Linda,

I forgot to ask - will you be doing Sea Trekkin? What time?

Linda and Lynda, we will be heading that way (I think). We are planning to schedule scuba diving and snorkeling with the Coki Beach Dive Club: http://www.cokidive.com/ . Coral World is next to Coki Beach. Transportation is included in their packages. With a group the size of yours, Linda, you might want to look into renting a van on the island. It might be cheaper.

I'm not doing too well with my listings today. Diana

Yes, I told them I wanted the other 6 spots they had available at 11 a.m. since I was thinking you said in your post you were at 11 a.m. also.

I think that it will be fun. I haven't talked to the grown kids yet, but I am sure we will be able to fill all 6 spots.

Did they have you give them a credit card for a deposit?

Linda

Linda yes we are at 11 AM! That will be so cool to be doing it with someone we know! We can exchange cameras down there to take group shots (us taking a shot of your group and you taking a picture of Mark and I). No credit card needed to reserve. She did say to e-mail them a reminder a week or two before we go. I'm going to bring their e-mail address on the cruise in case, God forbid, we have to miss St. Thomas for some reason (you know Murphy's law - if I have it we won't need it, but if we don't have it we will).

I'm so excited!

Dang-Coki Beach sounds fun too! Could we just stay an extra day there? Now I'll have to talk to the DH about what he wants to do. I guess I'll have to ask the grown kids too. They may want to do the snorkeling at the beach with our little grandkids instead of Coral World.

Okay, more research to do and more options to choose from.

Linda

Linda - since Coki beach is right next to Coral World there is plenty of time to do both. I'm sure your group will have a great time no matter what you choose!

Yep, maybe the DH and DD and myself can do Coral World and we can send the rest of the kids over to Koki Beach for the day if they don't want to do Coral World. That would be a blast to do pictures. I am always cold, wonder if I'll need my 3/4 wetsuit in December down there. I am kinda a wimp when it comes to cold water!

I think Coral World and the SeaTrekking sounds like a blast!

Linda

We could take the beach free transportation over and then walk over to Coral World. Is that possible?

Linda

Not sure if there is beach transportation, but there might be buses on the island. I know there are on Grand Cayman and St. Martin. Coke Beach Dive Club only provides transportation if you have a guided dive or snorkel booked with them. Might be an option for some of your group. Diana

Linda - Here is some info right from the Coral World website:

HOW DO I GET TO CORAL WORLD?

Answer:
BY TAXI - Taking a taxi is the easiest way to get to Coral World. Taxis are readily available at the cruise docks, hotels and the downtown shopping district. The taxi rate from the Havensight cruise ship dock and downtown is approximately $7 per person for two or more passengers. The taxi rate from the Crown Bay cruise ship dock is approximately $8 per person for two or more passengers. Rates vary from each hotel depending on their location.

BY BUS - Public transportation is available from downtown and near the cruise ship dock, however it is generally unreliable. If you decide to take a bus, take the bus that reads "Red Hook" and tell the driver you are going to Coral World. The bus stop nearest to Coral World is within 10 minutes walking distance. The fare is $ 1 in exact change.

A truck, huh? Well, Cash won't have too much trouble...He's in and out of my truck all the time. Guess I'd better pack my anti-gravity girdle, though. There go the shins.

Lynda - if you go to this link St. Thomas and scroll down to the bottom the red truck is the type I was talking about. Hope this helps.

Okay, I'm checking out for vans in St. Thomas. We can definitely get a better price if I can find one.

