Mary, I think his name was/is Robert Fuller. Now, who played nurse Dixie McCall on that show?? (this one I DID remember)

Dixie McCall was played by the late Julie London.

Dr. Joe Early was played by the late Bobby Troup (who happened to be married to Julie London).

Now for bonus points who was Julie London's first husband and how is he associated with the show?

I know the younger people on this thread are shaking their heads!

Mike - beautiful picture. That is one of the reasons I don't mind tendering in Grand Cayman. You get some beautiful shots of the ship.

Oh and I almost forgot.

Good Morning Cruisers!

I used to watch this show.
She was married to Jack Webb (Dragnet) and was the show's executive producer.

Oh my! You don't know delswife? Here's the link to her extensive trip report.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=454128

be prepared though...once you start reading, you can't stop. One day I spent HOURS reading her reports. I even have it saved in Word and the next time we drive to WDW I'm going to print it (it's about 65 pages) and we'll read it on the way down. It's hysterical!

I thought of a few more:

Stacey - is Catherine (Marg Heldgenbarger) from CSI. She's always digging up people in Vegas.

Gail is Laura Petrie (Mary Tyler Moore) from the old Dick Van **** show. I think this is because of the NY connection, plus I think of Gail as a classy wife and mom.

two4ruff - I see Goldie Hawn - I think because of the hockey mom aspect.

Just saw these posted on another thread!

Thanks for the Antiqua information Mary. I'm going to have to print the excursions off to decide what we are going to do.

Oops. I looked at my delswife epic and it's actually 150 pages!! I must have had 65 in my head thinking "back to back pages." And even then I was off.

I started printing delswife epic and decided after reloading the paper I better do something else.

And then, I read Mary's list of the Antigua excursions, so that is sitting waiting to print after all of delswife report!

Mary, where did you find the Antigua excursions? I am excited just briefly looking over them. I want to go on two or three. Do you think we can just extend a day or two?

Okay, when my printer stops (good thing I've got my own laser printer in office), I need to do some real work.

I think I just woke the kids up laughing at that one! And another one I wish I looked like! That was too funny....we have quite a few clever people in this group. Thanks, Mary, for starting my day with a smile!

Okay Ohiominnie......I must have hit print all, cuz I got the whooooooooollllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeee 150 pages! Like I said, good thing I got the HP LaserJet 6P here in my office. Geez, I am going to have to pay for a ream of paper by the end of today!

Printed out the Antigua excursions. I am like a little kid in the candy story (except, there is no calories........well, at least until I get on the ship!) I can't wait to share with the rest of the family.

Okay, now I am really going to get to work.

That means only 11% of the time someone views the thread, they post. If we can just get our percentages up, we'll be sure to keep up with the repo cruise threads. :)

Judging by some of the contributions from a couple of the August repo cruisers it is pretty obvious that some of us occasionally prefer to be lurkers than posters...for good reason. I believe that the spirit of helpfulness and mutual good will that exists here on the 10-day cruise thread will enhance our cruise experience so much more than a zillion unhappy, ungenerous, and some downright unfriendly contributions from people who are letting their egos take control of their typing fingers.... WAY TO GO, Christmas cruisers...!

I started reading delswife's epic.....saved it in my favorites to read or print later. Too funny.

Very good on the trivia jilljill....didn't know who she was married to. DH knew it was Julie London right away. He's good at trivia, it's one reason I keep him around!!

We are doing at lot of snorkeling at the other islands. And I'm not one for wandering around in the jungle...did that once in Guatemala and got held at gunpoint by bandits. DH and I were thinking of just going to Nelson's Dockyard in Antigua. So I guess we'll take our chances with a local taxi driver. We've done that a few times, and have never had a problem....except maybe in Las Vegas, where all the taxi drivers are insane.

I printed it several months ago...even made copies to give as Christmas presents on the Christmas cruise.... So much for copyright laws... and Christmas surprises...

Any of you youngsters remember Thunderbolt, the Wonder Colt?; Engineer Bill; Bobby, Betty, and their Flying Boots?; Winkey Dink?

Thunderbolt rings a bell.........my memory isn't very good....I think it's the three kids I had that have made me lose my mind. I mean, memory.

Just had an e-mail from my friend at Fairytale Weddings. She told me that they are only having TWO vow renewals on the Christmas cruise. And they can only have two weddings at CC. The weddings make sense, there's only so much time at Castaway Cay....but with numerous At Sea days on this cruise, only two renewals is sad. The Capt and whoever else is in charge told her not to even ask about doing another one!
Bummer.
Cindy...you really got lucky!!!! We'll all just have to come and "crash" your party!! (only kidding)

Mike - beautiful picture. That is one of the reasons I don't mind tendering in Grand Cayman.

Speaking of tenders....anyone have recent experience with them that would allow me to hazard a guess as to whether or not I'll be able to drive my scooter onto one?....My last experience with a tender was in 1990, when I was still walking without assistance......

Hi everyone. Sorry I'm late today. DD passed her stomach virus to DS, and it was my turn to stay home. Our dial up can sometimes be really slow, so I just got on at a reasonable speed.

I used to LOVE emergency. I can remember writing down the codes that they used so I could remember them when we played Emergency. And Adam 12 was about then too. One Adam 12, one Adam 12. I actually saw that on nick at night the other day and couldn't believe how CORNY it was!

I think Randolf Mantooth was one of my first crushes (along with Donnie Osmond, but don't tell anyone!). I've always gone for the dark complexion, dark haired guys. Even married one! But I didn't know the trivia asked here.

I spent my first half of on-line time getting DS's suit for formal/semi-formal nights. JC Penney had some good things on clearance. I got him a navy single breasted suit, with an extra pair of charcoal gray slacks. all for $40. I know he'll look sharp! He always says he's wearing "his tuxedo" when he wears a jacket.

I actually started out looking for a hawaiian shirt for FIL's father day gift, but haven't found one at the price I want yet.

Had to laugh at the Wonder Woman comment. I wish I had her body though. That was another show from my youth. I did have Diana Prince glasses though. Blind as a bat, that's me!

DD bridges from Juniors to Cadets tonight. It should be a nice little ceremony. I spent the morning getting all our stuff together for the big camping weekend. I started last night. DH asked me if I was packing his stuff for him. I told him that I completely packed for both kids, and myself, and that I found all his equipment for the trip. I told him that a big boy like him ought to be able to pack his own clothes and toiletries. As I was walking out of the room, he says "but you are packing for me, right?" and started laughing hysterically! Got to love him.

Another fan of delswife here. I love all her posts, but the trip reports are the BEST!

Better go, I need to call DD's school. The kids are officially out in one week! They haven't had any work to do this week though, so I'm not sure why they're making them go to school!
