20040131 ~ Cruising Jan 31 2004 Western Who's with us?

Danger, Will Robinson!!!:duck:

The link doesn't work. It's says I'm not the owner and I must sign in.

HOWEVER, I was able to acces the picture through the link in your post on the top of this page. :p

What a guy I am!

They're a fine looking family!!!:cool2:

HADD!!! :wave2:

I HATE MESSIN' WITH PHOTOS!!

Thanks, Gary. I edited the link to the same as above. I'm gonna pretend I'm the grumpy dwarf the rest of the afternoon.

Have a "grumpy" day!

Dean

Good morning, everyone! We had Indian Summer yesterday with sun and temperatures in the low seventies. Of course, today is rain and cool temperatures.

Are we still Grumpy today, Dean? I like the new signature block. Of course, this means I'll have to upgrade mine. :wizard:

I hope Karyn gets back on the boards soon. I miss her around here!!!:(

HADD!!! :wave2:

Good morning!

How could anyone be grumpy two days in a row? Especially on a crisp "Disney" day like today where it is 16 degrees and everything you walk on crackles like the sound of a burning log fireplace.

Haven't heard from Karyn today. But, I'm sure she is checking in on us from time to time. I know she is anxious to get back and join in.

I've had a heck of time getting any photos to post so was REALLY glad when finally got this one to show up in my signature block.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Dean

I like your signature block too, Dean!! I was about to post and mention to you that I read on the tech board that Imagestation was a good place to upload photos to and link to them for inclusion on posts. Then I checked the properties on your new one and that's where it resides. I have had problems linking to photos on Webshots, too. I really think webshots is the problem, not you Dean!

And thanks for posting Karyn's family photo. It's cool seeing everyone!

I can't believe it's November already!! But it's getting closer to our magical cruise! It will be here before we know it. I booked rooms for my sister's and my families for the night before the cruise. I did it through priceline and got the Holiday Inn Select at the airport. I hope it's an okay place, but it's only for one night anyway. I thought it might work out well with the kids, since their ad says kids stay and eat free. So at least that's settled.

Well, have a rainy day, everyone! -- at least for those of us in the 'Burgh (and maybe Gary too!)

Well my bags are packed, I'm ready to go....

it is soooo COLD here, I can't believe it. We have lots of that awful white stuff on the ground, and the vehicles are grumbling in the morning when we want to drive them... how does a four month cruise sound??

HADD!
Ann

Hi-dee Ho, Neighbors!

Ann, can you swing by here and throw me in your suitcase for the four month cruise? I'll be the one standing by the bon-fire trying to warm up!! Man, is it cold. :hyper:

Haven't heard anything more from Karyn. Hope she gets her computer problems fixed soon and rejoins us.

Do any of you have experience with Mr. Sancho's? Been thinking about that for one of our excursions. Being a cruise rookie, never really sure what is good and what isn't. Appreciate any info anyone may have.

Hope everyone has a Disney day!
Dean

Hi Dean! I think your cold weather is moving our way! I think we are going to be freezing at the Pitt-Va Tech game on Saturday night!! I will have to think Magic(al) thought during the game -- to keep warm and for the Pitt team!

We were at Mr. Sanchos last year and really enjoyed it! It was a lovely beach with palapas (tables shaded by palm leaf roof), white sand and beautiful blue water. The sand wasn't as powdery as at 7 Mile beach in Grand Cayman -- it was more like little shells and reminded me of sesame seeds. It was a beautiful beach. We had a very nice time there. It is a nice place to relax, go in the water, try the water trampoline... There were facilities and a restaurant. I had the best guacamole that I have ever tasted, there! It is very easy to get there in a cab on your own, too.

We may go there again this time. The other I am considering is Chankanaab. There isn't as much of a beach there, but there is snorkeling and a Dolphin encounter. For us it will depend on whether everyone wants a beach day, or if some want to snorkel, then we might opt for Chankanaab.

:sunny: Think warm thoughts! :sunny: Think Magic cruise :boat:

I just got a nice note from Karyn. I'm sure she won't mind if I share most of it with you.

Sorry I haven't checked in everyday! I am here, and I am reading the thread. Everyday I try and everyday I get bounced! SOOOOOO! Randy's back from his first commute out to WA, was setting up his office and making appts. mostly. He didn't like the record cold snap and the early snow, but loved the crystal clear view of Mt Ranier and the Olympics! He threatened not to come back, but then I mentioned something about "desertion" and he did return. We go to WDW next week for college visits and a little Food and Wine Festival. We will spend Sat at Epcot w/ our tablemates from last Nov.'s Magic cruise. Maybe next year you can join us!

