20041009 - 10/9/04 - Western

Car hire and airfare booked long ago, ( still got to pay though LOL ) excursions bokked just need to book MNSSHP other than that just waiting to cruise oh yeah need to buy all the holiday clothes.

Ah, yes, the clothes! I haven't really started on that yet. I'm taking this next week off work and one of my tasks for that time is to get down to serious cruise planning, including a packing list so that I can spread out the purchasing between now and then. We still have to figure out transportation, I'm assuming we'll reserve a rental car from the 7th when we arrive until dropping it off at the port the 9th. On the way from the port to MCO, we'll likely go with a town car for pure convenience's sake. I also need to get our onsite hotel reservations made for the 7th & 8th, but I may wait a bit for that. There's so much to do, and we're coming up upon 4 months to go! I'm sure it will go by fast from this point...

Holiday clothes??? Oh yeah I remember that... of course living in Florida everything is vacation clothes!:hyper:

Yeah and I also have to deal with it being oppresivly hot and humid outside... :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

If ya'll are spending a fair amount of time in Florida before going on the cruise, I highly reccomend looking into getting formal dressed at a Ross store. I've managed to find my last 2 formal dresses there and spent less than $15 on each. They're located all over Florida, here's a listing of the ones in the Orlando area: Ross Stores

Hi Jen, i;ll be in florida for a week before so will definately check out Ross , sounds wonderful , sorry can't find it in my heart to feel sorry for you in hot and humid while i'm sitting in chilly and rainy ;) actually it's gorgeous today so i'm not too jealous.

jfs9900 - we were going to drive to the port the night before and stay at the radisson but we're going to stay in disney for the extra night and drive down in the morning.

If we stay at the port it'll be at the Ron Jon, but most likely we'll just drive over from either Disney or home in the morning

Not long till we're in double figures :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

p.s i checked out the ross website and will probably go to the one on i drive. thanks for the hint

You're welcome traycie, last year I got a gorgeous dark red velvet dress floor length with beautiful subtle embriodery for $10. For my birthday last year I got a great black and white dress for $15. It is by far the best bargain store. Just a hint tho, go early in the morning before they've been picked over.

Hi All if you're cruising with us don't forget to add your details to the Disaster at sea. Jen and Jeff are kindly hosting this page for us all.

The website is up. Feel free to send me the pertinent information (As much or as little as you'd like) and a picture.

The site is http://www.tiggerfan.net/DISaster

I'm not going to post e-mail since we can all use PM here and I don't feel like having people get spam. You can e-mail me at jeffc@tiggerfan.net and put October Cruise Info in the subject line.

You can also send me a PM here with the relevant info.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've also added a DIS events listing. Again, e-mail or PM me to get on it. *PLEASE* don't e-mail anything that is small or informal or that you don't want the world to know about.

If you wan't to hold a DIS shuffleboard event, by all means, post it on my list. If you want another group for high tea, just post here.

Sounds gorgeous, and what a bargain. :D

It really is, my greatest acheivement as far as bargain shopping was at Ross. Bought a pair of sneakers, Reebok, for $1.97. Nothing wrong with them, fit great, just had been passed over so they were on clearance... I'm addicted to Ross.... :earseek:

How many of you are staying at the Raddison?

The DW and I are arriving on the evening of the 7th. Plan on spending some time at WDW on the 8th. Spending both nights at the Renaissance near MCO (one of the few benifits of too much travel, free hotel rooms on occations). I have not decided yet if I am going to take the rental car to the Port yet.

We will be staying at the Ron Jon Resort on Friday night. It is a 2 hour drive from West Palm Beach, so we figured we would start our vacation very relaxed.

What excursions are you folks taking?

I know that the only thing that DW and myself are set on at this moment is the tour of the ruins in Mexico.
