20040410 - Roll Call April 10, 2004 Easter Cruise!!

ONLY 46 MORE DAYS!!!!!

I got an email back from Ruth at Capt. Marvin's and she has marked on everyone's reservation that we want to be on the same boat. It's getting closer and I can't wait.

Hi Dennis,

My grandson, Alex, who will be on the cruise with us, is 11. He goes to a private school in Farmingville, Faith Academy. He is also a Blk Belt.

I'm sure he would love to talk to your sons. Especially since they are both from Long Island.

He is right now at a meeting for the "People-to-People" program. He will be going to California, and Yosmite National Park for two weeks this summer with the program.

Glad your ski trip was a hit.

WE'll be on the String Ray trip with Disney as we also want to go to Rum Beach after the String Ray trip.

We changed our flts down to Orlando. We're now on the 11:10am, Flt 708, Southwest so we could go over to WDW and have dinner at AKL, Boma restaurant. WE'll be renting a car and then driving to the port the following day instead of using DCL transfers.

What flt are you on.

My DS's are 12 &14. If anyone wants to pm me their email addresses, my kids would like to say hello to others their age!

Ummm, laziness I guess! We just didn't want to go through the hassle of renting a car, having to find a parking space, driving on the other side of the road, not knowing where we're going, returning the car, etc. Plus, we would probably like to get a drink or two without worrying! Not trying to discourage you, it really sounds like fun to cruise around the island in your own vehicle, we just thought about it and decided to let someone else do the driving.

DH is a big Jeep fan, and we've decided to do the tropical jeep safari in Cozumel. It sounds like a blast! That might be an option to consider if you decide against renting one in Grand Cayman.

Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll have a great time!

Thanks for the info. I'll have to read about the Jeep Safari in Cozumel. My Dh also likes Jeeps.

We were thinking of going to Mr. Sanchos for a beach day in Cozumel. We went to Playa Sol two years ago when we were on a cruise and had a great time.

I like planning. It's half the fun!!

Sorry I didn't respond, haven't checked this page in a while. No, that wasn't my son at Splashdown, looks like we have another MD'r on our cruise. Cool. Can't wait for them all to meet.

Mouseclick/Beachbum3,

I booked a shore excursion at Cozumel with shore trips.com. It is the Jeep excursion. Anyone else interested? Looks like it is more personal than the one Disney offers. Less jeeps from what I have read and reviewed.

Getting there soon!!!!!

We're still mulling over our options for Cozumel. May do the Jeep thing. So many decisions.....so little time!!!

We are kind of in the same "boat" :boat: (pun intended) with Cozumel. We are on the wait list for the dolphin swim so we are sort of in limbo. I am going to sign DH and his dad up for the reef snorkel (FIL really wants to snorkel in Cozumel) and if the dolphin swim comes through then FIL will go on the excursion by himself. If we don't get the dolphin swim I think the girls and I will visit Cozumel Sally and play mini golf and then head to Paradise Beach. From what I have read on Sally's post it sounds like a good beach. Two weeks from tomorrow the girls and I will be heading to WDW and then 18 days after we get back we go on the cruise.:bounce: I can't wait. I think I need to start packing.::yes:: :teeth:

Cozumel is the only place where we know for sure what we want to do! We booked the Jeep tour with Disney right at the 60 day mark. We're still tossing around where we want to end up in Grand Cayman, and I think we're going to take it pretty leisurely in Key West. I do know that I want to be in Mallory Square at Sunset.

I noticed that our thread had "fallen" off Page 1 of the Cruise Meets and I couldn't let that be.
Our family is starting to make some more decisions on what to do as far as the excursions. I spent yesterday figuring out the best night for Palo based on which dinning rotation we end up with.
Just in case you hadn't noticed, we are less than 1000 hours from our cruise even with the extra day in February!!!

Here - Here

All our excursions are set except for Key West. My daughter and grandson wanted to do the Catamaran racing but it was filled already when I called. So as it stands right now will probably just walk around and look at the sites. I am going to check after the two day mark to see if anyone canceled.

Did print out info for the "Old Town Trolly" which looked interesting and is cheaper if preordered on line so we might do that.

Cozumel we are doing the Chankanaab Sea Lion Discovery and in
Grand Cayman we have selected the Rum Point Beach adventure and Stingray City Snorkel.

Have started to Review past navigators and set up our schedules. Which activities we want to do on the ship, tours etc.

DVC members, don't forget that there is a members update on Sunday at around 10:30 AM. This is off of some previous Navigators, so times may change since this is Easter Sunday.

When it comes to cruises and WDW we are very organized and try to preschedule as much as possible to fit into our schedules.

See everyone within 41 days. Magic here we come.
