Hi everyone,
Back from my 2 week break in Spain with my nice golden tan (will probably soon fade in the UK rain). Got back home at 2am then started work at 5am so feeling a little tired now.
Welcome to new cruisers.
Still not decided what we are doing in each port of call, will still be trying to decide when we dock each day.
Wayne

Hi wayne, welcome home, tan will be gone in a few days with the way it's been bucketing down, ah well the rumour goes if it rains on st swithins day it'll rain for forty days and forty nights and so far it's rained every day of august ! praying for great weather in orlando / dcl so need a tan :-)

Tracy,

Sorry for taking so long to reply to your question of the excursions. I have been on the road for the past three days in Atlanta. Landed about 2 hours ago and here I am on the boards first thing. Have to head out again Monday for a short two day trip to Chicago.

Mina and I only have the Tulum ruins on the schedule at this point. We have talked about trying to grab the Sting Ray on GC through Captain Marvins. I scheduled parasailing on CC for myself as Mina is afraid of flying in a plane let alone on that.

Seven weeks to go!

Chuck

Hi chuck bet mina loved that " hi honey i'm home , off to the disboards now" :-)

Have a safe trip to chicago, 6 weeks today for me !

Can't remember if I've posted here before. We are also on this cruise and its myself, hubby, dd 6, and ds 5. We are SO excited and looking forward to it. Its our first Disney cruise tho hubby and I've been on a few others, bc (before children).

Excursion wise we are looking at just doing the conch train on our own in Key West, the stingrays/Island tour in Grand Cayman and a beach on Cozumel. We are considering booking the stingray trip with Nativeway Watersports (they are highly recommended on Cruisecritics boards) and was wondering if anyone here had any experience or thoughts on them? As far as the beach we are looking at Paradise Beach on Cozumel. It seems it should be about a $14 taxi ride there and rafts and equipment are all free (other than food and drink of course). Anyone been there? In my family we are all beach bums and the other trips don't really appeal due to our children's ages, etc. Just looking for some advice or opinions! And looking forward to cruising with all of you of course!

Hi Heidi, welcome to the boards, we're also doing nativeway they came recommended and have been friendly and helpful in dealings, also we are doing paradise beach , highly recommended on these and other boards and a bargain too.

I just thought I would let you know of the experience I had while trying to book the Castaway Cay Fishing. (I wasn't on the ball like most of you and didn't call until a week after the 60 day mark.) The first time I called the guest services operator said that there was no availability for the fishing while at Castaway Cay.

At the prophetic prompting of Traycie....TY very much!....I called back about the 18th of August. This operator told me that the computer showed it full, but when they look at the computer for availability, the computer looks to book in groups of 4 people even if you are only trying to book have two. She put me on hold and told me that she could call to the people who actually schedule the excursions to override this computer feature. Making a long story short, my dh and son were able to be booked on the Castaway Cay fishing that we didn't think they could go on.

Hope someone can benefit from this! 48 days to go!!!

Jeff,
Could you please add another DIS meet to your website - http://www.tiggerfan.net/DISaster/
---------Radisson Hotel pool about 5:00 pm

We will be flying into MCO and going to the Radisson on Friday afternoon, and will be by the pool probably about 5:00. Just look for lime green DIS Lanyards. Folks could also keep asking everyone if they are a DIS'r. If you think you might be there, let me know, and I will keep an eye out.

Regarding anniversaries, Ann and I celebrate our 11th on October 23.

Regarding Excursions:
Key West - unsure, but will do something on our own
Grand Cayman - Booked Stingray City with Captain Marvin's
Cozumel - booked Fury Catamaran, Snorkel, Beach Party through DCL
Castaway Cay - just enjoying the beach, may go for a bike ride.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

David

Hi everyone! :wave2:

Wow, time has flown by. Only a month and a half left! I just wanted to re introduce myself since I haven't posted in a while(but have been a very dedicated lurker). This is our second Disney cruise....last October we did the Eastern. This cruise we will also be traveling with my MIL, this is her 1st cruise. So our group consists of myself, Serena, DH Todd, DS Jacob 4, DD Alyssa 20 months, & MIL Patti. BTW our 5th aniversary is October 17th. I'm excited to meet you all. :) :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Time has flown by (but October can't get here soon enough). Time to reintroduce myself also. Guess it is safe now to "commit" to the cruise since final payment is in. It will be myself, DH, DS age 10, DD age 4 in 1 room; Grown DS, DIL & DGD age 10 months in another; and friends with DD age 4 and DS age 2 in a third room. Really looking forward to it. Hope the weather is nice (no hurricanes to prevent family & friends from flying in).

Hi Traycie, :)

The excursions I booked are mostly on our own.

Key West: Jet ski tour w/ Island water sports (DH & I)
Grand Cayman: Stingrays w/ Captain Marvins (DH & I ) possibly 7 mile beach after for family
Cozumel: Paradise Beach for myself and the kids, Discover Scuba w/ Eagle Ray Divers for DH, Dolphin Swim w/ Dolphin Discovery for MIL
CC: Banana Boat ride

LOL, I'm happy that all the excursion planning is finished.

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since I've posted anything... but the cruise is getting really close. Our group is me, my DH, and my two DD's ages 7 and just turning 4. The girls are getting really excited (and so are we). Every morning when I wake my youngest up she asks "are we going on the Disney boat today?" The only excursion I have booked is the Stingray City Observatory and Island Tour in GC. We plan to go to Paradise Beach in Cozumel, and do the Trolley in Key West on our own. There aren't many excursions to choose from with a 4 year old... but that's okay with us, we plan on this being a relaxing week (unlike a trip to WDW). We're driving down on Friday and staying at the PCat WDW (at $49 a night I couldn't see staying one night anywhere else). We thought about doing the MNSSHP on Fri. night but decided to skip it this year. The picture at the bottom (hopefully it shows up properly) is my girls last year at the MNSSHP.

See you all in a month and a half!!

Michele

Hi Michele, welcome back..... we will also be on the cruise and going to MNSSHP for the first time the night before. My DD11 is a huge halloween fan and plans her costumes all year long.

Your daughters are too cute in their costumes.

Just 42 days to go- I am ignoring the hours and minutes....

Denise

I see alot of people are going to Paradise Beach in Cozmel - what do they have to offer, how do you get there etc?

Denise

Hi Denise, check out www.cozumel-beach.com for details, basically it's around $12 a taxi to get there, free entry , free watersports including kayaking , water trampoline , iceberg etc, gets' great reports, nice on site restaurant saves a fortune on dcl beach excursion too. maybe we'll see you there.

I'm not 100 % positive but there was a post on the cruise critic board by Tom( guy from Paradise Beach) that said that starting Oct 1st there is going to be a $5 charge if you want to use the water toys(kayak, trampoline, rafts ect.) The chairs are still going to be free.
