Good Saturday Morining Everyone!

Mary - hope you have a great trip. I wish we were joining you at Member Homecoming. They always plan these member things during school time so it's hard for us to make it.

Stacey - yes, I am still here. It's just been real busy around here lately so I have not been online as much as I would like. Hope you have a great trip to DL.

Boy, was the weather wild here yesterday afternoon and evening. Gotta love those spring storms in the midwest. The weather guys went on the air yesterday at 2pm and didn't go off until 9:30pm. We had tornadoes touching down all around us but didn't get one here, so we were lucky. It looks great out right now, but they say we may have more bad weather this afternoon so I will have to keep my eyes on the sky.

I purchased our tickets for MVMCP the other day. We will be going on Dec 17th. We made a reservation at the GF for the 16th & 17th and may stay there instead of the Hyatt. We figured it would be eaiser on the 17th after MVMCP to return to a room at the GF instead of all the way to the Hyatt.

Anyone else going to MVMCP on the 17th? Maybe we can all meet up somewhere during the evening.

Everyone have a great weekend.

I know Virgil (WVMD) is! And we are trying to see what my parents are doing with the cruise so that we can make plans. We would LOVE to do MVMCP that night.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that there aren't any hidden video cameras on Haunted Mansion. The entire place is wired with pressure sensitive pads, so they can tell if someone has gotten out of their DoomBuggy. Also, did you know there was a 2 story drop between you and Madam Leota's head? Apparently someone got out once and tried to get to her head, fell and died. Hmmmm.

I thought I remembered seeing a "behind the scenes" show one time that showed the cameras. I don't know, but I'm going to try to findout!
Maybe I'll try to see the "drop off". It's impossible, I bet, to see over the front of the Doombuggy......don't want to lean out too far! Two stories? You already go down below ground level by the time you get to Madame Leota....I'd think two more stories down, and you'd hit water!
Too bad no one at the parks will ever answer questions like that. Before our California cruise, we're doing the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour. We've never done it. That would be a good time to ask those questons, but by then, I will have forgotten!

LeiLani.....I've been thinking about you with all the storms. They have missed my parents, too, thank goodness. I think your GF plan sounds great!

Off to get the kids moving on their Saturday morning chores. Woopee.

Talk to you all later.....have a great day!

Anybody else know what they'd do if they were a CM???

Stacey

LeiLani - We too are doing MVMCP on the 17th. We get to WDW on the 14th. It would be great if we could all get together !

Paul

Hmmm - Leilani, interesting thought about the GF... We've never stayed there..... We have reservations at the Hyatt - but may have to keep them. Since we fly in on Friday morning - I just thought it might be easier to rent a car and go to MGM and then over to MVMCP. That way we can also do the grocery run prior to being picked up in the morning. I'm not sure when DD Kristin is flying in from WVU. Hopefully early enough so that she can join us for MVMCP.......

Well - I'll be back tonight - working nights again - and then back at 5pm on Sunday... Nice schedule - huh? It just worked out better for me that way...

Hope everybody has a great Saturday!

LeiLani....you gave me a great idea!!!

I just got done changing our reservation from the Hyatt to the Grand Floridian on Friday, Dec 17th!!!!!!
We don't get in to MCO until 4 pm, so it may seem kind of silly to do it that way, but I thought it may add a little magic to the trip!
Thank you!!
Now I can't wait to get up and have coffee on the balcony looking over the lagoon again! And the fireworks!

Someone will have to give me some info on MVMCP. Do you have to buy park tickets first? What time is it? Where???

Not excited much, am I?

I should be getting excited about tomorrow. Only a warm-up for the big cruise!

Better get back to work.....

Stacey

Stacey - You don't need to buy park tickets for this event. Just call the Disney reservation number and order the MVMCP tickets.

Paul

Thanks Paul!

Okay, I'm all packed, DD is at her final rehearsal, too soon to get ready to go to her recital. I can't stand just sitting here doing nothing. I never do nothing. I want to go to the airport NOW!

:bored:

Hi Everyone. Happy Saturday.

Stacey, MCMVP are tickets bought separately. Your day admission to WDW will not get you into MVMCP. The fun starts at 6pm but two years ago we got in at 5:00. I think someone on this thread a while back mentioned that you can get in as early as 4pm??

We are also going to MVMCP on 12/17. That would be so much fun to meet for a moment at the park that night. What do you all think about that? We love the GF. What a great place to stay before the cruise.

We have some of the test results back and will receive the rest on Monday. DD has an allgery induced colitis in her colon. DD has to go through more allgery testing to find out what is causing this problem. She has been off lactose for 3 weeks with still the same problems but we are going to test her anyway. DD also is due for her check up for her Etopic Kidney. DD is still not feeling well and having problems at school with her tummy aches and side pain. DD will not be going to camp full time this summer as there is to much going on and she needs a break. DD will go to some form of camp but not the whole summer. There is a nature camp and science camp not to far from our house that you can pick the week you want to go and the hours are 9-2 Monday to Thursday. A very good friend of DD has been doing it for 3 years and loves it. I think we will pick one week in July and one in August. She still really want s to go to Girl Scout sleep away for one week in August. We shall see. I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.

Lisa and Linda, we might not have a brownie troop leader for next year. The women I was suppose to do it with decided to move up with her older daughter as her younger daughter is not into it. The person who was suppose to step in backed out. We were going to combine first and second grade but that did not work out to many girls. So second grade is without a leader and so is thrid grade. I suggested to combine those troops and open the enrollment to find another troop leader as I will not do this alone. Even if I only do second grade it will still be at least 15 girls by myself even with mom's coming to help out it is a lot of work. I am also on a lot of committees and chairing a huge dinner function next year for the elementary schoool and a council delgate for the Special Education PTA. I am spread thin as it is with a 3 year old at home. What do you all think??? I feel it is to much to handle alone!! Thanks for listening.

Our babysitter is here so we are off to dinner and some alone adult time.

Have a great night everyone. Talk to you all later. Fondly, Gail
:earsgirl:

Gail,
Continued good wishes for your daughter.......I really hope they find the cause soon, and put a stop to it. Hopefully then she can enjoy camp this summer.

Stacey

Great! Another T.O.P. And #5850

Do you think you all will reach 6000 while I'm gone??

Who has claim on it?

Off to the dance recital.......should be fun. I love seeing all the tiny ballerinas in their cute little outfits.

Back later to at least say goodnight (and peek at my countdown timer!)

Yea, Paul - I missed most of it - between taking the nap before work - and driving here - missed a good deal. Did see a couple of the crashes.......

DW wasn't happy - Jr. didn't win.....

Virgil - Not a bad race. I just hate to see so many good cars taken out that early. Jr. wasn't real happy with his crew chief. He said he had a good car until they started adjusting on it.

I hope you have a quiet night!
