I received the January issue of Conde Nast Traveler this afternoon. I thought you would like to know that the following properties made the (Reserve) Gold List:

Boardwalk Resort:78.7 overall rating
Hilton Head Resort: 76.6 overall rating

The Grand Floridian was the only Disney property to make the Gold List, with an overall rating of 85.9. Only 173 properties in the US made that list. As a point of comparison, the Ritz Carlton in Naples was the top rated Florida property with a rating of 88.1

Wow! Great to see that Hilton Head made the list.

As if it's not already hard enough to get a reservation there in the summer, LOL!!

Thanks for pointing this out!

Actually, Little Palm Island in the Keys was the highest ranking Florida resort with a 91.9, and Ritzes in Palm Beach and Sarasota were higher than the one in Naples too. I subscribed to CN Traveler for years now, and I devour their Gold List issue. Mostly it's all just a dream, because I could never afford Little Palm Island. But it's nice to know I own a piece of a couple of the properties on the Reserve List.

Jimbo, you're right. I guess I missed those as the numbers just rolled on by. The Little Palm Island resort was listed as one of the best hotels in Florida on a Travel Channel special that I watched the other day. (My wife was drooling as she watched that show.) The AKL was listed as the best-themed hotel and the YC-BC was listed as best family hotel in that special.

It is really nice to see HH recognized, although this is a repeat honor for the resort. Many times it seems that the HH resort is not given its due to its location outside WDW. Perhaps this will spur other DVC'ers to give it a try.

Isn't this the 3rd or 4th year for Boardwalk to make the list??
