where's Stacey when you need her?!? :teeth:

Paul - what do you want to talk about. Should we discuss New Kids on the Block or are you too old for that too? :D

Well maybe I am old enough to have watched those shows but I think because of my advanced age my memory is shot!

Paul

well in that case would you like to talk about Sing Along With Mitch? :D

Just playing with you Paul!

Mary - You know what's sad? I actually have a faint recolection of watching that show with my parents.

Paul

Ok - sing along with Mitch trivia. What is the connection between Sing Along with Mitch and Sesame Street?

Wow Mary! You have trivia for everything! I'm not much of a trivia buff. The only thing I remember about Sing Along With Mitch was watching the cool bouncing ball!

Are we talking Mitch Miller?

I'll tell you what I DO know.....there are new cruise docks in both Antigua and St. Lucia, no tendering there.

Elaborate. Why did you love the Grand Cayman?

What was so awesome about snorkeling with the sting rays?

Details please.

ibcnet - welcome to the DIS? Are you sailing with us on the 10-day? Not that we are going to Grand Cayman on the 10-day:D

I just loved snorkeling with the stingrays. As soon as the boat pulled up they just all came over. They would bump up against you and take food right out of your hands.
