I've been a member of this site for awhile but haven't posted much. You know me as Disneyfan63 but I'm a member of at least three other Disney-related communities:
On kathiandbrian.com (Brian and Kathi are a husband and wife from my neck of the woods in southern New Jersey; outside of Philadelphia, PA) I am Jimtravelfan.
On the under-construction Magicalley.com I am CMJim (the "CM" stands for "Chatmaster"), an assistant chat host.
On Tagrel.com I call myself Jimbolini1963 (I just appended my birth year to a name a classmate wrote in my 11th-grade yearbook).
I haven't read rec.arts.disney.parks in a long time, even though I have it in my newsreader subscription list, but may take this day off from work (for a dental appointment) to try to play catch up (as opposed to playing mustard (ok, everyone can groan!)).
I've posted my tentative itinerary for my trip, December 3-14 in All Star Music (champagne tastes are hard to indulge on a beer budget, but I'm not complaining; it's Disney!), in other threads; but because I have some free time, especially from late afternoon of December 7th on, I will try to attend some of the various DIS meets. I hope I am welcome.
Where can I get one of those DIS pins or green ribbons?
I think that I'm a foodie (I love to eat), though at just a hair under 5'7" (1.68m) and around 180 lbs (about 82 kilos), I'm short but not grossly fat. At 40, I have short dark brown hair with a little gray, a bushy brown mustache with a little gray, and wear eyeglasses. While I'm no Mel Gibson or Antonio Banderas, I won't (yet lol) shatter mirrors with a mere glance.
I've been a Disney fan for as long as I can remember, though this will be only my third trip to the World. I went to Orlando in 1982 with my high school senior class, where we spent a day at Magic Kingdom, one at River Country, and one even at Wet n Wild. I also went to
Disneyland in 1998 with my mom, aunt, uncle, and two cousins. My last trip to WDW was solo from October 13-20, 2000 which included a day at Sea World.
Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Jim
