2004-01-31 Western Cruise Afterglow

Thank you for the note. I had not noticed and have been going through CP too.

So how do I get to the community board?

On to more questions - did anyone get pictures of the facts on the Magic that were on the wall? Things such as the number of coffees served each day etc? I was hoping to use them in the scrap book.

Mike

OK I found the community board.

long day.

Dizmomof2 will hit me later for it for the rest of you.

Mike

Funny, but I never took pictures of them even though I enjoyed reading them on the way to the stateroom everyday! I'd love a copy of them if you get some.

Mike- What are you doing online at work!!!!

I have them on video, if you want the facts I can write them up...but no photos *sigh* I thought of it, but then just did the video instead!

Renae, I like that idea. Right now just talking about Rebel makes Kelsey cry, but everyone else feel better...I just took his collar and put it on the light next to my bed, so whenever I wake up or go to bed I can touch it to remember him. :) That makes ME feel better.

Today was very cathartic for us all.

Nikki - If you have the facts that would be great. I thought of the pictures as I walked past each day but somehow never got around to taking the pictures. Thought I would add them inbetween the pictures in the scrapbook.

If I post a request for the pictures in one of the groups about to leave, think they would take some digital pictures for a disboard member?

Jen - Given what I do right now I am wired into most networks all day. As I have been moving Disney information for the past few days, the board just sits there with everything else.

Mike

OK, I thought that over 4 cruises on the Magic, I had taken pictures of every square inch of that ship... where and what are these facts that you say are listed on the way to your stateroom??? If you do get the list of facts, please send it to me, and if you get pictures, please forward them! I love trivia, and this is the best kind!
Nikki, I'm glad to hear that my idea helped. I hope that it will ease the sadness in your family as well as help you remember happier times with Rebel. Take care,
Renae

Pics on the wall, along the same hallway as the movie theater...in the bow I think...that say things like how tall the ship is, how many cups of coffee (bad coffee *grin*) they serve, how many gallons of paint, etc.... =)

I have to find that spot on my video and write 'em down!

Nikki,
Now I remember! I don't know why I never wrote them down, but I didn't... scatterbrained, I guess.

Renae

The fact lists were toward the bow and the nautical alphabet was at the midships.

Any other suggestions for the scrapbook pages?

Mike

Hello all,

We were WAAYY down on the board so I thought I'd bring us back up to the top.

dizdadof2 is off to Disney tomorrow, (lucky rat!) and he's not taking me!! Hoping everyone is doing well. I wish we were back on the ship though!

Off to volleyball!

TTFN :sunny:

Jen,
I'm sure hoping to hear from Mike while he's down here. He's sure going to be happy with the weather. It's in the low 80's, so it's swimming weather for anyone, even me! I love this kind of a spring. The oranges are blooming and the air smells so good. I'm not trying to make all of you jealous, I'm just not used to such great things yet. I do miss the lilacs though... I'll get to smell them in Salt Lake in May when I get to go to my oldest son's wedding. I'm looking forward to that!
ttfn, Renae

Renae, I'm sorry, but you are simply NOT old enough to have a son old enough to get married...what's the age of consent in Utah?

Funny you like lilacs...they abound here in MA, and I HATE the smell of them... (it makes me sneeze). We dont' have orange blossoms, but apple orchards are everywhere in my town, and we have an Apple Blossom celebration, with a parade and a queen and all that...DD wants to do that soon.

It's cold and drizzly here in Boston, with about 4 days of rain expected from this point on. BUT, I just got my Disney cruise line DVD yesterday (FINALLY) so I'm going to mess around with that tonight. :) Something to look forward to!

Nikki
I hate to admit this, but I am old enough to have sons that age. I'll be 47 next month. My 3 sons are 23. 21. and 20 years old. It's so fun to be a mom of kids this age! I don't have to be the bad guy anymore, I can just enjoy them. I love it, and having them bring their friends over and all the youth and exuberance they bring with them is a joy I never could have guessed at when they were young and driving me nuts.
As for lilacs, I've loved them all my life, and my son Dave sent me a big box of them from Salt Lake last year for Mother's day, and they made ME sneeze! I have aquired some allergies since we moved here, unfortunately, but I would never have told him this to make him sad. I'll just take some claritin with me to the wedding and enjoy them. I grew up in Washington, so I know and love apple blossoms! My parents have 70 acres of that beautiful stuff and I would love to be there when they are blooming. I sure miss eating them right off the trees, but... I will have to be content with oranges that way.
Sorry to hear about the drizzle, but spring is on it's way, and sooner or later, you will be wishing for cooler weather, so enjoy it while you can...
I STILL haven't got my DVD. You getting yours gives me hope. You'd think they could get one to Orlando fairly quickly! lol
take care,
Renae

Well dizdadof2 is back down in Orlando and he and his wife are shopping up a storm! They were at the Character Outlet when they phoned me a few minutes ago. The weathers great, having a wonderful time, yadda, yadda, yadda. I think he just phoned to tease me! (Actually it was to get sizes as he's buying me stuff! teeth:Your forgiven.)

auntrenae: he's at the Coronado Springs and definitely wants to meet up with you. He got down there and found his computer wasn't working. He got another network card and all should be well by tomorrow. Maybe we'll hear from him yet!

Nikki: Hope you are all well. Your family remains in my thoughts and prayers.

Talk at you guys later!

Jen,
I'm glad to hear that Mike is here. It is beautiful weather right now and not too hot. I'm anxious to hear from Mike and to talk scrapping with him.
take care everyone,
Renae

OK made it back to Disney and the computer is now working again. The laptop did not like the trip this time.

Renae I have you number and will call after work today. Isabel is out at the pool enjoying the swimming weather!

Went shopping yesterday to make Jen happy. She usually helps book all my trips to Disney, has to be some payback.

Mike

Mike,
I must have given you the wrong number, you're one digit off. I PM'd you with the correct one,
Renae

Hey everybody,:wave2:
I got to meet Mike tonight. We had fun talking about the cruise and our favorite things about it. We decided that food and dinner photos were the most popular for both of us, and probably the whole world... I sure miss that! We had a great time talking about the fun we had watching our family members enjoying the stingray city trip and the coral gardens. Now I want to meet all of you all over again, and get back in that beautiful water... and play with the stingrays again and ..... oh, now I've done it... I'll have to go again soon! :hyper:
missing all of you and MY ship!
Renae

Thank you agin Renae. Hope the Eisner talks helped.

Now I have to get the the pictures looked at again.

Mike