Now, THAT's what I'd like to do...Snorkeling at Coki Beach. I think Cash would be more welcome in the transportation provided than in a taxi but, now here's the biggie...I won't know how Cash will react to my swimming in circles for an hour until I get to Castaway Cay... in May. I'm not parking him on shore....Guess I'll just have to play it by ear at this point...Keep me in mind if there's a spare space for me an' the Dawg.....but we won't know until after the Bahamas cruise. One thing for sure..I'm NOT going to be trying to test the accessibility of foreign islands with my scooter so that's one really big item I won't have to pay transportation for... The May trip to the Bahamas will be a real test of logistics!....The first, though, is whether or not Cash will even be allowed on shore in May....He has to have a health cert. signed no more than 48 hours before arrival in the Bahamas....A Sat. AND A Sun. in Orlando...at AKL and me with no car..... Already discovered that no mobile vets :a. work on weekends or:b. service the WDW area.......Work it, work it...:earseek:

Thanks... for the pic!
Looks do-able. Easy with a step stool, I see the truck has a step...Inside grab bars help, too. Looks about the height of a regular bus or one of those 15-passenger Chevy Church buses...yep, anti-gravity girdle or a muscular boost from behind....EEEEEEEEEEKKK! Gravity is always useful for the dismount.

BOY......four pages to read and trouble getting on the boards....that'll teach me to sleep in and be lazy on a Sunday morning!

Lynda...muddy dogs...know it well. Yesterday when DD brought DGPuppy (his name is Ash, don't ask, I don't know why either) she had just had him all groomed and pretty. After his romp with Molly in the backyard, he was back to my familiar Ash!! :D

jilljill, come on down! I could use a P.R. person, or you could be a wardrobe lady....we'd think of something!

Diana...Jared is only going to be 11...not a worry yet !

Gail, you didn't miss anything...I was addressing my new bestest friend gaRry, and was trying to list all my other new friends too. I just stopped after a certain point because I didn't want to bore anyone any more than I already do! But you're incuded in there, too.

I wish I were smart enough to figure out how to put a picture in my posts once in a while. I know someone told me before, but I wasn't smart enough to even write it down.

I do so love that video. If anyone talks to Beano, say thanks for me! It's better by a long shot than Disney's!!!!

Off to look around, hope I can get back in later, the boards are awfully busy.
Still haven't heard back on any of my excursion e-mails :(

Stacey

Lynda, why don't you e-mail the Coki Dive Club from that link I posted? Tell them what your needs are, they might be able to help you out. I have heard that they are very nice. Diana

Stacey, do you have some web site space? You have to post the pic there, and then give the address in your profile. I'm not sure if it works when you just type it into a post, let me try:

<img height=350 src=http://www.mindspring.com/~dancind/mypig.jpg>

Edited to add, OK it works. Meet my cat, Elvis. This is his pig. You type in something like this:

<img src = http://www.yourwebsite.com/~your name/picname.jpg>

Remove the space between "src" and "=", and "=" and "http".

Oh, never mind. PM if you want the code.

Here's a picture of Mark and I from Atlantis while on the Member Cruise last year.

Mary & Diana, I LOVE that!
I have got to figure it out. I used to have some pictures in the album here, but half my files were too small and half too big. All anybody got to see of most of them were thumbnails. They are long gone now.
I love your kitty! My best friend has two of my kitty's babies. They resemble her, but are different in a few ways. It's fun to see them, though, because I miss her so much. They steal all of my friend's beanie babies and scatter them throughout the house!
I don't have any website space. At one time, someone was going to set me up, but she never came through on it. I do have pictures in an album on AOL. Guess I could figure out the link to that.
I'll work on it after I finish finding my brother a new house. I just called him and told him I found about 20 houses in 3 different towns he was looking at, and he gave me two more towns to check!! Like I said, good thing I love him to pieces!!
Be back in a bit.
Stacey

I did that very thing, thank you for the suggestion. I won't be able to ask them anything intelligent about Cash until I know more about his snorkeling talent and am able to convince him that a "STAY" command means the same in the water as it does on land...If he gets used to floating around in his life vest I'll be able to use him as an anchor and as a raft to hold a camera and other things....
I know he understands about things swimming in the water...He spends hours herding toads that sit on the bottom of the pool in summer. He just doesn't understand how to get down to them with that long thing sticking out the front of his face...(his nose)...:bounce:
