DH gave me the OK to start planning our next trip (I had to take this year off:( I've been there in Oct & Nov so I know what to expect weather wise but I have a choice of dates that will minimize the days I need to take the kids out of school - which would you pick?? I've never been there around Veterans Day - but I'm leaning towards those days for more flexibility. What would you do????

Wed 10/6/04 -Tues 10/12/04 (Columbus Day)
or
any six days between Fri 11/5 - Sun 11/14 (11/11 Veterans Day)
or
any six days Fri 11/19/04 - Sun 11/28/04 (11/25 Thanksgiving)

Thanks!
Christine

Ha! I have the same dillema.

We are planning 10/9-10/19, or 11/6-11/16.

I like November because it is value season. October is regular season.

However, got to take the kid out of school longer in November.

we are also tryin to decide between Oct and Nov. --last year we went in october and got to go to MNSSHP and really loved it, DH would like to do that again---also in October there will be more daylight hours although, i am not sure of all the park hours.

We took our kids out of school the last week thinking we would have the parks to ourselves. It was like a mini spring break down there! The whole state of NJ and Virginia (I think) has the week off and many people were there. Fantasyland and Toontown were unbearable at times. All in all, the crowds were manageable, if you plan and use Fastpass. However, we have gone in early December in the past and it is HEAVEN at that time. I'm sure Jersey week crowds are nothing compared to summer crowds, but just beware.

We were there 10/4-10/11. As it got closer to Columbus day, it was more crowded.

We prob. won't go in Oct. again. Did not think the MNSSHP was all that, and the increase in crowds wasn't worth it.

I've always heard that November wa a good time.

We normally go the end of Sept. Great for low crowds. This year we went Oct 2-8 because we wanted to hit MNSSHP. The crwods really were not that bad and with Fastpass everything was doable. The longest line I saw was 1 hour wait for MS but this was the day before the park was to close early for the media event so Im sure people were trying to hit it before they left.