I've been packing and cleaning and painting and staining! The place is a mess, but I'm told that I am making progress. I just wish it was all over, NOW! We are hoping to make serious steps in the next couple days since Randy has sold his piano business and can give me alot more time on the house now. We just have very different approaches to what has to be done. I guess it's the male/female thing. He wants to do the "projects" I want to systematically finish each room before I move on to the next. We will have to have further discussion on our perceived agendas.

Is it time to pack for the cruise yet? Maybe I can just wash the stuff in my FL suitcase when I get back and put it right back in the suitcase for the cruise. Of course, if I continue losing weight, all of the clothes will be too big and I'll just have to buy new anyway! What a shame!

I've got to dash now! Talk to you later.

Karyn

Hurry back, Karyn. We all miss you!

Dean

It's good to hear from Karyn again. Hang in there, Kiddo! We're all rooting for you!

I think you are going to need to dress in layers Saturday night, Kim! I'll be looking for you on the television from my nice, warm recliner!!!;) GO PITT!!!

Mr. Sancho's sounds cool. Maybe we can make it a DIS excursion on our own!

Now for a Public Service Anouncement. :listen:

WHERE ARE ALL THE REST OF YOU!?!? (And you know who you are!) I (we) would like to hear from you!!! Any lurkers (and you know who YOU are!) would be welcome also. You've gotta be tired of hearing about us regular posters by now, doncha? :faint: Come on in and freshen up the conversation pool!:chat: Don't make me have to name name's now! Hey Dean, maybe it's time to post our roll call again as a reminder.

OK, I feel better know.

HADD!!! :wave2:

Woooooooooo - Whooooooooo!

They need me, they REALLY, REALLY need me! :smooth: ::yes::

I was afraid no one would ever ask.

Drum roll, please......

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

OK, so that's the best drum roll I could come up on short notice. Here's the latest list with PLENTY of room for more. I've sharpened my pencil, cleaned the top of my desk off into the trash to make room to work on the really important stuff, and am anxiously awaiting new arrivals. :hyper:

I am sooooo excited. I was just talking to DSis and she and her family are getting excited too. But, sshh, the kids don't know yet. :bitelip:

And just in case anyone wants to see more about Mr. Sancho's, here is their website... Mr. Sancho's Beach Club and Restaurant :cool2:

Yes, we have quite the group here. For the record, We are flying in at 10:30 A.M. Friday morning and hope to be somewhere in WDW between noon and 1:00 P.M. We're planning on going to Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk Friday night for a pre-sailaway party. Here's a link for that. Jellyrolls!!!
Anyone and Everyone is invited to join us!!! I've been there before and it's a good time. Duelling Pianos!!!

I will have my cell phone and can give the number by PM to any interested parties to meet somewhere.

Hi, shingle! Nice to "see" you again. We are using the Disney air so won't know for awhile what our plans will be. It has been so cold here we will probably just soak up the Orlando warm air. But thanks for the offer.

kim, thanks for the link to Mr. Sancho's. We were planning on the Beach Break excursion but might have more fun doing this one.

Ann, has our cold weather made it to you yet? It has actually warmed up to 22 this morning. Should take my john-boat down to the lake to get into the cruise mode but darn thing may get stuck in the ice.

Have a warm and :sunny: day!
Dean

Hi Everyone -

Dean, it is cold, cold, cold!!! We have -16 degree celcius weather, have to scrape the windshields, and lots of snow! It's supposed to get in the double digits next week but I'll believe it when I see (or feel) it!

I've started my packing list already but like Karyn, I'm hoping that my clothes will become too big for me and that I'll have to buy new clothes... My chips, dip and pepsi diet doesn't seem to be working though so I guess I'll have to try something more conventional!

Shingle - The Illuminations cruise sounds like fun to me... I'll have a chat with Gary, Gail and DH to see if they are all up for it...

Have a great day everyone, stay warm!!

Ann

Hey Kim!!! HOW 'BOUT THOSE PANTHERS!!!!
Have you and John thawed out yet?
Awesome game!!!!

Hallelujah, group!

We've got a new face among us!!:goodvibes

Welcome, Bonkinthesota. We're glad you are here. Feel free to jump in anytime it looks like you can get a word in edgewise. So far, this group has been a lot of fun!

I've taken the liberty of officially adding you and yours to the unofficial listing of DIS'ers.

Have a great week everyone!

Dean:teeth:

Gary -- I have finally thawed out!! ::yes:: At least it was dry, because cold rain would have been the worst! We had a great time and what a great game!!!
