Congrats on your birthday! I hope you had a good one. If you got scrapbook supplies, you must have!!! Now you can do the fun stuff. I know it's hard to find the time, but if you make it a priority now, it'll be much quicker and easier than if you wait and forget the memories. Let me know how it goes and if you need anything.

I like the idea of switching off with hot and cold weather. I could stand a week of cooling off after each week of sauna time...

Hi Everyone - I haven't been receiving the updates on my email (that there has been a reply to this thread) so I'm glad I checked this morning...

Cap, PA is Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Sorry for the acronym. It's about 1 1/2 hours north of Saskatoon, very close to a National Park and all of the good lakes in Saskatchewan. We bought an acreage with 2.5 acres just outside of Prince Albert. It's in a beautiful area, with lots of trees/forest all around us...

We also got a puppy - a golden lab. Jaclyn named him Timone. We'll have to check out that invisible fencing that you were mentioning earlier on the boards.

Jaclyn is excited about the move. She loves the house and is looking forward to making new friends, and I've assured her that her friends from here can come visit anytime and vice versa.

Nikki, your car sounds awesome!! I have a new company car that should be arriving any day now - a Monte Carlos. It will be nice to drive something new.

We cancelled our February cruise and have decided to do the July 2, 2005 cruise from Los Angeles. Since we're going to Disney and then on the Christmas cruise in December, we decided that two cruises in two months was just too much of a luxury. Also, it's much cheaper for us to fly to L.A. than it is to Florida.

Thanks for the update. Judi and I are booked on the 5/14/05 Florida to California repositioning cruise, so we'll likely be cancelling our March cruise.

Two and 1/2 acres - sounds huge. We hope you really enjoy it.

Hi everyone!

I thought I would check in and was specifically wondering if anyone booked a California cruise. I see that Cap is doing a repositioning, which I thought sounded so cool and Annie is doing a Mexican Riveria -- also something I would like to do. And I saw on another thread that Juli may be doing a repositioning too. Anyone else?! I would have loved to book one, but it wasn't in the cards for us. In fact, we are still planning to go on another Western on the Magic in early 2006 (either end of January or beginning of February). And this coming January we are going on the Norwegian Sun -- although not before spending three days in WDW.

Annie, I too had wondered what the PA stood for. If I hadn't known you recently got a new job, I would have thought that you and Randy decided to become neighbors of Gail and Gary! Living in PA myself, Pennsylvania that is, it's the first thing that comes to my mind. But now I have learned something new.

Anyone have any vacation plans for this summer? We are heading to the beach in August. We go to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware each summer. We really enjoy it, even though the Atlantic Ocean there cannot compare to the Caribbean Sea.

DH and I are going for a mini-holiday to Grand Cayman in October. Over the weekend I decided to try to book a resort through Priceline and got the Hyatt Regency for $90/night. That was the highlight of my weekend (other than all the yardwork )

Wow, I'm jealous, all these cool plans! Our summer will thus far consist of taking Kelsey to the airport for her 16 day trip to Australia as a USA Student Ambassador (without me, on the other side of the world...EEP!) and I am filling out the paper work for Tyler's 2 summer camps, a MultiSport one, and a Golf one, he wants to learn to play that.

Other than that, it'll be a matter of surviving the Democratic National Convention here in Boston...and maybe a road trip of two in the new car - I actually just sent away for info about Nova Scotia, I'd love to drive up to Maine and get on the ferry and go spend a few days up there!

Still a TON of DVC points to use up, but no definite plans have even STARTED to form... *sigh*

Spent the day at home yesterday with Kelsey, who somehow got her first attack of Poison Ivy all over her face...she's home again today with it, because everything swelled up so badly, and is so red and painfully itchy. She's pretty miserable, and her brother is complaining that it's not fair she gets to stay home *grin*.

My next big purchase? Gotta call about the invisible fencing now that Pixie is getting more adventurous with her big brother... How exciting will THAT purchase be!

We will be going back WDW on October. Would have liked to do the re-positioning cruise through the canal but don't think the 2 week cruise would go over well.

We are looking for a place on the coast for a week this summer. Suggestions welcomed. We are looking at PEI and the Atlantic sea board. Anyone stayed at the Hilton Head Island resort?

Judi and I did the Maine, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island drive a few years ago. We absolutely loved it. If you go, check out the ferry schedules and possible need for reservations in advance.

Judi and I own at Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort and enjoy it very much. They always seem to have things for kids to do. The beach house is lovely, with both the pool and the beach. You might have problems getting reservations this close to summer.

You also might consider Boothbay Harbor, Maine. It's very enjoyable. For a great American Plan sailing vacation, try Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Harbor. Kids and adults love it.

Eric and I are booked for the May 14th repo cruise, but I'm not sure it will actually happen because of the cost. There are NO discounts on this one and we are trying to buy a lot to build a house on. That isn't as much fun but...

Cap, I saw you and Juli on that board, as well as some friends from the Cruisetoberfest II we went on last Oct. I REALLY want to go, and so does Eric. We will see...

Our summer traveling just happened last week. We got home yesterday from Salt Lake after traveling there for our oldest son's wedding! It was beautiful, and the bride and groom are extatic with joy. I'm glad we weren't the parents of the bride ($$$), but our part of this wasn't cheap either. It was so worth it to see them so happy, and to know that we helped that all happen. And.... I got a great cruise formal night dress out of it!

I hope everyone is having a happy May, and that you will all give us a call when you come to Orlando! We'd love to see you again!!!

