20041009 - 10/9/04 - Western

I doubt we'll go to MNSSHP the night before, we did that last year and as much fun as it was, it led to a very long day/ night as we worked that day. I'd rather drive across the state and get a room at the port... You'll have a great time tho, MNSSHP is a wonderful expierence!

Hi Wayne, Jenkatt , il-gander and all, am so excited 5 months yesterday to the cruise , are we arranging a dis meet for on board ?? and also how do you get the mnsshp tickets online ? we're planning on going too on the 8th then driving to PC early sat morning arriving around 1030 am

You guys are lightweights when it comes to reserving sunbeds, i've sent my union jack towel ahead and have arranged concierge to lay it out at 2 am precisely every morning from 8th oct just to be sure of a space .... LOL

See you all soon:jester:

Traycie... You're staying on conceirge too? We'll be in room 8080.
I don't belive you can order MNSHHP tickets online. We've always had to call and get them.
As far as reserving sunbeds, I'd rather reserve that table in Diversions!

Hi Traycie-
I don't think the MNSSHP tickets are yet available online. They starting selling them on Saturday the 1st over the phone (1-407-WDISNEY), that's how I got ours. I don't think there's a blazing rush to get them for our date (just my impatience, LOL) as I understand that only the dates closest to Halloween generally sell out. MNSSHP tickets were what I asked the family for for my Mother's Day gift this year!

Usually, the most sought after dates don't sell out until Aug/ Sept. Going on Halloween is nice, but really no different than any other day.

Thanks JenKatt, no i'm afraid we're not in concierge was joking re the sunbed reservation, however the upgrade fairy may be floating around and send me to concierge if i'm lucky :earsgirl:

Is diversions a restaurant or a bar ? i haven't heard it mentioned before.

I'm impatient too and want to get my MNSSHP party tickets booked and ticked off the list :)

I'd think that if you can go any night *OTHER* then friday you'll enjoy it more as its less likely to sell out which means more park for you.

I'm seriously thinking about renting a dive boat for the morning at GC to do a two tank dive. Anyone else interested in getting in? (Not looking at firm commitments, just want some idea so I can look at boats and prices)

Diversions is a bar that replaced the comedy club. Its kind of like a lower scale cadillac lounge. I definitely feel more at home there. Plus they have guiness on tap. (FYI, I'm the first guest ever to have Guiness Draught on a Disney cruise.)

It was added to the ship during the last dry dock when they did all the moving around of things.

Diversion is a combination sports bar/ british pub. They do a "British Pub Night" which is down right silly. It really goes along the lines with Monty Python. They have Guinness and Strongbow, though Strongbow is not on tap. (Very hard to find in the states :(

You can ask the resident Kangaroo all about it. (Silentshot)

Count us in for MNSSHP!!! We've never done this before. It sounds like a really fun time. I'm not worried about staying up too late, since I got the REAS package as a surprise for DH.;) We can sleep in the next morning.

Are any adults wearing costumes, or just your children? I haven't worn a costume since I was about 12.:p

Last year there were many families in costume, one family dressed as Peter Pan (Dad) Wendy (Mom) and Tink (baby)... MNSHHP is a wonderful thing

We have been for last 3 years and dressed up each time. I don't think you should be allowed in without costumes. DS also wore his costume round The Old Town on 192 (think it was last Sunday in Oct) all stores give away sweets or discounts off ice cream etc.
Can't go to MNSSH night before as we don't land until after 7pm but will be going after cruise.

I don't know about not being allowed in without a costume, but I definitely think they should only hand out treats to people in costume. (Says the person who never went in costume and happily abused all the treats).

If *ONLY* they'd let me go as a monorail pilot.

Strongbow ! - DH will be thrilled, me i'm sticking with drink of the day , they sound so tasty.

We've already booked stuff on GC but dive boat sounds fun, anyone interested in hooking up for a fishing trip for KW , DH and DS 13 want to do it but charter too expensive for just 2 , might work out a good price for 4 or 6 though. pm me if you're interested.

p.s we're in the 4 month and x days range, it's getting closer, can i pack yet LOL

What are ya'll doing in GC? Last year we went horseback rising which was great!
I doubt we'll go fishing, I don't think many of us are inspiring to be anglers

Hi jenkatt we've booked stingray sandbar swim and coral gardens snorkel through nativewaywatersports, i'm not into fishing per se but DH and DS were quite keen on a couple of hours fishing, i'm sure i'll persuade them to do something else though :sunny:

I'd love to go fishing, but frankly I'm bad luck on fishing boats. If my dad was still going, he'd go in a heartbeat, but alas he had to cancel since he's moving to Davenport from NJ this summer. He'll at least get a good dose of the mouse ;)