Hi Everyone - Hope you're having a great summer!!! We are now settled (somewhat) in our new place, and enjoying being so close to the lakes (we are about 20 -45 minutes from the most beautiful lakes in Saskatchewan). We got a puppy, a yellow lab named Timone, who is fitting in quite nicely with our family... I just thought I'd say a quick "hi" and hope to start up the virtual hot tub parties again in the fall...

Hi Annie, glad to hear you're all settled in now, say hello to everyone!

Our summer has been a combination of slow and crazy. Right now it's crazy, with Tyler in sports camp (next week he learns golf) and Kelsey just out of New Zealand and right this very second asleep in Australia! When she wakes up it's off to snorkle at the Great Barrier Reef - that Catamaran ride was practice for her, she should do great.

Getting ready for her trip, physically with packing and such, and emotionally, was hard, but we did it, and I'm managing to call her in her hotel room every night before bed, to touch bases, so that's helping me.

Being the lucky parents, it's work work work for us, with time off to see Kelsey off, or for appointments and such...and next week for me here in Boston is going to be hard, with the Democratic National Convention screwing up our commute badly! *sigh*

Let's see, what else. Loving my new Honda Pilot like you would not believe...Pixie is getting fixed today, I have to call the vet to check on her now actually...oh, and get this, just banked 150 DVC points from this year to next, and have 70 I HAVE to use by the 31st of January, so I just got off the phone with Member Services - I booked 4 nights at Saratoga Springs for my in-laws to use, which takes up 62 of those points for us. I'm jealous...the last two times points have been used, they have been for family, and not ME! *pouts*

I need some Disney sometime soon. *sigh*

I stumbled across this discussion the "afterglow" (love that!!!)
and thought I would stop by to say hello to all of you friends from the disney cruise in Jan!!
Mark and I just booked a return trip to WDW for Aug 30th/ 1week at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
I don't recall if I had let any of you know but after our cruise in Jan. we spent an extra week at WDW and I got "deathly" ill with food poisoning. I was hospitalized (taken by ambulance from Grand Floridian at 3 am) on the 4th day of the week... I lost 15 pounds in 3 days.
So dear hubby and kids spent the week playing without me. I certainly could not ask them to sit at my bedside with Magic Kingdom calling their names!!

Anyhow...I managed to fly home while "medicated" and was bed ridden here for another 14 days. It genuinely was the worst I have ever felt.

SO....to make a long story shorter, we booked again as I missed out on so much with the children and the airfare specials are AWESOME for the fall.

We had booked a 14 day RCCL cruise in Feb. however had to cancel as I decided to return to school full time to get my teaching degree.
(If you recall I was a travel agent for 15 years and now a SAHM for 4 years)
SO....our alternate right now is Grand Cayman for the kids spring break as I too will have the same week off.
Mark is doing great...still selling those Fords CAP!!!


Nice to read up on how well so many of you are doing and your future reservations on Disney!!!

Hey everybody,
I'm glad to hear you are having a great summer, with all that kids camp and stuff going on.

We're just working and loving the weather, and hoping for fall soon! I love fall and winter here, it sure beats shoveling snow! Not to rub it in or anything... I remember all of you having a hard time getting out of Boston and Canada in Jan. That's scary.

Our son who's been living at home is leaving in a week to go back to college in Idaho, so we'll be empty nesters again till Dec. when our youngest comes home from California. We will use the time VERY well, enjoying the peace of a lonely house, and missing DS a lot.

Our oldest got married in May and we flew out to Utah for that. It was beautiful and we love our new daughter. I'm so excited to have another woman in the family, I won't be the only one any more!

We have booked the repositioning cruise next May, and I noticed Cap on the board for that too, anyone else going? I'm not sure we will actually go, we are looking for a lot to build a house on, and the price is about the same as the down payment, but we shall see... By the time we need to pay any more, we will either have a lot or know we won't have one for a while, so that is when we will have to decide. It sure looks like fun!

Hi! It's great to see this thread pop up and to hear that everyone is doing well!

I can't believe how quickly the summer is flying by. We just got back last night from a long weekend in Washington DC. I hadn't been there in a while and it was Luke's first time. We all had a good time. And then in less than three weeks, we leave for the beach -- a week at Rehoboth Beach. We put our deposit on the condo in January and it seemed so far away and here it is coming up already and after we get back, summer will be winding down.

Just like that - poof - it will be fall again!! I like fall, but we know what's next. And since I am not as fortunate as Renae, I will be shoveling snow!! I hope to one day be living somewhere that I won't have to too!

I have been checking the DCL dates daily since we want to move our reservation that we booked onboard to go on the Magic in January 2006. I thought early 2006 dates would have been released by now -- I am hoping any day.

We went to PEI for a week and enjoyed the beach. We stayed in a lighthouse for the week and the kids loved it. Ate seafood and sat on a beach with no one around.

Just waiting for the AP discounts to come out for October. Have our Not so Scary party tickets.

hi everyone great to see some of you are still keeping in touch. as for ourselfs we are going on a med cruise in three weeks ports or call will be tunisia, rome, florence monaco and monte carlo and finally barcelona. RANDY dale sends you his best wishes he has just had the part of the artfull dodger in the dickens version of oliver he is then hoping to enlist with rada in London maybe if you ever take an holiday in the uk we will get you annie and jacklyn tickets to watch him perform in the west end.

Hello folks!!!

We haven't checked in for a while and I wanted to let everyone know we are fine and looking forward to our return to WDW and OKW in December. The summer is going by way too fast and we have been busy. We hope to go to an Irish Festival in Ohio on the 14th of this month to see Off Kilter, the band from EPCOT.
We are also planning a cruise with my parents on HAL in the spring.

I hope everyone is well and enjoying what is left of summer!!
